Fish will have 13K fans for opener v. Bills
MJS replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never knew we had so many champs. -
I'd totally take a flier on him. I thought he was going to be pretty good coming out, but it hasn't worked out. But McDermott can coax that 1st round talent out of him.

Gilmore’s absence from Pats camp stretches to 5th day
MJS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, people were claiming they saw some good stuff from him last year. Then you bring up the stats and they just go quiet. Patriots ALWAYS get the benefit of the doubt, even when they clearly have some terrible things going on with their team. -
Barkley isn't good, but making him out to be the worst QB in existence is extreme. (And he is nowhere near as good as Fitz any way you slice it). He played well against the Jets a couple year ago, and basically hasn't played hardly at all since then. Fans went from being fine with Barkley as a backup last year to horrified this year, and I wonder what the change was. He played only a few downs of meaningful football. Most of his 2019 play was in the meaningless week 17 game where the Bills sat everyone who mattered. I would have liked to see an upgrade at backup QB, but some of you are going WAY overboard. Fitzpatrick is definately a turnover machine, especially in key moments. But he is a great backup because he has the ability to come in, rally the troops, and win a game. Most backups don't have that ability. You just don't want Fitzpatrick to be your starter because eventually he WILL start turning it over in droves.

There will be MORE poaching, in my opinion. More players on the practice squad, including veterans, means you potentially have higher caliber players there, and they can't be protected for the full week (which means they aren't protected at all).

Didn't stop fans everywhere for declaring the end of the world when a few baseball players got it. Time heals everything.

I turned on the show and heard it was just her and just about turned it off, but figured I'd listen to see if she has improved. And honestly, she is much better than she used to be. But that is a low bar and she still is pretty bad. But, I was encouraged that she actually has improved. Unlike others I don't really mind her voice, but the questions she asked and her lack of knowledge about the sport and the team are still glaring. She said "We play the Jets twice this year!" ... Uh, they are in our division. We play them twice every year, Maddy... But it was good hearing from Bledsoe and I thought some of the stuff Lorenzo Alexander brought up was interesting. I'm offended that everyone takes offense all the time!!

Mark Davis is calling the new stadium the Death Star
MJS replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It gets routinely blown up. That's not a good omen. -
Would YOU pay for a ‘Bills Network’?
MJS replied to TheyCallMeAndy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would it have things that can't just be found easily online? -
Covering OBJ in the end zone, play after play, was a big highlight from last year. He really locked him down. Committed penalties when he needed to, but lived to fight another down. Great series of plays from him.

Keep him just for the peace of mind that he isn't going to cost the team. I'm sick of holding my breath on kick offs and punts.

Josh Norman leg injury (update - Hamstring, out indefinitely)
MJS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dang. Hamstring injuries suck. Never know how long they will be out and setbacks are very common. -

Melvin Ingram III trade scenarios - Bills mentioned
MJS replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That seems wildly irresponsible to me. Don't see Beane doing that. Especially since it's our OFFENSE that needs help, not our defense. And the weak part of our offense is the oline. It got better last year but it is still below average.
