  1. This is why I like the insistence that we only sign guys with a lot of heart. McDermott has these guys ready to run through walls for him. I know we need to get better at making adjustments and let's focus more on Frazier in this regard.
  2. I REALLY hope at least 1 of them can play Sunday. Highbee is a good TE and Gesicki tore us up. This is key for us. I don't think Edmunds or Milano are probowlers, but the drop off behind them is a real problem.
  3. I know what you mean, OP. I am amazed at the difference in JA this season, but our toughest games are coming and I honestly don't know what to expect. I have to go in and boost the AWR, Play Recognition and Toughness (+5) on every defensive player to get our D to play like they do in real life. After the Miami game I boosted Allen by 10 points in AWR, SAC, MAC and DAC. I also boosted his pocket awareness from paranoid to ideal. I boosted D Williams and D Dawkins by 3 points each. I want a HC Mode so I can call plays (or let the computer do it), make substitutions and manage the clock for a full 60 minute game. I want a realistic simulation, not bells and whistles. They NEVER fix so many shortcomings though.
  4. Not all bad, but after addressing CB and TE next year, I really want to see us continue working to strengthen both lines. Many games can be won in the trenches.
  5. 1. I'm excited for Williams! I hope he's 100%. 2. I'm still concerned about Ford, but he's still young. 3. I feel sorry for anyone that has to block Aaron Donald. 4. I'd still like to add talent on the OL after this season.
  6. I liked Teller. I don't know why so many people were so hard on him. I wish he'd come back.
  7. His progress from year 2 to year 3 is far greater than his progress to year 2. Let's see how he does against tougher competition.
  8. Please refrain from making personal insults. Grow up.
  9. I'm not sure about that because there were no holes for Motor or Moss, but if he is anywhere near back to form, that's HUGE for us. I didn't isolate on him at all in gamepass, but he gives me hope and may save Ford's career.
  10. QB - B (More great plays than terrible plays. Allen plays like a roller coaster. MUST clean up all those fumbles!) WR - A (This unit won the game for us, IMO.) RB - C+ (Few good runs, but there were no holes. Both Motor and Moss contributed in the passing game, though) OL - D+ (Pass protex was OK early on, but run blocking was horrendous all day.) TE - B (Knox's blocking left much to be desired, but he made a couple outstanding plays in the passing game.) DL - C+ (DE's played well. DT's not so much) LB - B (Milano played well until he got hurt. Edmunds missed tackle cost us a TD. Backups filled in admirably) CB - B+ (White was invisible because he was not tested. Isn't that what you want? Johnson was OK as was Wallace other than the interference) S - A Poyer's FF was big. Hyde was OK, but showed real toughness playing hurt. PK - F (Better days ahead, I hope) P - C (Not much to go on.) Overall, I hope we don't have to pass so much in all of our games. Josh had a 300 yard game and that was great, but he probably wouldn't have if the OL had opened a few holes for the ground game. Defense played overall. The Jets did get a late TD with our LB corps decimated, but still solid overall. Penalties weren't too big of a factor for us except the interference.
  11. Roberts deserved a game ball. His returns helped a lot and he took some really big hits and bounced right back.
  12. It's one thing to come out of a game with a few bumps and bruises, but when you're looking at several guys getting banged up in the same position group, that is a real concern. I really hope at least 1 of our starting LB's can make it back next week. I was a little disappointed with Edmunds anyways. He missed another tackle he definitely should have made and Crowder turned it into a 69 yard TD. I just don't see how a guy with those long arms and athletic ability can miss as much as he does.
  13. I am officially 'concerned' about Ed Oliver. I haven't given up on him, but all we got out of him was an assisted tackle. That's it. Zimmer played better. Hughes played better. Trent Murphy probably had the best game of any of our DL. Harrison Phillips did not play well either, though I wonder if he's 100%. Edmunds and Milano both dinged. It's not time to hit the panic button, but Oliver needs to start playing at a much higher level or he's going to make me miss Lotulelei.
  14. Allen was far from perfect, but he played pretty well overall. I wonder why everyone gets so emo when PFF tells the truth about him. I see the folks that are whining about it forgot to mention the next sentence which reads "While Allen showed numerous signs to be encouraged about, the same can’t be said for Darnold."
  15. C+ No excuses for a few ugly misses and he continues to hold the ball when he takes off as if ball security was an afterthought. I don't blame him so much for the dropped ball when he was upside-down, but the 1st one was an obvious inattention to detail. He does this far too often and part of the blame has to go to the coaches. There's no excuse for not wrapping the ball up when he runs. None at all. Getting stripped on a sack is another matter, but neither of those fumbles can be excused.
  16. Gotta clean up the fumbles Josh! Great game, but still gotta clean that up.
  17. I still remember a 90's game where we beat the Browns so bad, their HC quit the next day. Sam Ruttigliano, if I remember correctly.
  18. The guys on the sideline don't make as much noise as tens of thousands of fans, but they're trying.
  19. Micah is back in! Murphy gets the 1st sack of the year. Whoda thunk it?
  20. I hear ya, but the Jets do a great job against the run. If Allen stays on fire, I say just run once in a while to keep them honest.
  21. Hyde walking now. Noncontact injury. That gives me hope. It should be the Jets Punter with the sore knee, right?
