  1. Whoah !!! Let's get up above average before we start comparing this to the EC. They have a very long way to go to reach that level.
  2. I doubt anyone in the organization is deliberately holding anyone back, much less Singltary. I too wonder why they don't give him a lot more touches. It's a mistake that I hope gets corrected soon.
  3. I thought they did OK in the run game and kudos to Ford for defending his QB on what should have been an unecessary roughness call. That said, he's still a work in progress.
  4. Yes. Stopping Barkley was clearly a much bigger priority as it should be. The Giants have perhaps the best RB in the NFL and Eli is just terrible as are his receivers right now.
  5. His accuracy is much better, but don't kid yourself. It's still an issue. Accuracy is always an issue and Allen's accuracy is now pretty average. He was awful under pressure in week 1, which is another big issue, but to his credit, he cleaned a lot of that up in week 2. Most posters are overrating him now. That Giants game was his best game to date, however, so there is some cause for optimism.
  6. I disagree. Let's spend that money on a WR, a #1 CB or Lo's replacement after the season. Hopefully, DS will be back soon because he has been the best player on this offense with too few carries. J Brown has been very good, but Singletary has been better.
  7. Yes, there were a few off-target passes from Josh, but it looked a little better than last week and much better than last year. I'm hopeful that he can continue to improve. His decisions were better. No picks this time and a 101 Passing Efficiency Rating!!! It started ugly with the Barkley running the ball down our throats, but in the end, they held him to 107 yards, He still had a fat 5.9 yards/carry, but we did a good job against Eli. Can't really complain. 22 points surrendered in 2 games for a 11 points/game avg. Not too shabby, even if it was only against the Jets and Giants. I still want to see Singletary get more carries. The guy has 127 yards in 10 carries for a 12.7 average. I think he's earned more snaps. It was good to have an experienced veteran that knows how to protect the ball in there, though, after the hammy pull. I'd like to see a more balanced attack as well. Knox may have fudged a catch, but his blocking was superb. He just manhandled Ogletree on that one play when Ogletree threw him down out of frustration. I really like our rookie TE's and I suspect they will be a strong unit for us in the future.
  8. Maybe we should wait until Josh starts playing well on a regular basis before anyone thinks of taking any lessons from us on that topic.
  9. They've learned how to win a lot of SB's. Maybe we should be paying more attention.
  10. Want to watch the Bills play now? Feeling impatient? Get your popcorn ready. Load up Madden 20 and go into Settings/Game Options. Alter the default settings as follows. > Set clock to 15 min. Make sure Play Clock and Accelerated Play Clock are on. Set the Minimum PC Time to 15 secs. Set Difficulty to PRO. If you set it higher, every QB in the NFL looks like the GOAT. >Download and install roster file BBV3. >Download and install CPU Slider file BBV3CPU. Now go start the game in SPECTATOR mode by placing the controller in the middle to begin the game. Select YES to verify. Enjoy!
  11. We won with defense. I like that very much. The NFL needs to bring back the bump and run. They've cheapened the passing game.
  12. Look at Sweeney's separation! He's practically off the chart. Hey Josh! He's getting HUGE separation. Try throwing the ball to him once in a while! BTW, did I mention that he has elite hands and he's a very good blocker? If he keeps this up, Kroft will be TE #2 when he returns.
  13. I wouldn't get too carried away when almost all the short range stuff was poor, another pick was called back and a 4th potential pick was dropped after hitting Maye right in the hands. That's not to mention those fumbles. Clearly, he has a very long way to go to even qualify as a bonafide NFL starter. Flame all you like. I will concede when I see JA play at a much higher level on a consistent basis. 4 turnover that should have been 6 and the guys a hero. What excuses will some use nexr week if he has yet another bad game? The good news is that his accuracy was much better than last year when he wasn't hurried. The bad news is that he plays as poorly as any other QB I've ever watched when he has to move. He simply comes unglued when there is any pressure.
  14. DS has 4 carries in his career. SB has firmly established himself as 1 of the 2 top RB's in the NFL. I hope Devin has a huge day, but it would be foolish to bet on him when his own HC won't even name him as the starter.
  15. Man I just love it when the Bills shut down the run! To me, if the other team can run on you, you're defenders are a bunch of p*[]<>s. I hope they play even better against Barkley and Elliot!
  16. I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the info.
  17. Results on many stats are skewed after just 1 game. They saw what I saw -- A QB whose accuracy and ball placement looked much better that made several bonead plays. His "bonehead" plays all came after he'd been flushed from the pocket or under duress. The OL will get better and when Josh wasn't hurried, he was throwing dimes. He needs to handle pressure better. No one is better when they're running for their life, but handling it well is still a competitive advantage. An incomplete pass is better than a sack, or worse, a pick. He needs to learn to always put 2 hands on the ball before taking a hit. It will come for him. At least now that I know that he can aim, I like his chances better. Let's see how Allen looks in week 2. Big games for Zay and Isaiah against the Giants #3 & #4 DB's.
  18. I've been highly critical of Allen and he did throw some off target passes. I also thought he did get rattled into more bad decisions than you'd like when forced to move off his spot (like throwing across his body or not seeing a defender like when Maye dropped a sure pick). All QB's are worse under pressure, but some handle it better than others. Still, most of his passes were dimes unlike last year where receivers had to adjust to the ball so often. The OL may need another offseason to be solid, but if they are just above average, that will really help. I am encouraged. A couple thoughts on his fumbles: I think his first instinct on the 1st one should have been to put 2 hands on the ball. Fingers are better for grabbing things than elbows. Also, I think he needs to quit with that fake pass/deke move when he's running to try to get a defender to hesitate. One of these days, somebody is going to swat the ball out of his hand while he's holding it away from his body with 1 hand like that. Also, he's often past the LOS when he does it. Just my 2 cents.
  19. I forgot about that. Only 2 teams gave up fewer than 8. The Pats and Pack each surrendered only 3 points.
  20. 2nd against the pass (155 yds). 7th against the run (68 yds). T-7th in sacks with 4. The total was 223 yds allowed. We were 11th in points allowed. Even more impressive was their 3.4 yd/play allowed which leads the league with a bullet. The next closest mark was 3.7. I'm hoping for more of the same as well as more picks generated by our pass rush. I've always been a defense first guy. Nothing makes me more excited than seeing a LB with a long mean streak plant a RB on his back for a loss on 4th and inches. Pretty passes are OK, but give me a D that just b-slaps an offense every time they try anything to get things moving and I'm a happy man.
  21. 2 surprises -- Singletary and Sweeney. I have to guess that Singletary was making mistakes on plays where he didn't have the ball in his hands. Well, I know how to fix that problem. Put the ball IN his hands more often. Can Sweeney really be this great? I can't wait to see more of him.
