  1. Where is this coming from? Why do fans keep saying this?
  2. Bigger. Faster. Stronger. More complex offensive and defensive schemes.
  3. I doubt it. Either a kicker is kicking with proper technique or he is not. Any NFL kicker or special teams coach can immediately diagnose what the issue is in real time. Bass knew exactly what his issue was, but it took time to drill it out of himself. And the mental side of it is when you are thinking about using proper technique, it is hard to actually do it because you overthink everything and become robotic rather than just using muscle memory to do it.
  4. Yeah, how do people not see this? He was one of the big disappointments this year. He was bad. Cut him and move on.
  5. And many of them flame out. It's still a crap shoot.
  6. And his 1975 season was even better. 2,243 scrimmage yards and 23 total TDs. It could be the greatest season ever by any player regardless of position.
  7. That's not quite true. More money goes to the high value players, generally. Depth and lower end starters don't all go up in price at the same rate. Positional values also play into it. So, it can be more beneficial to certain teams more than others depending on their individual needs and cap issues.
  8. I'd love to have Metcalf. I'm not too interested in any of the other options. Maybe just bring back Amari Cooper if they can't make a swing for someone better and then try to bring in some draft talent.
  9. Because I see clips and they are never funny.
  10. Does anyone watch that anymore? It hasn't been funny in a long, long time.
  11. It is a real shame. I hope the Bills can get it done. BTW, Josh Allen shares some of the blame as well. Not in every elimination game, but in some of them. The last two he had the ball in the final moments of the game and did not produce points. He has to be able to step up in those moments. Mahomes always does. Allen is amazing and he is a great QB, but just like Mahomes in the superbowl, sometimes he regresses to some of is old habits in pressure situations.
  12. He is ALWAYS injured. Other than that he is a good back.
  13. Injuries have played a huge part. Specific moments and errors on specific plays have played a part, by both players and coaches. Kansas City being better and having actual elite players who make elite plays in critical moments has been a bug difference. We don't really have that outside of Allen. Yeah, I do think part of it is that Andy Reid has been a step ahead of our coaches. He is legitimately one of the greatest coaches of all time. But nobody we bring in is going to be a better coach than him. That just realistically isn't possible. It isn't just one thing, though. All facets of the team share some of the blame. I think talent and lack of elite difference makers is the biggest piece of the pie, personally.
  14. The defense is aggressive. They don't sit back in soft zone coverage all the time. They do play more man than they have in recent years, and even the teams that play the most man coverage in the league still play more zone than man. The Eagles just destroyed the Chiefs in the superbowl by playing almost exclusively zone coverage and not blitzing at all. The defense does not sit back and let offenses dictate the game. The players lose one on one matchups too much, miss tackles too much, and are out of position too much. That's the issue with the defense. The scheme is complex, nuanced, aggressive, and innovative. The scheme is fine. They need players to execute it better. Part of that is on the coaches. Part of that is talent acquisition. Part of that is on the players themselves.
  15. That's what I'm saying. It is easy to criticize, but those guys are complete failures. Why do we care what they say? Especially since everything they said is common narrative.
  16. Seems like they are just saying all the normal talking points and speculative criticisms. Alright.
  17. That price tag for Shakir seems high to me. He has 1500 yards and 7 TDs over three years. He plays predominantly in the slot. I just don't think he will be paid that much. Maybe 15 per year?
  18. I didn't ignore them. I stated that they were player execution issues, and I believe that. We didn't have many of those issues when peak Hyde and Poyer were playing. My reply wasn't to you anyway.
  19. Anquan Bolden
  20. No, not this year. But last year, absolutely. And even this year, I think we would have been on the road in the playoffs more, which would not have been favorable. Everyone rotates their defensive line.
  21. Because they lost a ton of talent. It was a real issue. And despite that they were able to generate a ton of turnovers which legitimately added to the Bills ability to win games in the regular season and the playoffs.
  22. I think McDermott props up the defense, especially the secondary, and that we see more of the true colors of the team in the playoffs when the difference in talent becomes evident. So yes, I think losing McDermott and changing to another coach would negatively impact the defense in the regular season and result in fewer wins.
  23. That's such a lazy argument, though. You can't cast aspersions at the coach or the scheme when you don't have concrete things to point to besides the result. There are a lot of things that go into those results.
