  1. Kinda disappointed Epenesa isn't active, though. Not a good sign, but it's just the 1st game so not a barn burner.
  2. Really happy for 2 reasons. 1. Ford moved inside where he will be much better. 2. Williams apparently has regained a lot of his mobility in that injured knee if he is playing on the outside.
  3. They need to make him carry a football around all week without having it stolen. Reinforce the point. If he would just put 2 hands on the ball it would help so much. I'm sure he'd have some fumbles just as Lamar Jackson does, but at least he can limit to 4 per season or something like that. He had 12 last year.
  4. Allen had the 1st down. He just can't hang onto the ball. That's a coaching issue IMO.
  5. Already Josh? Looks like he's going to be a league leader in fumbles again. At least he's off to a fast start there. *sigh* Mr. Daboll, could you PLEASE ta;l to your boy about wrapping the ball up when he runs with it?
  6. AFCE matchups or any other game that affects the Bills in the standings. In other words, it's all about the Bills.
  7. I disagree on Poyer. He's solid and that's how most people see him. I would have to start the overrated list with 1. Edmunds and 2. Allen. I do think Edmunds has the tools to continue improving though. John Brown is solid too, but he's nowhere near Diggs. Other than that, I agree. I'd just add Dawkins and Spain as slightly underrated.
  8. Not good, but he'll get it together, I hope. We tend to forget these are just kids.
  9. I seriously doubt we'll have a top 10 offense with this OL and Allen, but I really hope they prove me wrong. We were what? 26th in total offense last year? We added 1 new starter, albeit the best player on our offense. I see us finishing 2020 ranked around 14-20. Just my guess. I want to see Allen improve by twice as much as he did from year 1 to year 2. That would make me ecstatic.
  10. I share your concern for our run defense, but Allen has proven nothing yet. Why does everyone give him a free pass?
  11. Nothing is going to make up for passing on Mahomes. He's going to win a bunch of SB's while Bills fans and Josh Allen watch from home. Deal with it. Even considering White's success, this draft has to be considered a massive failure in light of Whaley's poor judgement. Doug set this franchise back a generation. Just give it a year or 2. The Bills QB carousel will be back underway soon enough. I bet Andy Reid is still laughing about cashing in on our blunder.
  12. I think Butler is a serious liability. I expect other teams to exploit that weakness. Oliver has yet to prove himself and fans overrate Edmunds. I see a big day for Bell running the ball.
  13. Obviously if there was a better punter available they would have signed him. It requires no special talent to recognize a good punter.
  14. The Jets were #1 in run defense last year. Mosley won't be there, but the rest of the Jets D will be and their pass D is better than most. People expecting the Bills O to run it up will be coming to terms with reality. We will continue to struggle on O in 2020. I expect this game to go right down to the wire.
  15. The only people that I've heard suggesting that Moss will start are posting it on this forum, but I don't read national sports writers much.
  16. Big game by Le'Veon Bell and Jets defense keeps it close. 20-17 Bills.
  17. OP, both you and SI are correct. I also need to see Allen making quick and correct decisions and deliver well placed throws. His progress in 2019 was ok, but not nearly enough. He needs several more 'steps' of the same magnitude before I will be convinced. Make no mistake. If we had a QB the caliber of Mahomes, we'd go 19-0. PS We don't need to restrict threads that begin with statements critical of Allen. If you don't like it, go ahead and start another Allen is an MVP thread. Besides, if you read the quote from SI, it's very balanced.
  18. I am no less invested in the Bills than I ever have been. Why should I be? If the players want to act out for justice, I will support them in that as well. Go Bills!
  19. OP, you're 100% accurate. We have career backups and a guy that had a disappointing rookie year at DT. I do think Oliver can be good if not great and I also think Phillips will be a pleasant surprise, but these are just guesses at this point. We could be very soft against the run if Oliver and Phillips don't live up to my expectations and like the age old wisdom instructs, if you can just keep handing the ball off and they can't stop you, why risk incompletions and interceptions? Just keep handing it off. It's the safest way to travel. We all know that the CB2 and Slot CB spots are manned by average players. It would be great to add a couple more CB's that are well above average -- maybe even another lockdown CB on the outside. At DE, Murphy is better than many posters seem to think he is, but pass rush is not his forte and he is also pretty average. Hughes is also better than many posters think, but he's not getting any younger and he's above average, but not probowl good. Here's hoping Epinesa is a beast.
