  1. And for the blabbering they did about Bell, we held him to 3.5 yds/att. I'll take that every time against a RB of that caliber like Zeke and Barkley.
  2. Sorry to confuse you, but of course this implies that one is preferred. The starter will get more snaps.
  3. He certainly made his share of mistakes. Some 0of those passes should never have been attempted. He needs to just throw it away sometimes. Thankfully, Maye dropped that 3rd pick! That said, I thought his accuracy looked a lot better than last year when receivers were having to adjust to the ball as often as not. He still threw some off target passes, but not as frequently as I'm used to seeing.
  4. Select one or the other. I know it's only 1 game, so I won't hold you to this answer. What's your feeling at this point?
  5. It's premature to sign him at this point. Might as well see how his season goes. Maybe at midseason, if he's playing really well, we can give him an offer.
  6. He Well, he did throw 2 picks. What did you expect? Don't blame PFF for it. For the record, they are much better judges of talent than the vast majority of posters here that seem a bit starry eyed where there has been no real evidence to support it. Allen still has an awful lot to prove, yet most Bills fans talk like he's already done that. He hasn't. He threw several passes that he never should have and it should have been 3 picks, with that drop by Maye being the 3rd.
  7. Who says defense is no longer relevant? They won that game for us. 4 turnovers and a safety as well as a pick 6, plus all the time they spent on the firls in the first 3 quarters because the offense couldn't do squat and they still came out on top. Like I've been saying for a while, it will take time for this offense to gel. I'm hoping that 3 quarters is enough. Any win is still a win, but a comeback on the road against a division rival is especially sweet.
  8. Yeah. The Jets suck, OP. Hope you enjoyed your laugh. Who's laughing now?
  9. Get ready to be laughed off this message board. Sorry your cousin wasted his money and your time.
  10. ...and a 6 pack to wash it down and help you celebrate (I hope).
  11. I'm excited too. I have this feeling that it may take this offense a while to meld, but if Allen can make a big step, it will be worth the wait. I also think people tend to underrate the Jets front 7. They will be very good under Greg Williams' tutelage. Don't expect Singletary to bust loose week one and man do I ever hope I'm wrong about that. I'm also concerned about Edmunds and Oliver. How big of a jump can Edmunds make? How long until Oliver hits stride? I guess I've just learned to taper my expectations over the last 59 years to numb some of the pain, but I really do believe the Pegulas are committed and will spend what it takes to keep the right GM and HC in place once they find them. The facilities at OBD are as good as any in the NFL. I just hope they have the right people in the right places this time around. I'm not getting any younger and I well remember how disappointed my father was before he passed away that the Bills never won a SB and were usually in the tank. Show me that I'm wrong, Bills. Show me that it's time to believe again and not just because you say so. I want to see it on the scoreboard, in the standings and in the playoffs. I'm tired of my team, being the laughing stock of the league. And despite my pessimism, I'm still on pins and needles. What will this rebuild produce? Will it be the one we've been waiting for or will we be disappointed again? Is Allen the real deal or will his inaccuracy be his downfall? Too many questions! Let's start answering them already!
  12. I expect the O to struggle right out of the gate. I think the Jets D will be solid, especially up front. Greg Williams' blitzes will keep Josh Allen on the run. Better days are ahead, though.
  13. This is great news! He owned up to last season long ago and has now impressed his new teamates with his renewed commitment and work ethic. Look for him to raise his game in 2019. That said, I think there could be some early struggles on the OL due to all the new faces there and all the shuffling and injuries that prevented working the starting 5 together much. Josh Allen was the other captain on offense. Lo and Edmunds were elected on D. Hauschka and Reid Ferguson on ST.
  14. I liked the team's original name -- Bisons. I've never cared for "Bills" even though this will always be my team. I'd like to see new new unis too -- Beige, brown (trim) and a copper bison head on the helmet.
  15. We all assume that there are better punters out there than what we already have, but why make that assumption when you really don't know? If someone better was available, there's no reason to believe they wouldn't sign him.
  16. Well, Nsekhe and Feliciano are career backups, but maybe they'll both be OK. The rest of the OL is near average, depending on how Ford pans out. In either case, that's still a big improvement.
  17. I just hope Ed Oliver is ready. I know L Bell will be. Also, Bills fans seem to have forgotten that Darnold isn't a rookie any more either. I predict a solid game for Q Williams and Jerry Hughes, who will be keen to show that he can still be disruptive.
  18. A great player and a class act. He's going to have a big year and he deserves it and then some. If the Bills can't hoist the Lombardi Trophy, I'll be rooting for Shady.
  19. Wade and Williams (if we can). I think Williams has played himself onto someone's 53 man roster, but he'll have to learn a new playbook, so he won't be on the field for a while. Those are the 2 obvious misses on the 53 man roster. I don't know why they kept so many OL and TE's other than trade bait, but what can they possibly expect from guys like Boettger and McDermott? I could see someone giving up a 7th round pick for Croom, though. Other than Wade and Williams, I don't really care. I doubt it will make much difference anyways.
  20. He had a great rookie year, but hasn't done squat since other than find a spot on a very weak LB corps. On top of that, he's a real jerk and a cheap shot artist. No thanks. He doesn't fit the culture they are trying to create and I wouldn't cheer for him even if he was a Bill again. No thanks Kiko.
  21. Well the article says "4" and lists 3 more below his pic. I think this is a good list. I'd add Croom too. We have 5 TE's and 9 OL. Obviously we aren't keeping all of them. Bojo is just plain awful. They've GOT to be able to find a better punter. I just can't believe it hasn't already happened. We have the worst punter in the NFL.
  22. Don't be surprised if it doesn't all come together that quickly. I expect to see gradual improvement as the season progresses. I'm also still very much concerned about the O:, particularly the G position. Spain is the only good G on the roster unless they play Ford at RG. They basically signed an above avg C (Morse), an avg G (Spain) and drafted Ford. If Ford plays G, that will help the interior, but then Nsekhe will play RT and I don't think that's a great situation. Nsekhe is just a backup caliber player, IMO. I'm very excited about both of our rookie TE's, though. In a couple years, we could be seeing an awful lot of those guys. I'm also really excited about Singletary. He must have looked a lot better in camp than he did in preseason for them to release McCoy. Singletary played well in the preseason, but he wasn't all that. Let's see how he does when the games count.
  23. We got nada in the star power department. Beane says FA is for filling holes, so obviously he's looking for those guys on draft day. Maybe in another year or so. Let's hope. I'm getting tired of the Bills being mediocre.
