Sure, when you include Gore and Zo who are fossils in NFL years. The core of this team is very young though. Allen, Tre White, Edmunds, Milano, Oliver, Wallace, Singletary, Knox, Dawkins, Ford.. I'm sure I missed someone. Those are all starters still on their rookie contracts.

I could be wrong, but I don't expect any serious flashy additions this year unless the price is really good. As I've said before, Beane is on record saying a team is never "one player away", so I don't expect him to make a move that will heavily impact our future drafts. I also doubt Zay's trade value. He has done next to nothing this year and got out performed today by a practice squad callup in his first ever NFL game, which leads me to believe most other teams won't value him very high. As others have said, I think this year is meant to be our adjustment period now that we finally have a team that's built in McBeanes image. Most seem to forget that Allen was supposed to sit at least one full season before starting, so he's still learning on the fly. Today was his 16th start, so he basically has one season experience and one real offseason of development (his rookie year doesn't really count as he mostly played 3rd string in TC/preseason). I think we make the playoffs this year, and lose to one of the powerhouses in NE and KC. Another year of solid drafting from BB, re-signing the guys that they want to stick around, and putting our cap space to use in free agency, and I think we'll be ready to compete for the AFC title in 2020.

It wasn't much. Daboll just tapped his head as if to say "use your head" after an interception. I don't think anyone besides OP had any issues with it, I doubt any NFL player has made it this far without having seen and heard much worse.

That's what I was wondering. The precedent they just set, is that as soon as a flag gets thrown on the opposing team the players enter the thunderdome and all bets are off. Who cares if you take a vicious h2h shot on a ball carrier or blown out someone's ACL with a late hit, as long as there was another penalty it will just offset. Its a bad look when the league is preaching player safety as a priority, but weighs a weak holding call the same as potentially killing/crippling a player with a cheap shot.

My guess is they will try to prevent Allen from scrambling, and emphasize keeping him from bootlegging out to the right. That's where he really punishes defenses, when they think they got him pinned and he slings a dime for a gain on a play that had no business gaining anything. If they double up Brown, and contain Allen to the pocket, were going to count on Beasley, Zay, Knox and Sweeney to get open quickly so Allen doesn't have to buy time by running out of the pocket, where I'm thinking Hoodie will have defenders waiting for him.

It's Seattle for me. I remember that game years ago where they were winning by a landslide, and they fake punted on 4th to rub it in. I think they converted a fake field goal into yet another touchdown in the same game IIRC. Then there was the game where Sherman jumped offside and killed our kicker, the refs messed up for 10 minutes straight and essentially cost us a field goal, and we lost by 3. The only thing that made me sad about them losing the Superbowl on the goal line was the fact that the pats won it.

It's crazy seeing how much opinions have changed in a year and change. I admittedly was a Rosen guy, but my opinion on Allen changed a lot when I listened to the Move the Sticks podcast episode that featured him and interviewed him. He came off as such a humble and honest guy, I knew he would fit in here personality wise, so I was more disappointed that we didn't take my guy than I was about picking Allen in general. Looking back on it, so far I'm really glad I'm not the GM of this team. We might have been in "Tank for Tua" mode right now instead of playing the Pats at home for first place in the AFCE.

My sources are telling me Brady is consulting with McCoy on the issue. Told he has experience dealing with squatters.

I had the same complaint, but moreso at the end of the game. The Giants had just scored, our offense had just answered with 7 thanks to a stupid penalty giving us 3 more shots at a touchdown. When we get the ball back , IIRC there is a little over 5 minutes left in the game and we're up two scores. At this point, I believe they should still be going for 7. Not New England esque deep shots to humiliate your opponent, just move the chains and eat that clock up while giving yourself a chance to expand your lead and ice the game. McD goes into "let my 97 year old running back run the clock out" mode, leading to a quick punt. Anyone that's been around the game a while knows 2 scores in 5 minutes is not impossible. I don't care how much faith you have in our defense, why give them an opportunity? Even a field goal makes it that much more difficult for them to come back. When you have a hall of fame Superbowl mvp quarterback and probably the best rb on the planet on the other side, I'm not taking chances if I can avoid it. That's the kind of thing that could absolutely bite us in the rear against NE.

The great part is now we can't be wrong. In all seriousness though I hope he pulls out of this. Maybe he's still battling shoulder injuries or something else is off, or maybe he really has hit his limit. I'm not the biggest fan of Cam out there, but I can't deny he's a really fun quarterback to watch when he's on his game.

I noticed that too, it wasn't even really a quick pass game as much as it was just swings and screens with some checkdowns. It's going to come down to technique, get bodies to the football and make clean tackles. If we can get them behind early that should prevent them from handing it off to Barkley all game. First quarter points will be a huge priority. Put the game in Eli's hands.
