  1. I said the exact same thing. And Allen had MORE rushing yards than Murray at that point. It was so ridiculous. Murray had a pretty mediocre half and they were still gushing over him. It really had me confused and I wondered if they had even watched it. I'll be honest, it seemed like Burleson was kind of confused because he started talking about how good the Buffalo defense was playing and containing Murray, but the others just nodded and moved on quickly.
  2. I disagree with you. When people said he was inacurate they meant far more inacurate than other QB's, even other rookies. They point to his low completion percentage as proof. But his completion percentage as not low due to him missing his target. That's just not the case at all. Allen did have some mechanics issues (as tons of QB's do coming into the NFL) and he did miss throws sometimes (as all QB's do) but he was not less accurate than other young QB's in the NFL. He was often very accurate on throws. His misses due to mechanics and actually missing his target happened, but were rare. He missed more due to bad decision making, throwing into coverage, being under pressure, not being on the same page with his receivers, and receivers dropping passes, and refusing to take check downs and other easy completions. Allen has never been an inacurate passer, or at least he has never been more inacurate than most young QB's. He has often shown the physical ability to put the ball right where it needs to be. He just needed to get more experience and learn the mental aspects of the game to catch up, and yes, fix a few mechanics (which is common in young QB's).
  3. And threw TD passes. And ran for first downs.
  4. I like the 90's. You had good offenses but defenses could still play defense. Today is good too, but I think officiating is as bad as it has ever been.
  5. Sorry. I don't hear people out.
  6. I disagree. NE does not have a good offense. Yards per drive is directly related to field position, for one thing. If you have good special teams and get short fields from that and defensive turnovers, you may have a horrible yards per drive and yet still have a really good offense that scores a lot of points. There's no way to isolate the offense completely. All phases of the game go together.
  7. Just depends. He's leading the league in passing yards right now. If he keeps that up, throws for a bunch of TD's, and the Bills win a bunch more games, he could jump into the 20's or even higher. We'll just have to see how it pans out.
  8. Yards per drive? Is that a stat that really means anything? How do they rank in points per game? How is their 3rd down and red zone efficiency? What's their turnover differential? NE is 19th in yards per game, 27th in points per game. That's about all you need to see. They don't have a good offense. Even Jacksonville is scoring more than them.
  9. Well, it seems to me that the NFL is looking for some kind of pat on the back, which seems disingenuous. This should have happened years ago, even by accident. And somehow it never has. They should be trying to hide the fact that is has never happened, not looking for praise.
  10. Good for them. Let's hope they do a good job, which is all I care about.
  11. Anyone else surprised that Russell Wilson has thrown 10 INT's? He has thrown 7 in the last 4 games. 4 in the last 2. That should hurt his MVP chances. And the Seahawks have lost the last 3 out of 4 games. I was voting for QB's and was surprised to see how many he has thrown. On the other hand, Mahomes has thrown only 1!! Incredible.
  12. I think a lot of Bills fans were surprised to see Allen in the top 100. Not because we didn't think he deserved it, but because we figured he wasn't recognized enough league-wide being in a small market and such. I know I was pleasantly surprised.
  13. Wasn't Worley wearing some kind of face covering when he came in last game?
  14. In the Pro Bowl voting it showed Bojo's average as like 42 or something...
  15. I would assume there's a point of diminishing returns...
  16. NOT DURING GAMES
  17. Darn. I actually like the skill challenges and competitions they have. The actual game isn't that great, though.
  18. Here's an article up on NFL.com right now that lists Josh Allen 2nd for players who deserve to make their first pro bowl. There's some good Josh Allen stats in there that are really cool, such as the stats showing how effective he is when having 4 seconds to throw or longer: https://www.nfl.com/news/picking-first-time-pro-bowlers-dk-metcalf-josh-allen-shine "Josh Allen likely won't win the award, but he's made a legitimate case for NFL MVP in his third professional season -- by improving in key areas that were once his downfall. Allen is finding success by relying on his greatest strengths: athleticism and his lauded big arm. Allen is tied for third in the NFL in passing touchdowns thrown while on the run (8-plus mph at time of release), trailing only Patrick Mahomes (nine) and Russell Wilson (seven). He's tied at six touchdowns with Aaron Rodgers, who has made a career out of throwing while moving. Allen's also improved the accuracy of his cannon-like arm, nearly doubling his completion percentage on deep passes from the previous two seasons (23.1% in 2018-19) to this season (42.9%), moving from last in that category in 2018-19 to eighth in 2020 among qualified passers. Stefon Diggs involvement helps there, no doubt, but so does play-action; Allen has completed nine of 18 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns on deep attempts out of play-action. And lastly, Allen excels when using more than the standard three seconds to throw the ball -- he's first among QBs in completions (30), passing yards (511), TDs (five) and expected points added (26) on dropbacks that last four seconds or longer. And that's not just an occasional occurrence; Allen's rate of extended dropbacks (17.3 percent of all passes) is the highest among qualified quarterbacks. Oh, and pressure Allen if you must, but don't expect a positive outcome. Allen owns a 62.4 completion percentage, throwing for nine touchdowns, one interception and a 105.5 passer rating against the blitz. He's done so by airing it out less, cutting down his average air yards per attempt against the blitz by nearly 2 yards from Years 1 and 2 to Year 3. In total, Allen is playing at an elite level. This is what Buffalo dreamed of when it spent the seventh overall pick on him in 2018, and a gigantic reason for why the Bills are the favorite to win the AFC East."
  19. Luckily the Bills have beaten two of those teams and are a half game ahead of all of them.
  20. Not during games.
  21. I'd totally take him as a backup. Get him onto a team with continuity and with coaches who will work with him and develop him. Let him sit and learn behind Allen. He'd be a good backup, I'd bet. But I bet there's a team out there willing to kick the tires and sign him as a starter.
  22. He probably fell over due to the head injury.
  23. Poyer has the stats so far. Dawkins and Williams have both played really well at tackle. Beasley deserves some votes. Roberts deserves votes as a returner.
