  1. I'm sure there are other, better things to target with your disapproval.
  2. I would be VERY surprised if he made the 53. We already went through this last year. He was cut and put on the practice squad. Teams didn't clamor to sign him. And they won't clamor to sign him this year either.
  3. The only difference I see between the two is that one of them is new and one of them is not. I don't see how anyone can claim that Gilliam is better at anything than DiMarco. It's just hopeful speculation because fans (inexplicably) have wanted DiMarco cut for years now.
  4. If a team trades for Foster that is another magical move by Beane. I just don't see a team willing to trade for him, honestly. He did nothing last year and has been on the roster bubble his entire career.
  5. I'm not going to predict scores, but I'll predict wins and losses: Week 1 - Jets at Bills - WIN Week 2 - Bills at Dolphins - WIN Week 3 - Rams at Bills - WIN Week 4 - Bills at Raiders - LOSS Week 5 - Bills at Titans - WIN Week 6 - Chiefs at Bills - WIN Week 7 - Bills at Jets - WIN Week 8 - Patriots at Bills - WIN Week 9 - Seahawks at Bills - LOSS Week 10 - Bills at Cardinals - WIN Week 11 - BYE Week 12 - Chargers at Bills - WIN Week 13 - Bills at 49ers - LOSS Week 14 - Steelers at Bills - WIN Week 15 - Bills at Broncos - WIN Week 16 - Bills at Patriots - LOSS Week 17 - Dolphins at Bills - LOSS Bills finish 11-5 and win the division. I think week 17 might be a "we rested our starters" loss. I think the big win of the season is vs the Chiefs, and I give the Bills the edge because they are playing at home and will come in treating it like a playoff game and will surprise the Chiefs with their physicality. i also think the defensive line is going to really good this year, generating lots of pressure on QB's.
  6. Every other heart beat!
  7. Because he said he isn't interested in playing anywhere else.
  8. Dean Marlowe is a lock. Why is Jaquan Johnson a lock? I imagine him fighting for a roster spot.
  9. I think we sign both. Edmunds also has the 5th year option to consider. He won't need to be signed until a couple years after Milano. Milano may take a discount too. He did say he wasn't interested in playing anywhere else. I've been thinking $12 mil. But we'll see.
  10. Winters hasn't looked good, by all accounts.
  11. Phillips didn't stay in his gap and contribute much to run defense anyways.
  12. Let's hope he is good. Kicking is very mental. You have to handle the pressure.
  13. All true, but Tyrod also kept the team in games by not turning the ball over. You just couldn't ask him to go out and win it for you. But W/L isn't even close. Fitz had a TERRIBLE W/L record as a Bill. In close games, who knows, but there's no way that it bridges the gap. Fitz was at his worst in close games and key moments. Guarenteed pick.
  14. Some coaches don't give up that fast on players, I guess. I mean, he is still in the NFL trying to get better. Obviously coaches and GM's see something in him that you don't and are willing to work with him and try to help him develop. Every time he got on the field for the Bills it was a disaster (except the snow game). Nobody disputes that. I just don't care that much that McDemott and Beane continued to try to develop him and give him opportunities all while focusing on building the team culture, bringing in talent, and scrubbing the cap. It was a rebuild. And they moved on from him and now another team is trying the same thing with him.
  15. I pulled my hair out for both, but I believed in Tyrod longer than Fitzpatrick. I still think Tyrod is a great backup or bridge starter to have for your team. Fitzpatrick is also a great backup and leader. Both can come in and win games, in just about the most opposite manner possible.
  16. It comes down to excitement. Fitz actually had some good passing offenses. Tyrod never did. We had some good running offenses under Tyrod, but that's it. Tyrod was also more frustrating to watch because he never took risks and held onto the ball. Fitz was a gunslinger and took lots of risks, sometimes getting big rewards and sometimes getting picked off. Tyrod kind of had a flat, low-key personality. Fitz was funny, smart, and humble, and he rallied the troops well. BUT, Tyrod was the more successful Bills QB overall and he is underrated. Fitz is liked as a person and leader more than as an actual player. Most fans realize he wasn't a good enough QB to win with because of his physical limitations and taking too many risks. It was time to move on from both of them.
  17. Those starts need context. 1st start was bad, obviously. But he started only because Tyrod was so terrible the week before, throwing for only 56 yards and an INT. 2nd start was the snow game. He started because Tyrod was injured. He threw 1 TD, no INT's and had a rating of 100.8 before leaving injured. 3rd start was Baltimore the next year. That was a bad one. He started because they wanted Allen to sit and learn more, which is a common thing to do with rookie QB's. Peterman also outperformed all the other QB's in preseason, including McCarron who they traded for a draft pick. 4th start was due to an Allen injury. It's not like they chose to keep throwing him in there for no reason. He started because of injuries to starters and lack of better options on the team. And then they cut him and were forced to start QB's off the street. I see the argument for cutting him after the Baltimore game for sure, but it was kind of a throwaway year anyway with the team fixing the cap and starting a rookie QB, not to mention the complete lack of talent on the roster anyway. Not arguing that Peterman was good. He wasn't. He was terrible.
  18. It's pretty easy. They didn't condemn him for one bad half of football. He showed promise in camps and preseason so they gave him another shot. And he failed again.
  19. Hard to condemn a guy after one game, though. And you never know until you do. Fans use a lot of hindsight when thinking back on Peterman. Ultimately things worked out and Peterman is gone. Coaches and organizations make mistakes and have to move on from them. If anything, it was a valuable learning experience for McDermott and Beane. Hopefully it taught them that you can't always trust your eyes based on practice or preseason. I personally can't remember such a Jekyll and Hyde player such as Peterman. Guy looked good when it didn't matter and then completely changed with live bullets.
  20. Yeah. Add a couple more losses than we expected. No way we beat the Chiefs without our marking department firing on all cylinders!
  21. Haven't looked at the numbers but I bet we have one of the lowest percentage of screen passes in the league from last year.
  22. Yeah, and we have a couple backs now who can catch it and make some guys miss. Also, let's run some screen passes to them and Diggs. We seem to have an aversion to screens.
  23. I actually wish he would check it down a little more!
