  1. I think 20 years from now a lot of fans will be looking back with fondness on this team, including McDermott and Beane. McDermott gets just WAY too much criticism. He is a really good coach. Most of the time fans are just throwing out vitriol his way without even understanding what they are watching or the nature of NFL football. Like the idiotic claims that he is conservative when he has shown time and time again that he is aggressive and follows the analytics as close as any coach in the NFL.
  2. There is a 0% chance a 24 year old girl would be with 72 year old Belichick if he wasn't rich and famous. No chance whatsoever.
  3. I agree. Milano should play if he is ready to go.
  4. Williams is strongest playing downhill against the run and short passes. Milano is best in coverage. You got it opposite, haha.
  5. It's amazing how you can be so wrong about so many things. Basically the opposite is true of everything claimed here. Pretty impressive, honestly.
  6. He looks so sad in this photo. Poor guy.
  7. I think his riches make him a lot more interesting for her.
  8. McDermott is a pretty accomplished defensive coach and playcaller. He isn't just a culture or leadership guy. Many players, coaches, and analysts have talked about how innovative and difficult to read his defense is. The way he disguises things is unmatched.
  9. Sometimes games get away from you. It's just the nature of football. It doesn't usually happen to the Bills because they are really good and really well coached.
  10. The Lions aren't being talked about? I've been hearing they are the best team in the league for a few weeks now. Nationally they are being talked about, but perhaps Bills fans aren't because NFC teams aren't usually the focus.
  11. You know, kickers are weird. Half of their ability is mental. Getting traded and going to a new environment is exactly the type of thing that might get a kicker into a mental spiral and cause a decline. New city, new teammates, new coaches, and a new holder. That seems like a recipe for kicking problems.
  12. Well, it was a big win because it was a conference game and it helps the Bills with seeding. Plus, the Chiefs are a good team and when you beat good teams, that shows you what you are made of. So, yes, it was a great regular season win. But that only matters if we can get it done and beat them in the playoffs. I'll just dunk on them twice in the playoffs when we beat them.
  13. Well, it matters if we beat them in the playoffs. I'm not dunking on them until that happens. We beat them and it was a great win, but the playoffs are what matter most.
  14. Wow. Actual replays. I thought those had been banned from football.
  15. I hope someone rips off that necklace Diggs is wearing.
  16. They are forcing him to do the "Here we go!" part of Dak's cadence? That is weird.
  17. Maybe. Just go win it this year. Bust through that playoff wall.
  18. Losing Nico Collins was a significant blow. Their offense was not the same without him. It sucks that he burned us for a long TD before leaving the game, though. McDermott seems to understand the scheme and how to stop it. He has a pretty excellent record against Shanahan and his disciples.
  19. Those tables couldn't hold a cup of coffee.
  20. I always liked Bates, personally. But partly it was with the hope that he would grow and develop. I guess that didn't happen.
  21. Stroud looked amazing last year. I really thought he was the real deal. This year he has taken a significant step back. He still has flashes of greatness, but you can tell that things aren't falling so perfectly for him this year. There is a lot more film on him.
  22. I knew I forgot one.
  23. They were pretty awesome in those few games they played together! I remember. It will be great to get them together again. Milano will probably take some time to knock off the rust, though.
  24. Not to mention the really promising pipeline of young players developing. Van Demark, Anderson, Van Pran-Granger, and Gouraige. All of those guys are developing nicely.
  25. There are significant asterisks next to each of the departing core players you mentioned, though. That is what the national media missed. Diggs: character and locker room issues, demanded a trade, and was significantly ineffective for a large portion of the season last year. Davis: Josh Allen made him seem like a better receiver than he is. He is a 3rd receiver who got paid like a #2. He also faded badly in games last year. Morse: Still a good player, but getting older. He also got pushed around sometimes. Losing him was probably the riskiest move, but it worked out with McGovern. Hyde: Tons of scary injuries and he clearly lost a step. Good to move on from aging players like this. Poyer: Injured a lot and lost a step. He is no longer what he used to be. White: Tons of significant injuries impacted his ability to play. Very sad, but he isn't what he used to be. Neal (ST ace gunner): Who cares? Taiwan Jones (ST): Who cares? The media (and some fans) focused too much on the names and not on the situation with each of them. These moves were all unquestionably the right moves to make to compete now and in the future, not just to reset the roster and get younger.
