  1. Addison got way overpaid imo. If Phillips doesn't start at DT we're in trouble because neither FA DT acquisition is starter quality. Also, Oliver's rookie year was less than spectacular. I'm hoping he makes huge strides this year or we could be pretty soft against the inside run, especially with Edmunds' missed tackles.
  2. This seems like the right time to discuss starting lineups. I'll just list names. DL: Murphy, Oliver, Phillips, Hughes LB: Edmunds, Milano, Klein CB: White, Wallace, T Johnson (Slot) S: Hyde, Poyer QB: Allen RB: Singletary FB: Gilliam WR: Diggs, Brown, Beasley (Slot) TE: Knox OL: Dawkins, Spain, Morse, Winters, Ford (Not at sure about RG and RT though. Depends on D Williams knee.) KR/PR: Roberts (assuming he is resigned) K: Bass P: Bojorquez Not many surprises, but I'm guessing some may question Murphy, Winters or Wallace. I think this is who we'll see week 1.
  3. Great news! Let's hope the new Norman is the old Norman too.
  4. Are we going to a spread offense? That seems strange. It means lots of short passes and Josh Allen was ranked 37th in short area accuracy last year. We should be taking advantage of his running ability more IMO. He excels at that so let him do more of it.
  5. Frankly, I'll be disappointed if Lee Smith is cut. I know others don't like him, but they are mistaken. He is as good as any TE in the NFL at blocking. I mean, if we aren't going to run the ball, then let him go. Otherwise, he can be useful. Would you really rather keep Croom active after 3 years of nothing?
  6. Yup. They had lots to spend and spent it on (now overpaid) career backups. Everyone is swooning over guys like Addison and Jefferson. Then again, we have a 'Josh Allen MVP thread, so why not? Diggs was the only impact player added this offseason other than rookies. I just hope Davis Moss and Epinesa pan out.
  7. Knox has potential, but a handful of splash plays don't make him great. He needs consistency. As of now, he is not even average due to drops mostly. I think he will improve, but how quickly? Ertz would be a huge addition, but that also assumes that Allen makes enormous strides as a passer or he won't be able to take full advantage of his receivers.
  8. I don't believe we ever saw what Marcel was really capable of. I just don't think he has that burning desire to be the best like Cal Ripken or Peyton Manning. If he did, he could have been a Defensive MVP more than once. He's going to look back in 30 years and regret that he didn't give it everything he had.
  9. The same Tyrod Taylor that went to a probowl? I hope they start the rookie against us. Granted he is just average, but it could be much worse. I don't get all the hate.
  10. The truth is that there is so much riding on Josh Allen's shoulders. If he turns out to be as good as most Bills fans think he already is, we'll win 12 games. If his improvement from year 2 to year 3 only mirrors the progress he made from year 1 to year 2 which has been greatly exaggerated, 7-9 is very likely. Our OL and TE's could be better, but we are set up very well at WR and RB.
  11. He'll be headed for a team that will start him. Also, just how much longer can Marrone keep his job while making a joke of this franchise?
  12. What was his catch% last year when he was targeted? I forget the number, but remember being shocked at how bad it was.
  13. The schedule is a lot tougher and we don't have one of the better passers in the NFL. We didn't add any game changers in FA. The D may perform above their talent level again, but I can't see any more than 9 wins.
  14. Nothing but best wishes for Fitz. I've lost my own mom too. I'm guessing she wasn't that old either. Tough break.
  15. How about adding someone to replace Matt Barkley? Then who does he replace? I just don't see it unless Epenesa is playing terribly and even then.
  16. I'd wager they wanted to give him a better chance to catch on with another team, but I can't say for sure. Treating players right even when you have to let them go pays unseen dividends. What goes around comes around.
  17. I can't imagine this suspension isn't causing some bad blood. I have my doubts about seeing him back with the Bills. He may choose to move on. Then again, that media group at OBD is devoid of talent without him. Who else do they have besides Steve Tasker that's worth listening to? No one.
  18. Better not watch this one champ. Unlike when yous was wiping your feet and beat our depth guys, we're going to let the starters play this time.
  19. Well, Josh Allen had the 24th highest Passing Efficiency Rating (100+ attempts) in the NFL last year, just behind Fitz and most posters think he's great. So I guess 23rd must qualify as elite.
  20. Once a Bill, always a Bill. Best of luck going forward Stephen. We'll always remember sharing in your NFL record 13 straight FG's from 50+. Chin up. That record will stand for a while so enjoy it.
  21. They have no one left in their media group that's worth a damn. I don't know their policies, but perhaps they aren't very well thought out.
  22. If Frazier and McDermott can't fix him, he's 'unfixable'.
  23. I don't see Davis displacing any of the top 3 WR's so his snaps will be limited. That's not to say he won't be good or even great, but he'll probably have to wait for his chance.
