The Ripoff Report: Game Thoughts
nbbillsfan replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just because the rams looked bad last night, does not mean they will be a bad team - it’s a long season, they just won a superbowl with a similar roster, and have an elite coach. if you only watched us play the colts/jags last yr you would think we were trash -
yes, but I think things like this are overblown. It seems big to us, but the coaches watch them do this hundreds of times in practice… they know if he can do it well or not.

Capitol One The Match (Allen Tattoo)
nbbillsfan replied to TheNorwoodStrangler's topic in The Stadium Wall
i know it is silly, but looks like mahomes handled the pressure better than Allen early on.. -
Lol, that was a weird autocorrect

Loved listening to Khalil, seems like a dude that will hit his ceiling via hard work and the right attitude. What remains to be seen is if what that ceiling looks like.

I have no issue whatsoever with the idea of a RB in the 1st (especially late 1st). my hesitation comes from not seeing Breece Hall as a special talent. When I watch film, I don’t see much separation from him and walker, spiller, cook ext.)

Deshaun Watson to Browns - $230 million guaranteed
nbbillsfan replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
It Sucks that there are so many elite, young, qbs in the AFC while so few in the NFC. There are legitimately 7-8 AFC teams who will be competitive for the next decade simply because of their QB (including us, of course.) Getting the elite QB is the hardest part of the equation, and much of our competition has that spot solved. I guess the posting is they are all outside the afc east. The NFC has like 1 or 2 answers at qb for the present and future. If we are in the NFC I think we could cake walk our way to the Superbowl until Josh’s legs fall off. -
Breaking: Von Miller to bills, 6 year , 120 million
nbbillsfan replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Thank you! I guess it is fair to assume he will play the 4th year as the dead cap hit could be close to his salary cap hit? What if he retires? -
Breaking: Von Miller to bills, 6 year , 120 million
nbbillsfan replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m sorry if this has been answered… I see the contrast is essentially 3 yrs $53 million. Chandler jones got 3 yrs $52.5 million. Which contracts structure is more team friendly and hoe does Vons extra years work? -
I am all for Jameson Williams. Glad these other guys are testing well as it may push Jameson down. When I watched Jameson was a difference maker on game days and that's what matters to me.

Derek Carr in line for $40 million per year extension
nbbillsfan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
And yet if you look at the teams who have sustained successes over the last 20 years, it’s all teams with elite QB’s. With a Carr level QB you need everything else to click in order to be competitive. As a fan, I’m not interested in a one hit wonder season. I’d rather bottom out and keep trying to get a QB that gives the team a legitimate chance at playoffs/superbowl Every year. Also Cousins is just as good or better than Carr. -

nbbillsfan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
When it comes to the NFL you either want to have an Elite QB and pay them whatever you have to or no QB at all. Paying the second teir guys like Carr, Baker, Cousins ect 80-90% of elite QB money is a death move. -
Give me Kirk, James Washington or Gallup with Berrios or MVS as backup.

He will be Elite for a long time. Will he have to change/evolve his game as he ages and the athleticism deteriorates? Of course. What gives me immense confidence in his longevity is his work ethic/love of the game. He has already put in so much work to make the necessary changes to be QB1. He is not just some Super-Athlete that is good because of his Athletic talent, he works. I have no doubt that his drive to be great will propel him to make any changes required to be elite.

Ken Dorsey - would he choose OC here or leave to be Daboll's OC?
nbbillsfan replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just can see him leaving unless the bills don’t really want him. The #1 thing an OC would want is a star QB. That’s what gets them the head coaching gig in the future (see daboll). We have one, the giants do not. -
Collinsworth was almost impossible to listen to.
nbbillsfan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am not one to complain about commentating. I don't know that I have ever really had an issue with anyone in the 25 year period I have watched every bills game. Last night was atrocious. From the very first minute of the game Collinsworth seemed committed to putting a chiefs spin on the game. It felt like I was watching the local broadcast of a hockey game. It was bizarre, annoying and unprofessional. -
9/26/21 Bills vs. WTF Postgame Thread
nbbillsfan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The biggest factors in this game to me was: 1. Allen moving in the pocket. Its obvious that they were letting Chase Young speed rush and the plan was to just push him as deep as possible and let Josh step up. I have no idea why Young or the WFT coaches didn't mix it up more and have Young try tow work more inside. 2. The Bills strong defensive play -
Josh Allen is looking a lot more like the 2019 version
nbbillsfan replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This has been a rough start for Allen, Daboll and perhaps the WR's. I have not noticed nearly the amount of separation we consistently saw last year (either as a function of play design and/or receiver's winning their routes). However, Allen has missed on the few open shots he has had. All parties need to step it up Big time.... -

My one concern with the contract was that he only had one elite year. I wouldn’t be worried, except for that we paid up big time for an MVP quality QB, and with his impending cap hit, we need consistent MVP quality play. I hope, and think, he turns it around. His work ethic and love of football gives me confidence. However, if you are not concerned then your delusional. -

michael Thomas vs. the Saints has so much weird and crazy drama, I can’t believe they have kept this relatively “in-house” -

I really think I more athletic, less of a dick Rosen. Ironically, a louder Sam Darnold isn’t a bad one. Who knows though, he could be great.
