So to sum up, the Sabres are complete garbage and unwatchable for 3 years & get rewarded for their awfulness.  Then Pegula gets a man crush on an inaccurate cowboy and drafts him over the better pro prospect because he will shut up and play football. Go Pegula!!!

just kidding, I love them and hope you are right.  Terry is an awful speaking but Kim is hot and they genuinely love Buffalo.

To their defense, the Pegulas inherited garbage, especially the Sabres. So yeah, it is taking awhile to get these bad teams better. But it's not like they came in and made anything worse.

This has nothing to do with anything.

McBeane picked him over the others for two reasons:

    1. Athleticism

    2. Work Ethic

McDermott is a Work Ethic guy, I think he didn't like Rosen's meh-its-only-football-how-hard-can-it-be attitude.

    Wonderlic played zero role.

It's just another piece to the thousands in the puzzle. It plays a small role just like all the other pieces.

Does anyone actually believe that Allen WON'T beat out AJ in camp? Unless they make a concerted effort to sit him out, the job is Josh's to lose.

I don't think he will. I think Allen is already playing catch-up and he has a lot to work on.

I bet it ends up similar to KC and Mahomes last year where we only see Allen in 1 or 2 games.

    We'll see though.

  4. Nobody is going to be afraid to face those WR's except for maybe Benjamin and his size and large catch radius.

Can the Bills make it work with those guys? Absolutely. If we don't upgrade anymore I think we'll be ok for a year, and I expect Beane will bring in guys to compete for roles throughout the season.

But ultimately we need to get better at the position. It is not a position of strength.

They just keep doing what they've been doing...........I don't think it's any clearer.........but I do wonder how they are going to field anything resembling a competent offense this year with the personnel they have on that side of the ball..........if Daboll gets them even back where they were last year he might be in line for a HC job.

The offense was pretty terrible last year, so I'm not quite understanding your meaning.

We still have McCoy. He has basically been the only bright spot on offense. I'm assuming it will be more of the same with him and the occasional catch from Clay and the receivers.

  6. The Soul and Science video with him had his release time at .38, which is on par with elite QB's like Tom Brady. I'm encouraged by that.

Also he was throwing 74 mph balls. Insane.

If he can fix his lower body mechanics he has serious potential. We'll see, though.

Pssst Josh Rosen, over here...turn off the me-centered attitude if you want to make it in the NFL kid.

Haha, clearly you haven't paid attention to NFL players. 90% of them are full of themselves (for good reason since they are athletic freaks making millions to play a game).

I didn't draft Allen, don't take it out on me. It's the worst draft pick in Bills history because of what they passed on.

Ryan Leaf was the Josh Allen type prospect. Big strong QB. Peyton was the methodical high football IQ guy.

Pretty sure Allen has a high football IQ. He apparently blew interviewers away on the white board and had the highest wonderlic score in the draft, higher than Rosen.

I don't think it is a question of smarts or understanding the game with him. It's all throwing and footwork mechanics, and his supporting cast (he had no talent around him in college).

I wanted Rosen too, but I also give Beane the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise, and I'll do the same for Allen. I'd rather see a single snap in the pros before writing him off as a terrible draft pick.

The Bills had to outbid Arizona for pick 7. Regardless of how you feel about Allen (I’m on the fence) at least know the facts. Neither Josh would have been avail past pick 10. Plain and simple.

At least not past pick 11. I believe the Dolphins would have taken one if they fell to them.

Then we'd be stuck with Jackson *gasp*

Leading up to the draft I hated the thought of drafting Allen ... truth be told I slotted him AFTER Roudolph and even Lauletta ...... My worst nightmare was trading up in round one with Rosen/Mayfield/Darnold still undrafted, and picking Allen.

After we announced our pick (after I stopped crying) I've decided he now wears a Bills uni ... he's a likeable kid ... I trust the process ... The brain trust at One Bills drive chose him and not Rosen (and they know scouting way better than I) ...

Bottom line is he's my guy, I'm all in ... may the best QB win this completion and lead us to the playoffs.

    GO BILLS

I'm basically in the same boat. However, I still thought Allen was one of the top 4 and if we couldn't get the other three we should take him.

I was also impressed by his high wonderlic score and that he looked like he was improving in the predraft process.

Also, go watch the Soul and Science video on him. He throws a 74 mph ball and has a release time on par with Tom Brady and other elites. He also had one chance to hit a cross bar at 35 yards away and nailed it first try. If he pans out he has the potential to be elite. I think that is what Beane saw.

He wasn't the safe pick, but he was a swing-for-the-fences pick.

Also, I did have concerns about Rosen's injury history. We'll see if he and Bradford can stay off IR this year.
