Running the ball is still as effective as ever, but the problem is with such a style it is difficult to score quickly. And therefore, it is difficult to come back in a game where you are down on the scoreboard, especially if you need to do that late in the 4th quarter. The passing game allows you to more effectively manage the clock (because incompletions stop the clock) and pick up chunk plays (averaging 5 yards a rush is good, but averaging 5 yards a pass is really bad. Pass plays generally pick up more yards). The Titans are a good example of a run first team. All their games are incredibly close and go down to the wire. They don't have the type of offense (generally) that allows them to build a comfortable lead. Part of that is because of their dependence on the run game. I also think it is more important to have a good oline if you depend on the run. You can mitigate oline weaknesses with a quick passing game. Hard to do that with a run first offense. I prefer an offense that can do both.

Yeah, Allen was basically all we had on offense in 2018. He had a horrible oline and our best receiver was Robert Foster, now a practice squad player for another team. -

Gase has got to be one of the worst NFL coaches ever. Just completely clueless on how to relate to players and lead a team. -
Lazard out. Packers want Kumerow back?

I'm not going to get worked up about who we keep on our practice squad. In my opinion Foster had a couple years to show that he could step up and he didn't. So the Bills moved on. I think it was best for both parties. Foster gets a new shot with a new team and the Bills get to evaluate a different player with a different skill set. -
Good sign for Norman.

And honestly it isn't bad. They make dumb decisions by taking features away and adding others that nobody wants, and there are a few glitches (for me VERY rare) that they don't fix fast enough, but overall playing Madden is fun. EA deserves criticisms for sure, not saying they don't. But for those saying it is a bad game, I think that is a gross exaggeration.

To me it comes down to them breaking the law and breaking the NFL and NFLPA determined protocol, along with the predetermined actions that should be taken from such violations, whatever those were. Given the break in protocol, I think it makes perfect sense for them to have to quarantine for the 8 day incubation period, which doesn't have anything to do with discipline. But that doesn't seem like it will happen. My guess is they will just be fined, which sets bad precedent, in my opinion. I don't think it is that simple given the incubation period that can last up to 8 days.

Not sure who he is, but he has a sissy name. -
We were never a 9-7 team this year.

All-22 Grades for Bills/Rams (The Athletic)

I don't think it is even remotely likely that Phillips would get cut or traded this year. But stranger things have happened. Could his snaps be reduced? For sure. Edmunds went to the pro bowl last year. I think his trajectory as a player has been a fairly steady climb. He's still super young. He's banged up. I'm pretty sure he'll get things turned around. -

He's coming off two knee surgeries. He needs some time to get back into things. Let's check back later in the season and see where he is at. He was definately looking pretty good last year before his injury, in my opinion, and hasn't gotten back to that yet. -
Ignored by whom? He's the talk of the NFL right now.

Yeah, I actually like all the combinations just fine, but within those I have some I prefer more than the others. I actually like the all reds. Just don't want them all the time. That's how I feel about the all blues as well. They're fine for a game. -
2nd highest Number of Bills fans?

People inherit fandom front their parents. Thus, I am a Bills fan even though I've only been to Buffalo once in my life. -

Yeah, they seem to prefer the white in the warmer months. -
And Carr doesn't throw a ton of deep balls anyway, does he?
-
For this season they could. But yeah, going forward that's doubtful.

Even if he plays I'm assuming he'll be on a pitch count. But it will be nice to get him at least a little action.

Spain is quality depth, so I would want to keep him for this year at least. No telling how Ford will do or even Feliciano coming off injury. Oline depth is one of the better things about this team, even if the starting 5 aren't really above average outside of Morse and Dawkins.
