Allen has shown he can spread the ball around. 8 different receivers in both games so far.

New England Is Still The Team To Beat in AFC East (For Now)
MJS replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually the Bills are the team to beat. They are 2-0 and the Pats are 1-1. -
Daboll's lack of designed runs for Allen this week...
MJS replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
QB's are injured far less on designed runs (injuries per plays called) than on sacks, scrambles, and knockdowns. It's like 1 in every 200 plays called. Sacks and scrambles are like 1 in 90. Knockdowns are like 1 in 70. So actually the safest thing a QB can do is a designed run. But yeah, turnovers are bad. -
Daboll's lack of designed runs for Allen this week...
MJS replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it was just the game plan. The Dolphins had to spend a lot of time preparing for it only for that preparation to be useless because the Bills did not call it. It's always in the bag and defenses will have to prepare for it. Allen only ran it twice this week. I believe both were scrambles. The other two on the stat sheet were kneel downs at the end of the game. Allen did "fumble" but it was well after the whistle and he made no attempt to recover, instead choosing to complain to the refs about the inadvertent whistle. Not sure if he would have actually fumbled had the play not been called dead. The world will never know. -
Third Quarter Anemic Offense (Getting Better Every Week)
MJS replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sure they will be focusing on that going forward. It's the big, glaring issue for the team right now. The bills usually do a fine job at addressing their most glaring issues. Maybe they need to scheme it up in the 3rd quarter with some trick plays or gimmick plays that get a little momentum. For the defense, I'm not sure. They seemed to blitz too much yesterday. -
Didn't I include Allen?
-
He stopped playing though, hearing the whistle. At least that's what it seemed like, because there was no attempt to recover and he was complaining to the officials immediately. It was a really dumb whistle. Allen was actively moving forward at the time. It was even worse watching a 2nd time.

All 3 starting WRs on pace for 1000+ yards...
MJS replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Diggs is on pace for 128 catches and like 1,900 yards. Probably won't happen, but dang that would be a historic season. That would be 2nd all time in receiving yards and I think 6th in receptions. -
Yep. I thought the Patriots would be worse. I should have known better. They are going to be tough. And I'll eat my crow on the Dolphins too. They may not be going to the playoffs this year but they are building a good team. I thought they would be worse than they are. Unfortunately, they are following Buffalo's blueprint on building a team and Flores admitted that this week. But it still comes down to QB and we have to see how Tua plays. Because the Bills are currently in first place in the division... So literally it is the Bills division to lose...

Chiefs @ Chargers - Romo is always right!

Herbert looked great. -
We have Diggs, Allen, and White. Losing any of those would be devastating.

He has taken hits both week, but he keeps bringing it. What great trade.
-
Beasley? He had a great game.

Josh Allen Hasn't thrown for 500 yards!
MJS replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He needs to get over that 80% hump. Get that monkey off his back. -
I said the same thing leading up to the draft, but actually watching Allen his rookie year it became clear to me that his issues were not accuracy related. They were mostly decision making and game experience, and mechanics on a couple specific types of throws. It taught me that there is way more to accuracy than just the completion percentage number.

It would be interesting if Brady retired and Rosen became the guy to replace him. But I won't put any money on that. That dude just doesn't seem to have what it takes.

And the first with consecutive 300+ yard games, right? -
Refs focusing on "clear and obvious" calls
MJS replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To me a sideline catch requires you to survive the ground at least initially. How else can they call it a catch? If you catch it and the ball comes out I don't see how that fits the rules of a catch even without the "surviving the ground" rule. -
He had one rough play on the long completion (that was dropped) and the others were just short passes that he was right there.
-
I'll add Oliver to that list. Sparked the goal line stand and had a sack.

Refs focusing on "clear and obvious" calls

Hughes is on the naughty list. Refs refuse to call anything in support of him and actively look for reasons to call personal fouls on him. It's weird because he isn't a dirty player. But I guess he has said things to officials in the past. -

I agree on that. The other things are controversial, but I can see them going either way. McKenzie was not moving parallel or towards his own end zone. But I guess on those plays you shouldn't hit the defender. I guess you need to just stick your arms out and try to just get in their way.
