  1. Moss is a rookie. I don't like to assume that rookies will be major contributors. But he may. I expect him to be better than Gore. Another year in the system is only good if Daboll is actually a good coordinator. I guess we'll see. FYI I do expect the Bills to be better on offense. But I don't expect them to suddenly be a top 10 offense. I think they need a better offensive line and obviously Josh needs to get better too. I don't expect him to turn into Joe Montana over night. I expect him to make steady improvement, though.
  2. The Bills are pretty similar to last year except for Diggs. The oline is still below average, in my opinion. Now, maybe Diggs makes the huge difference that we all hope he does. That's totally possible and maybe even likely. But people are saying the Bills now have loads of talent around Allen on offense and really what they mean is we now have Diggs. That's the only difference. I expect that our offense will still have growing pains. And I'm not convinced Daboll is that good of an OC yet, anyways. The jury is still out on him. Can our offense be really good with basically only one different player? I guess we'll see.
  3. I mean, he is still under contract, so I would think that NEXT year is really the make or break year. The narrative is that Josh Allen won't have any excuses for poor play because he now has a number 1 receiver. Josh is safe (in that he'll get another year as a starter) if he plays the same, improves, or does slightly worse. If he falls off a cliff, maybe he isn't safe and the Bills are looking for another QB next year. But I expect he will improve, but perhaps not to the degree his detractors are demanding.
  4. Bingo. I didn't read the article, but this was what I was expecting it to say.
  5. Newton wasn't realistically going to sign somewhere to be a backup, and I wouldn't want him anywhere near this team anyway. He is as "me first" as it gets. Winston has had a truck load of off the field and character issues. Neither of those guys were realistic to sign. Now, there are other guys who would have been decent options, like Marcus Mariota or Case Keenum, maybe even Blake Bortles. I would have liked to see them go after one of those guys. They all have years of starter experience and even playoff experience. But I'm not bent out of shape that backup QB wasn't a priority. Their approach of drafting a guy to develop is fine with me.
  6. Discussed by delusional fans, maybe. But not by Bills decision makers. You are crazy if you think that is the case. Same goes for every team we face.
  7. NFL The Browns continue their epic tradition of missing the playoffs. The Buccaneers miss the playoffs. Patty Mahomes has a down year, but the Chiefs are still really good. Bills and AFC East The Bills win the AFC East with 10+ wins. The Bills win their first playoff game in 1,000 years, but only win one. The Jets and Patriots split with the Bills. Bills sweep the Dolphins. The Jets aren't as bad as everyone hopes, winning 6 games. The Patriots win only 6 games. The Bills have a top 12 offense and a top 5 defense. Bills Players Josh Allen throws for 30+ TD's and rushes for 6+. Josh Allen's completion percentage is over 60%. Devin Singletary rushes for over 1,100 yards. Tre White has a slight down year but the defense is still really good. Ed Oliver records 8+ sacks, including a safety.
  8. That's merely a sample size issue. Winston is the most careless QB in the league.
  9. I guess I'd have to consider the offensive line the weak point of the team. They were much improved last year but still below average. And we all saw Allen running for his life in that playoff game. He had no chance. It's a line that can get the job done, but it lacks any really good starters. All of them are average or below average (I guess you can out Morse in the above average category). I really hope they show improvement this year because they were a big reason we lost that playoff game. On almost every key play Allen had multiple rushers in his face as soon as he took the snap.
  10. Sounds awesome. If our biggest issue is a backup we must be in a pretty good spot.
  11. Most people just use their real name. Boring, but it gets the job done.
  12. Yes, impossible. Phillips was getting rotated in just as often as Star and Oliver before his injury.
  13. That's just not true... He has has never been even close to a fringe player. He was a major contributor. And once he is healthy he will be a starter next to Oliver.
  14. Agreed. Preseason was great to watch if you realized it isn't the football game you are watching. It's to see individual players.
  15. Came here to say this. The only way sharing a stadium works is if you are in different conferences. Same division would not be even remotely acceptable. You didn't seem to care about any of the other big rivalries...
  16. Marrone didn't have a pandemic to deal with
  17. Excited to see what Epenesa can do. It would be awesome if he just had a breakout year.
  18. Yep. It would be nice to watch a strong offense. Hope they can pull it all together this year and actually have a good offense. It's nice having an elite defense, but it's just more fun when your offense is able to produce at a high level. We have the pieces in place (although the offensive line is just average). If our offense can kick it into gear this will be an incredibly difficult team to beat.
  19. That's a good point. But Singletary was pretty awesome in the playoff game and then Daboll just stopped giving him the ball. If we run it more in the 2nd half we probably win that game. I agree completely. I've been wondering as well if he even wins the job. But I think it is safest to assume he will. But definately not conclusive.
  20. It's also our coaches who like to bring rookies along slowly. Singletary was CLEARLY the better back but they refused to take touches away from an increasingly ineffective Gore until later in the season. Singletary also got hurt, but it's clear they wanted to increase his work load slowly. They might do the same with Moss. And also Daboll seems to prefer the pass and I doubt that he will pound the rock as much as he should.
  21. James White is good but he's nowhere near elite. Their rushing attack took a big step back last year compared to 2018. White's stats, both rushing and receiving, were down from 2018 as well. I think that is due to worse oline play. I'd take Singletary over any back they have and it's not even close. Moss is a rookie. We expect a lot from him but we'll have to wait and see. But I think by year's end the Bills will make a name for themselves as having one of the better running back tandems in the league. But that is projecting. No way of knowing for sure how things go. The Pats are getting starting C Andrews back from IR but lost their starting RT to an opt out. They drafted three olinemen. Chances are the right side of their oline will be very inexperienced. I think their oline gets worse this year, especially without Brady who gets the ball out very quickly. And I think the Bills oline gets better with most starters returning and being in their 2nd year together. I think it is a wash between the pats and bills as far as oline.
  22. Never heard of him.
  23. He's always looking around suspiciously like he did something wrong and he's afraid someone will find out.
