That's how I felt a few months ago. But then they lost their two best players. The Jets don't have a chance this year. They will win a handful of games, but this is going to Gase's last year as a head coach.

Is it just alphabetical order? I think Ford will start at RG until Feliciano is back.

Kamara, Cook and Kupp sign big extensions
MJS replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's a good point. It would make sense to sign running backs to shorter deals, but it takes two to tango. Running backs probably prefer the longer term deals because it offers more security. QB's should want short-term deals, especially if they are elite. -
Don't forget the Jets missed kicks. That was big in deciding the outcome. It was a strange game, honestly. I never actually felt like the Bills would lose. Our defense was smothering and our offense moved the ball at will until inexplicably squandering opportunity after opportunity. I felt like they would turn it around and get the win, and they did. But they made it uncomfortably close.

Well I agree. Earlier in the off-season I was talking up the Jets and thought they might get to 8 or 9 wins, then all the shenanigans started with trading their best player, Mosley opting out, injuries to offensive weapons, and of course Gase being the opposite of a leader. So I am fully on board the "Jets suck" train now.

Brian Daboll is on the hotseat starting TOMORROW

He has the year to prove it, unless the offense is just so bad he gets fired mid season. I have an open mind. Haven't cast judgement on him yet. I could see him being good or being bad. Let's hope he is good. -
I get the frustration, but limiting the contact on the field makes sense. If an opposing player is somehow infected and comes into contact with a Bills player, you want as few potential contacts as possible. So the NFL and NFLPA have been trying to get as few people on the sidelines as possible. Makes sense to me.

Wow. That's a crazy stat. But Darnold's tenure in New Jersey is marked by his lack of support. The offensive line was very bad last year and he didn't have many weapons. Kind of similar to this year except he has less weapons and his oline may possibly be better. I personally think Darnold is a good QB, albeit turnover prone.

Just follow the rules, people! Doesn't matter if you don't like them. If you want change go through the proper channels. -
They are seriously beyond reason. They are the one fan base in the NFL that just seem completely and utterly clueless and delusional. When the Bills are bad, yeah, you still have a few delusional fans, but most of us know it and own it (apart from maybe a little hope going into the season). Those guys have to manufacture wins and talent in their heads and ignore their own team completely.

I wonder if the opt-outs are having second thoughts
MJS replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw a lot of people on the sidelines with masks on their chins of touching it constantly. Kind of defeats the purpose of a mask. And right as the broadcasters were saying the fans in the stands should be wearing masks it was showing fans without masks. And the fans did not seem overly distanced to me. They seemed to be together in clumps. We'll see how it goes after week 1. -
Bills have weapons to be elite offense
MJS replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Comparing Kelce to Knox? That's a huge reach. And then Allen to Mahomes is obviously a wide gulf. But the biggest difference is Andy Reid's play calling. That dude comes up with some nifty misdirection and interesting designs. He uses motion well. He uses screens well. Daboll isn't anywhere near that. -
After the game tonight --- are pre-season games really necessary?
MJS replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Preseason does help teams get ready, but I think the primary purpose is for evaluating your roster. I think a lot of players didn't get a chance to show what they can do and got cut because of it. So I would want at least a couple of preseason games just so you give those undrafted guys or journeymen guys the opportunity to perform and earn a roster spot. -

I thought it was cheesy. Go ahead. Call me a racist or whatever. -
They could beat the Steelers and Vikings. I mean, they could easily lose to them too, but they won't necessarily go 0-4.

What, Mahomes had a bad pass!!?? I thought only Josh did that...

You can tell that Houston doesn't have the horses to keep up with KC. Not having Hopkins is hurting them. They need to get the ball in Johnson's hands more. He came to play.
