NFL TV Schedule and Maps: Week 4, 2022
GreggTX replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yay! I had to watch the fins game in a sports bar on a small tv with no sound. -
Is there a point to this thread?

All-22 Grades for Bills/Dolphins (The Athletic)
GreggTX replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am concerned about Spencer Brown. He's been so bad! They said he was a project, but right now he is a huge liability. He has size and agility with way more foot speed than a man his size should have, but there's just one problem -- He can't block. Ogbah just ate his lunch. On his first sack allowed, he just stood there like a statue. They need to start Quessenberry until Brown is ready. -
I think Greg Rousseau becomes an elite pass rusher in 2022
GreggTX replied to streetkings01's topic in The Stadium Wall
For what it's worth, the Madden raters have been boosting Rousseau's ratings this season. He's come up to an overall 76 to 80. That's a big jump in just 3 weeks. -
We aren't going to win very easily if these injuries persist. Let's hope we get guys back before it's too late or everyone will blame the Coach.
-
It wasn't the worst officiating ever, but the bias was obvious.
-
This is why he's not a coach.

It makes me laugh how so many people talk like we're the best team ever just 2 weeks into the season. We lose 1 game with 13 guys unavailable including 2 all pro DB's and 5 OL down and now they're ready to fire the coaches LOL. Get a grip folks. We'll be getting guys back before the playoffs. We might have to claw our way back, but we will and I wouldn't want to be the Dolphins if we see them in the playoffs in January if we're healthy because we will take our revenge and embarrass them.

Not the worst signing. Murray is an ok pass protector with quick reactions and he can play at G or T. He's no probowler, but for a dumpster dive guy, I'm pleased.

Who Do The Bills Sign At Cornerback?
GreggTX replied to Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looks like it will be Xavier Rhodes. I'm ok with that. I know Indy released him, but he was OK last year. He's a solid zone defender and a pretty good hitter on outside runs. -
To play as well as they did with so many guys injured was inspiring. I can hardly wait for the rematch with a healthier roster -- especially among starters and that OL.

Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme
GreggTX replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Injuries were our downfall. Stop blaming one of the best HC's in franchise history. The title of this thread is incorrect and this point does not require discussion. His record speaks for itself. -
Stop worrying about the offense. We were down to our 3rd string C and neitheir Van Roten or Mancz could snap the ball correctly. Doyle has never played G outside a few offseason snaps. Brown gave the best revolving door impression I've seen in ages. Wow that guy is bad! I know Quessenberry isn't very good, but he's still measurably better than Brown. We didn't pay enough attention to our OL and I just hope the guys right side can get it together or other teams will take advantage.Having Oliver, Jackson and Hyde unavailable didn't help.

NFL Week #3 - Bills at the Dolphins - 1st half game thread
GreggTX replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Put Quessenberry in now!!! Spencer can not pass protect to save his life! The guy is a revolving door. -
Here are the top 4 safety FA's listed in the current Madden roster file along with their age and overall rating for what it's worth. Keep in mind that players that don't see the field often get lower ratings than they deserve until they get to display their ability more often. All 4 of these guys are listed at SS and might not be the best fit. All other FA safeties are rated 73 or lower. Our highest rated S after 21 and 23 is Johnson who is overall 68. Damar is 66 -- very weak ratings and probably not accurate. Also, I wonder if they would use a typical SS and adjust schemes if that were an option and let Poyer play FS. Or they could just bring in a reliable backup and go with that. Anthony Harris, 30, 80 Landon Collins, 28, 78 Tony Jefferson, 30, 76 Bradley McDougald, 31, 75

That could well be his future as it might better fit his skillset. I'm super excited about his future. I know his measureables aren't that impressive, but the same was true of Don Maynard and he's in the HOF. I know that's a remote possibility, but I'd wager he'll be a better player than Levi Wallace before long.

Micah to IR (out for the year per his agent)
GreggTX replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow does that ever suck! I feel for him. I want this to be our year at last like all of you and losing a player of his ability and character really hurts. I wonder who they might be looking to bring in at S to fill his spot. They might even consider looking for a bonafide starter to be ready to step in after the bye. -
I agree that McCaffrey to Buffalo sounds like a real longshot, but I'd be elated if we didn't have to let too many other good players to afford him. I love CM at a reasonable.
-
Perhaps so. I haven't looked at them much, but I'll be checking them out this week.

I know Josh played great, but Diggs was even better. I also loved what Gilliam did. Too bad the throw wasn't a bit lower! I also have to give Dawkins for the best block when he steamrolled a defender on Cook's big run. On defense, Milano played like an All-Pro. Poyer as well. The entire front 7 really gets the MVP. When you hold #22 to 25 rushing yards without 2 solid DT's dressed, that's as good as it gets. J Phillips and C Benford have been a revelation and now Rousseau is looking great too. Basham is making game changing plays. Folks, I gotta tell you that as much as people laud Allen, Diggs and the rest of that offense, this defense looks as good or better and White returns soon. We are #1 against BOTH the run and pass. We are tied for 1st in interceptions and 1 behind Tampa Bay in sacks with 9. Even just 2 weeks in that's impressive. We'll hopefully be healthier for the playoffs, but right now this team is scary. I don't know how anyone thinks the Chiefs or Bucs are better. That said, I think Miami may be as good as KC and Tampa if Tua keeps it up, but I'm still unsure how good the fish really are. I hope we have a great plan to contain all that speed on their offense.

There should be a 'Steal Of The Draft' award. Benfod's got my vote.

I can't believe Saffold's run blocking grade was so low! He's widely regarded as an elite run blocker. He did get hurt, but I believe he came back. Perhaps it affected his play. Bates and Brown have a lot of work ahead of them, but Brown is a physical freak. I think that's the real reason he's in ahead of DQ. They just want to feed him snaps until the game slows down for him. He isn't very good now, but the potential to be great is there. I'm not sure where Bates' ceiling might be.
