  1. I'm losing faith in Leslie Frazier. Just when our O catches fire, our D is slipping. Let's hope they can pick it up soon because the schedule is about to get a lot tougher.
  2. Aaron Donald is in a class all by himself. What I wouldn't give to have him on our team.
  3. Here's my way too early guess. Bills - 12 Patriots - 10 Dolphins - 8 Jets - 4 I know some are thinking that's too many for Miami, but they are better than advertised. They are a very well coached team and their young talent will get better as the season goes on. Also, bringing in Chan as OC was a great move. He wasn't a good HC, but as an OC, he's excellent. I think BUF-MIA-NE will keep this division very competitive in years to come.
  4. I do agree that Wilson has the inside track right now, but after 17 years with no playoff appearances and even more with no playoff wins, the national media simply refuses to acknowledge this team is legit. They are afraid to go out on a limb if you could even call it that any more. I've been Josh's biggest critic for the last 2 years and he has won me over this season. He still has some things to work out like his inexcusable fumbleitis, but if he can clean that up, he could well be an MVP at the rate he's going.
  5. Let's bring in Dr. Jekyll to replace him.
  6. Let McDermott call the plays for the D and we will be fine. Otherwise, it will be a seesaw battle. How many consecutive games can Josh Allen put the team on his shoulders and pull out a win in the last moments?
  7. I believe Frazier's play calling is too predictable. Someone has picked up on it. Against Miami, having no starters at LB really hurt and Wallace got exposed. Credit Chan for that one. They played OK against the Jets, despite a 3rd quarter lull. Yesterday was a different story. Frazier had no answers in the 2nd half and was unable to adjust to what the Rams were doing.
  8. Good for him. I hope he plays well. Good luck Hausch-Money.
  9. I agree that it was a bad call, but so was the Kroft catch that was ruled an interception, so it evens out.
  10. We really didn't do enough to address the CB position or improve the pass rush which is still a problem. On top of that, I suspect that offenses are finding it easier to predict Frazier's play calling and take advantage of it. I have no proof of this, but once again, I refer to that game against the Chargers 2 years ago when McDermott took over the play calling at halftime and the difference was like night and day. Remember?
  11. I'm not at all worried about Hyde. Let McDermott start calling the plays for the defense and there will be sudden and drastic improvement.
  12. I wish Josh would spend some time training with Peyton. No QB was ever better prepared to play a game as Peyton was.
  13. I think our offense gets even better. Bills 40, Traitors 24.
  14. Interesting comment on the ref "squaring it up." I sometimes wonder about that too. It's not so easy to get it right 100% of the time and it's only natural that your emotions can affect your judgement.
  15. I have to disagree. I think CB is a crucial position as well as 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB.
  16. 3 most pleasant surprises 1. The scale of Josh Allen's improvement -- I'm not surprised that he has taken another step in his progress because he hasn't. He's taken 3 steps. Fix that fumbling problem and he's elite. 2. Darryl Williams -- I thought he'd never play at this level again after that awful knee injury. Thanks Panthers. 3. Team character -- Whatever McDermott is doing to build morale, it's off the charts. These guys never quit. 3 biggest disappointments 1. We're giving up too many points. That's pretty obvious, but I think that if this continues, we may see McDermott take over the playcalling for the D. As a defense first old schooler, this is hard to take. 2. Injuries -- We've finally started putting it all together. I hope we can stay healthy from here on out. 3. There is no number 3. I was going to mention Bass, but he seems to be settling in now.
  17. Kroft is an average TE. He just played his best game. It's Knox who should concern us.
  18. We're already #6 I don't see us going up after that game.
  19. I don't know how his shoulder affected him today, but run defense and tackling have always been a problem for him. He needs to play angry and make RB's fear him. I still remember Butkus saying his most fervent wish was to hit a guy so hard that his head would come off and roll down the field. Now there was a LB that understood how to intimidate an opponent.
  20. I've doubted Josh all along, but not any more. I have never seen a QB with so many faults turn it around like he has this season. I don't blame him so much for that fumble, but like reigning the velocity of his throws, he must start wrapping up the ball even if it means a few less dramatic scrambles. Turnovers are killers and this is his last big hurdle to overcome. He simply must learn to put both hands on the ball and go down when he's in heavy traffic. Of course there will be some exceptions when a game is on the line. He also needs to limit the number of hits he's taking. Now that the light has come on for him, we can ill afford to lose him to injury.
  21. I doubt it will happen and his best days are behind him, but he's still effective and better than any other DT on our roster right now.
  22. I remember when McDermott took over the playcalling from Frazier at halftime in a game against the Chargers and they played so much better. Maybe he should consider taking over the defensive playcalling again or trade off back and forth with Frazier to confuse the other team. I've long believed that playcalling is a very underappreciated talent.
