  1. As the announcers just pointed out, this was the first really good offense the Pats have faced and they put up 37 points.
  2. It's also a make or break season for Marrone. He was OK in year 1, but has fallen on his face since. I'm glad he quit on us.
  3. @ CLE -- L @MIA - W DEN _ W @DAL - L BAL _ L @PIT - L @NE - L NYJ - W That puts us at 10-6 for the season.
  4. I think the Bills better not sleep on the Browns. They have more talent on their roster. What they're lacking is a good coach.
  5. I'm much more worried about pinning the hopes of this franchise on Allen's passing arm than I am Singletary or Gore. That said, the right side of our OL is a serious liability despite all the FA signings.
  6. Then I'll just find something else to do like I do every Sunday when the Bills aren't playing.
  7. C And please explain to the Ravens who just beat the pants off NE with a 37 point game that you can't win with a run first offense in 2019 because that's exactly what they are doing. We have 2 very good RB's and a QB whose running ability is elite, but his pocket passing ability is average on a good day, so why the &%#@ aren't we running more? Sure, we ran today because of the wind, but we should start running more every week. I couldn't care less why anyone thinks that running the ball and the year are related to one another because playing to your strengths has always been the best way to win and Josh Allen's pocket passing is most certainkly not a strength for this team.
  8. My big concern for this team is the GM. We are getting gashed up the middle, despite the 2nd half turnaround, so let's look at the 3 starters in that middle triangle. 1. Star Lotulelei was signed for 6 years to a big money contract. He's been terrible for years, so why the big money for him? He's way overpaid. Unlike may other observers, I think Beane's FA acquisitions have been a mixed bag. 2. Ed Oliver was a 1st round pick. He may turn out OK, but right now he's a serious liability and it's not like his position is all that difficult to play for a rookie. Many rookies perform well at DT. 3. Tremaine Edwards. He's still young, but he was a 1st round pick and he sure doesn't look like it. He just can't get off blocks. These are some of the most important acquisitions that Beane has made considering that 6 year deal and 2 of our top 3 picks under Beane aren't performing very well. Quite honestly, I don't know if Josh Allen will ever be anything more than an average pocket passer even with his arm strength. He continues to struggle with his accuracy. We need for those 1st and 2nd round picks to become the elite players we thought we were drafting and early returns are not promising. If Allen, Edmunds, Oliver and Ford don't start playing much, much better, I think we can only be a mediocre team in the long run. We have to do a much better job. I admit that I liked all the pre-draft chatter about Ed Oliver like many of you. He's been invisible all season long. Quite frankly, I think Harrison and Jordan Phillips are the 2 best DT's on our roster right now.
  9. To be accurate, Beane never said we had "all the right pieces already." You just made that up. My problem with Beane is that our 1st and 2nd round picks that he's made haven't performed well. We'll never be very good unless he starts nailing those top picks.
  10. I disagree with you on several points. 1. It's not "3 yards and a cloud of dust." Try "5 yards and a cloud of dust." and there's nothing wrong with that at all as long as you are able to do it consistently.. Personally, I find passing 60% or more to be exceedingly boring. Also, I love to watch an elite defense just throttle an opposing offense. I'm fine with low scoring games. The ultimate for me is when the Bills shut out the other team. 2. I'm a very long way from handing the title of "franchise QB" to Josh Allen. At this point in his career, he has fared no better than any number of QB's that never made it. He is certainly not highly rated by the rest of the sports media because they aren't biased in his favor. I hope his accuracy improves drastically as well as his football IQ, so to speak. He has a chance to get better, but he still has a really long way to go.
  11. LOS struggles for lack of talent. I don't think the coaching is holding them back on either side of the ball. The right side of the OL is below average and the c-LT is average. Our DT's are below average overall and our DE's are average. We're fortunate that our defense has played as well as it has to this point. The insulting nickname "Clapping Jauron" is flat out stupid. Jauron was a terrible HC. McDermott's success has yet to be determined, but he's done way better than I would have expected with the continuing lack of talent.
  12. The problem is the HC. The sooner they recognize that the better off they will be.
  13. I will be very surprised if McD is canned any time soon, but he and Beane won't last too much longer. Allen and Edmunds will never live up to the hype and will hold this team back. We may still make the playoffs, but now that other teams know how to beat us, it's not going to be a walk in the park even with such an easy schedule. We aren't playing down to the level of bad teams. We just aren't good enough to put teams away early. We are the derinition of 'mediocre'. God forbid anyone should EVER criticise anyone in this organization. It's never happened before!
  14. We have an entire roster of mediocre players. We don't need more.
  15. You're overreacting. We're a better team than Washington. The Eagles are a better team than us even with all their injuries. It's not complicated. We don't draft well and now some of are realizing that our new FA's aren't all they were cracked up to be.
  16. Our secondary is OK, but not anywhere close to great. We need more talent at CB. The only DT that's playing very well is JP. Edmunds has been a real disappointment IMO. He just doesn't have good awareness at all. That could get better with experience, but there's no guarantee. He definitely needs a much bigger mean streak too.
  17. Sarcasm. I get it, but LB's seldom take time to develop. Just ask Leonard and Vander Esche. Let's just hope that proverbial light comes on, but it definitely should have by now.
  18. Allen and Edmunds are just good enough to hold us back for a few years because they were 1st rounders that we spent a lot of capital on. This regime will sink with them rather than let them go. Their situation is similar to Tannehill's when he was a fish. He played just well enough to stick around, but kept the team from being a serious threat. It's starting to look like Oliver could fit the same mold. Beane just can't get those 1st round picks right and that spells disaster for a GM. You've got to get those high picks right.
  19. It isn't all on Allen, but we won't win many games is he doesn't learn to wrap up the ball and quit fumbling every time a defender so much as breathes on him. Allen just isn't that good, but I'll get flamed for saying it anyways. Sorry, but it's the truth. Edmunds isn't very good either. We could have traded down and still gotten Lamar Jackson who is playing way, way better than Allen is right now. Add Ford and Oliver to the list of high draft picks that Beane has whiffed on while you're at it.
  20. Our defense is marginally above average and our schedule has been as easy as it gets. That's the truth of it. White is good, but not great. The same goes for Hughes, Poyer and Lorenzo. Hyde is very good, but not elite. The rest of the defense could very easily be replaced with no loss.
  21. That's been true all along. I know the Bills website has been gaslighting the fanbase about Allen and Edmunds because we gave up so much to get them, but the sad truth is that neither of them is very good. Oliver has been a disappointment and I see no upward trend with him. He has been invisible all year. Jordan Phillips is the ONLY DT on this team that is playing well at all. Murphy is awful too. I really think Beane is the biggest problem at OBD. For all the accolades he got in the offseason, the fact remains that he hasn't drafted well at all. His FA signings aren't all that impressive either. This is just 1 loss, but we've had such an easy schedule and have struggled to beat poor teams. The Eagles exposed us as a very beatable team today.
  22. No. We need to draft better, though. It's beginning to look like this may unfortunately be Allen's ceiling. Edmunds looked lost out there today. I'm very disappointed in both of these guys and the longer we stay with them, the longer it will take us to become a good team. Draft a QB and sign a better MLB. We also need a shutdown CB, DE, DT, OT, WR, TE and G. I have to wonder how long it will take for Bills fans to realize that we have to move on from Josh Allen. My confidence in Beane has been shaken, but I was never one of those who thought his FA signings last offseason were all that special. We needed this win to show that we are one of the top 16 teams and instead we were dominated thoroughly by a banged up team with a losing record. I don't think we have the right people doing the scouting and drafting either. Thus begins another 2nd half collapse. We'll win maybe 3 more games due to our schedule, but today's game showed that we've been overrating this team by a lot.
  23. FYI -- You can watch complete NFL games overseas on youtube. You will have to wait a day or 2 for it to be posted, but I watched the last half of our season from my 2nd home in Manila last year and will be doing the same this year as well. I'm not sure about Italy, though. Go to youtube and check.
  24. Exactly. I get really tired of hearing people say "good enough". The ONLY thing that qualifies as good enough is winning the SB. We need a couple game changers and a probowl OT. On defense we need to add a shutdown CB and an elite edge rusher. Add probowl talent at those positions and pray that Josh continues to improve as a passer and look out for us. I don't think we're a serious threat to go all the way, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
