  1. If the OL had not played like cheerleaders, we would have won. Having all 3 all pro candidates in our secondary sidelined by injury is also taking a big toll. Milano sat too. The secondary will be fine when everyone is healthy again. The OL is our achilles heel and a lot of opposing DC's are going to be exploiting that in the 2nd half of the season. The DL didn't play as well as they could have, but they are still solid. It wasn't their best game, but they still weren't as awful as the OL. If Beane isn't all in on upgrading the right side of that OL for '23, it will be a lost opportunity. Brown's bad ankle is no excuse either because he's pretty bad too. Yes Josh could have played much, much better, but he had pressure on him nearly every time he dropped back. I can't overstate how poorly our OL played.
  2. Our OL is so bad today. This has to be our top priority in 2023. Josh is playing poorly, but the OL isn't helping at all.
  3. Gilliam has become a top 5 FB. I know that's a low bar, but it still helps.
  4. Well Pat Mcafee says I'll love him. I hope so. I think they are not impressed with J Cook. I'll trust Beane on this.
  5. Overall average RB with very good speed. Not sure why we need a J Cook clone, though.
  6. He's a below average box S with little pass defending skill. I suspect we'll only see him in run situations.
  7. If they want to get pass happy, that's ok with me.
  8. No it isn't. Fans are often unrealistic. He's not going to sell out the future to suit your fantasies.
  9. No we don't. We need OL help. That's our Achilles heel. A veteran S if Poyer is going to miss time. We don't need anyone to takes snaps from Davis. The OP suggests otherwise while ignoring the fact that he missed time and wasn't 100% for much of the season so far. Allen wasn't at his best, but he was harrassed by the pass rush all night.
  10. The Meathead Award goes to fans who hate on players for making mistakes while trying their best.
  11. But they're good, neighborly alchoholics and they share. What goes around, comes around. It's not automatic, but it improves the odds when you treat others right.
  12. Derek Carr is going to be traded this offsdason. Wow the Raiders are AWFUL!!! Just goes to show you that you have to build through the draft or you get the 'dream team' that can't get out of their own way. 24-0 loss to the Aints? I know NO has talent, but they have no QB. Will Nathaniel Hackett save his job? I don't think he will. Bad hire IMO. I thought he was terrible here too and Marrone even fired him in JAX.
  13. Thanks for reminding us that Kareem Hunt is a name and the title of this thread.
  14. Singletary and the entire defense. This game features 2 very good defenses and Singletary's success will set up enough game changing plays to tilt the final score in our favor. GB will play with determination, but the Bills will show that they are made of sterner stuff. This Bills team has heart.
  15. No one. Don't you folks have anything better to do?
  16. Maybe OL help or depth at TE and RB. Maybe a veteran S on a 1 year deal? I'd say the OL is still our biggest weakness. I don't see OBJ coming here unless there is an injury and he is the replacement. Just don't give up any serious draft capital at this point.
  17. According to medicalnewstoday.com, roughly half of people will get cancer in their lifetime. Before the industrial revolution, that rate was more like 1 in 16. Draw your own conclusions. In any case, it's a tragedy. I've known far too many people who've died from cancer. I hope to hear soon that Sam is on the mend. Once a Bill, always a Bill.
  18. I don't think Saffold is 100%, but clearly RT is our biggest problem on offense and Bates' spot could use an upgrade too. I'm afraid there won't be anyone available at G or RT anyway and I doubt Beane is going to get desperate and make a bad deal.
  19. Stick a fork in Brady. Age has finally caught up with him, but what an incredible run. I never hated him either. He deserves every accolade he's received. I don't mind that he gave it one last try either. He wants to set the bar ever higher and I admire that even if it doesn't work out. The Bucs are still tied for 1st in their division at 3-4. One more playoff appearance for the record book maybe? That would be his 48th playoff game and the 20th time he's taken his team to the playoffs. He really is the GOAT.
  20. Sad to hear it, but at least he had some great success and made some money for his future.
  21. We need an upgrade for Moss. Singletary is playing very well. If we're so concerned about the run game, we should be trading for upgrades on the OL, not keeping Singletary on the bench.
  22. I don't care if we don't sign McCaffrey or OBJ. I want to keep Poyer and get help for our below average OL. I love Spencer Brown's innate ability, but watching him attempt to block is a nightmare. Bates is a backup and for whatever reason, Saffold has been underperforming -- lingering affects from his car accident? This is clearly our biggest area of concern, if not our only area of concern. OBJ would be a nice add, but not if it keeps Davis or Shakir on the bench. McCaffrey would be a nice add, but not as nice as a probowl caliber RT or even RG. Singletary is playing very well and no one notices. Cook will be fine if not great as long as he focuses on ball security. Upgrade the OL and you upgrade the skill positions. Big names sell tickets. McCaffrey and OBJ have earned their reputations, but we don't want other teams doing to us what Miller and Rousseau are doing to them. That takes the ball out of the hands of our very talented weapons a few times per game. Josh is good under pressure, but he's unstoppable with a clean pocket. So let's upgrade the whole offense.
  23. Quessenberry is an upgrade anyway.
  24. I knew he was elite, but he's been up against the best LT's in the NFL so far. Lewan & O. Brown are above average, but Armstead and Staley are also elite. Not to mention Bahktiari is up next and another meeting with Armstead is coming. Trent Brown is very good and he'll face Von twice. Throw in a couple tilts with Taylor Decker & Duane Brown and that's pretty much the best lineup of LT's you can put together minus Trent Williams. To have 6 sacks at this point is crazy. If Von's not still the best playmaker at the Edge position, he's on a really short list.
  25. Here's a little advice from an "ol' timer". Don't try to match wits with people that are smarter than you.
