The colts got nothing at DE and Buckner. Keep Williams inside but be ready to switch if need be.

Bills' Tyler Bass ranks as NFL's best kicker heading into Week 11

We need to send him to the probowl so go vote for him now! That's an order! *wags finger* Or else! -

I'm 100% in agreement with Virgil. He should finish his career as a Bill. His toughness and ability are exemplary.

Spencer Brown placed on Covid List [Edit: Thurs 11/18]
GreggTX replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
The thought of a Ford-Buckne or Boettger-Buckner matchup is truly cringe worthy. I hope Josh doesn't get killed. I'm equally worried about stopping their ground game. As far as the vaccine goes, you can still get covid and spread it, but there are so many conflicting opinions on its efficacy and they mostly seem based on politics rather than science, so it's hard to know who to believe. -
Our defense is good, but look at the QB's we've faced: Roethlesberger, Tua, Heinike, Mills, Mahomes, Tannehill, Tua, Lawrence and White. Not a very impressive list other than Mahomes. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd rate them an 8. Give us a Vita Vea and a TJ Watt clone and a probowl worthy CB 2 and we're legendary. The last time this team had a legit 'legendary' defense was in 1965.

I thought they played well against a pretty good DL. Q Williams is borderline elite and their DE's are solid, but not spectacular. Still, I do think that if we're going to focus on any specific area after the season and get the best returns, I'd go for OL upgrades and CB. If Star is gone, the 1-Tech role will demand attention. TE depth is also an issue. A RB upgrade would be nice too. I doubt we could upgrade all of those areas, but OL would be my top priority for overall effectiveness. It would really help Allen and would improve consistency.

Bobby Johnson: The Source of O-Line Issues (in my opinion)
GreggTX replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I definitely agree about Spain and Teller, but you can't dismiss lack of talent as an issue. As I've said for a long time, OL needs to be the #1 priority this offseason. I also agree on Feliciano and Williams -- They are both struggling. Ford, Bates and Boettger are all really bad. -
Was this the worst upset loss in team history?
GreggTX replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Worst loss in 61 years? I'm pretty sure it doesn't even come close. -
Let's be honest. Injuries to Brown and Feliciano don't help, but neither of them are very good. Feliciano is average on a good day. Brown looks promising, but he's not ready yet. Boettger is a career backup. Morse and Dawkins are OK, but not great. Then there's Cody Ford. I don't hate him, but let's be honest . He's just not NFL material. In fact, I'd say he's a very serious liability. So I ask, will he still be on our roster come week 17? Should he be?

Breaking News: Odell Beckham is set to be released
GreggTX replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall
NFL.com says the Bills are 1 of 6 great fits, but Gabe Davis can't even get on the field. That's not a knock on OBJ. I just think that money would be better spent on the OL, CB or TE depth or even on the DL. I wouldn't hate it though. -
How do you deep down, really feel about this defense?
GreggTX replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the young DL become great (2 elite pass rushers) and we get a sizable upgrade at CB2 THEN they are elite. The downside is that we'd probably not be able to keep them all. -
Tyler Bass named AFC ST Player of the Month
GreggTX replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great news. He's come a long way since those first 2 games. Kickers may not get much attention, but considering how many points they score, they're pretty important. -
Bills Classless Again [Edit: FinHeaven message board]
GreggTX replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
We were only ahead by 9 with 1:07 to play. Certainly that's very difficult to overcome, but it was hardly 'classless' to add that insurance. Some of them got it though. Like I always said when people whined about Brady. He was and still is great. If you don't like it, go out and beat him or just quit whining. We'll get another chance soon enough. -
If we trade for a RB, who would you want?
GreggTX replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
So true. Most of Beane's day 1 and 2 picks have at least turned out to be above average, but I think Ford's days in Buffalo are numbered. I expect a real focus on the OL this coming offseason even if we take a CB in round 1. I expected an OL in round 2 in this last draft, but I'm not disappointed with Basham. -

One that can play G. -
Overall I'm disappointed. He's not bad, but not what I was hoping for.

Oklahoma City and Portland? I can't believe LA has 2 teams. People there and elsewhere in CA don't support NFL teams well at all. Bills fans just blow them away during good years or bad. I lived in Southern California for many years and I know this from first hand experience. The only time I saw any real emotional attachment was when the Bills crushed the LA Raiders 51-3 in the playoffs. I was a real popular guy at work the next day as you can imagine. As soon as I walked in the building, I saw a sign which read "51-3 not even a game!"

Several of our defensive players were named to the All-AFL team. Best defense ever to play in the AFL.

Bills TE Dawson Knox out a few weeks following surgery on broken hand
GreggTX replied to muppy's topic in The Stadium Wall
And just when he was coming into his own. A recent article at NFL.com rated him the 3rd best TE in the league thus far in 2021. Terrible timing!
