  1. RT, RG, WLB, outside CB opposite White, slot CB and we need 1 of our TE's to step up and play like a starter. A LT upgrade would allow Dawkins to move inside. A RT upgrade would allow Ford to move inside. P and PK are also a concern. Of course, we need Josh Allen to take an even bigger step this year than he did last year if we're ever going to get deep into the playoffs let alone hoist the Lombardi Trophy. He needs to raise his passing efficiency by a good 10 points or hopefully 20. I keep seeing the words "good enough" when discussing our position strength. We need to start thinking beyond that. Why Beane hasn't gotten serious about addressing our OL this offseason is beyond me. He had plenty of cap space to do it. Spain and Dawkins are both pretty average. Morse is slightly above average. Feliciano is slightly below average and Ford is a turnstile on the outside. Williams suffered a terrible knee injury and played very poorly last year, so I don't know if he'll ever be any good again. One other concern is for Singletary's and Allen's fumbling. They need to get that under control.
  2. I could see us drafting a pair of OT's next spring if Dawkins insists on being overpaid. RT and WLB are our 2 weakest positions. CB and TE are major concerns as well.
  3. Kicker trivia: Pete Gogolak and his brother Charley were the first soccer style PK'ers in pro football. John Leypoldt was not your usual PK. He made a LOT of tackles on his KO's, but I can't find that stat anywhere. Scott Norwood was cheered even after "wide right" but Booth Lustig (the 20 year old kicker with the 60 year old face) got beat up by irate Bills fans on Delaware Avenue after missing a FG in the 1966 AFL Championship game that would have sent the Bills to SB 1.
  4. Maybe expand the Practice Squads to allow teams to keep and protect some rookies?
  5. Bicuit, Kyle and Fred are my top 3 choices. If Cookie isn't there, he most certainly should be. Cookie held the record for most rushing yards in a game (248) until OJ broke it. He was underappreciated.
  6. This could go 1 of 2 ways, I think. You either assume rookies will be upgrades to the roster or you err on the side of caution and stick with your veterans. I think teams in 'win now' mode might be more cautious and rebuilding teams will go with their rookies. In any case, the roster cut down process will possibly be the most interesting in a long while.
  7. I thought Taco Charlton was starting to pick up his game. Guess not, unless there is some other reason they let him go. He might be a solid backup for Epinesa if they release Trent Murphy to clear cap space, but we still have close to $20 mill. Is Charlton a good fit? It certainly looks like we aren't spending up to the cap unless Beane signs someone else that gets released. Oops. Never mind. He's a Chief already. That didn't take long.
  8. We'd be a better team right now with Dalton at QB, but it's not happening.
  9. Both Tannehill and Cam are better QB's so why would they agree to play backup to Allen? Tannehill is, in turn, a better QB than Cam at this point in their careers.
  10. OT, FB and any good ST guys might have a shot. Punter competition may be coming. I don't think any punters were drafted.
  11. I'll be keeping an eye on Trey Adams. If healthy, he could stick. I suppose Reggie Gilliam has a shot too.
  12. 8-8 plus the improvement we get from Josh Allen, if any. He's the key. I'm also hoping we get better play from our CB's behind TW.
  13. After the top 3 WR's, there's a big dropoff, so good move. I still wish they'd do more to upgrade the right side of the OL though. Hopefully one of those guys will be a solid #4. I likr McKenzie for his speed and versatility and Roberts as well. I can see us carrying 6 WR's on the roster and a rookie WR on the PS.
  14. Just saw this on NFL Network. Flucker would be a nice uqgrade at RG. I don't think we need Britt, but I'd love to see Fluckere in Bills blue for 2020. Thoughts?
  15. Miami has had a solid offseason and they are on the rise. I think their coaching is very good and they could be overachievers. People are underestimating Bellichik, but they need a QB. I think the Pats will just wait a year rather than sign an average QB. I think Beckton will be great for the Jets, but Darnold had better step it up this year. I also don't know that we are better than the Steelers or Titans right now. Josh Allen is our ceiling. We sink or swim depending on whether or not he plays well. He played a little better in 2019, but needs to show at least twice the improvement this year to finish 10-6 again with our schedule.
  16. I just watched a PFF podcast draft review. The Bills got all of 5 seconds in a 1 hr 40 min discussion. Basically it was "nothing flashy, but they got good guys that can play."
  17. At this point in the draft it is highly unlikely that you'll find 1 guy that is measurably better than all the remaining players. In that instance you just take the guy in that top remaining group that best fills a need.
  18. We should have signed this guy. I agree OP.
  19. While OBD snoozes. Why do they refuse to fix our OL? They made a good start last year, except for Ford, and now they've just given up. Sad.
  20. Best pick so far. I don't know if he'll be good, but until we find a franchise QB we have to keep looking. I'm relieved to know that OBD understands this.
  21. Almost got it. Use that other pick for an OT.
  22. An elite OT. I know there probably isn't one still out there unless we just get stupid lucky. The right side of our OL is weak and Ford is a freakin' turnstile at RT. He needs to move inside if he's ever going to be any good. Everybody keeps talking about how they want us to score more points. Granted, the OL was much better in '19 than it was in '18, but we still have a lot of room for improvement. Our OL is very mediocre overall. We don't have any probowl worthy OL. Dominating in the trenches would raise the performance level of the offense considerably. People talk endlessly about skill position players and their sexy stats, but they only talk about the OL when they are historically bad. Running an offense with good receivers and backs and a mediocre OL is like racing a Ferrari with an underpowered engine. It looks great, but never seems to go as fast as you need it to. There's only 1 goal -- Win the SB. Mediocrity doesn't cut it any more.
  23. Shouldn't we wait until at least 1 or 2 of his 1st and 2nd round picks lives up to their draft status? Also, he has apparently given up on putting a good OL together despite the fact that he had more cap space than 27 other teams. That said, I think Oliver still has a shot at greatness and maybe Edmunds might turn out OK. I do think a lot of people overrate him, though.
  24. He should be a decent backup RB. Too bad we have done nothing to bolster the blocking.
