I guess my one issue with this is not that he is calling the league a cartel, it's just the connotation that people have with that word. They think of illegal criminal drug cartels. The NFL is a legal cartel. The NFL was given anti trust exemptions, so why would they not use that to their miximum benefit? Their goal is to make money. Americans (and now other countries) are shoveling their money into NFL coffers because they love the product so much. Everyone benefits because the league and everyone associated makes a ton of money and people get a high quality product to consume regularly. We're not talking about the price of wheat or oil here. The high price of football entertainment hurts nobody. If it costs too much, people can consume it in limited quantities practically for free. But if you want unfettered access, you have to pay for it.

They call themselves an entertainment league precisely to protect themselves in lawsuits, not because it isn't a sports league. It clearly is.

It kind of shows what one weak link in the line can do to disrupt things. Torrence wasn't great and that caused problems. But, I am not an oline expert. It is just what I see with my untrained eyes and trusting what Joe Marino and others who watched the tape have said.

I doubt he is faking an injury. I don't know how or why that narrative got started.

It was Torrence who had a shaky game. The rest of the oline was pretty good.

I have not mentioned his injury or made any claims either way about his injury. I know you have, but there are other aspects being discussed here besides that.

Call it what you want, be he wilts in the big moments and the playoffs when it counts. He does not seem to handle adversity well, or have the ability to lead his teammates through it. Josh Allen is much better in all these aspects. It's why Lamar Jackson will never get past Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes to get to the superbowl.

Does it look the same to you? All the man coverage and blitzing? The 3 linebacker sets? That looks like the same defense to you?

What NFL world do you live in? Every head coach in the NFL does the exact same thing on their side of the ball, often to a greater extent including taking play calling for themselves.

I actually think the bigger issue is that fans were underestimating the Saints and assuming they would come in and lay down. When they put up a fight, it was jarring for them. The Bills actually had multiple stops in a row at the end of the half and in the 3rd quarter. The problem is, the offense got stopped on all those drives as well. Yes, in the sense that every coordinator is a puppet of the head coach. But he calls the plays. McDermott allows him to do his job.

I don't think he has a point. I think he is known to hold and interfere, so it gets noticed and they call it on him.

What if I told you that the defense actually played pretty decently against the Saints? - Under 300 yards of offense allowed - Only 109 passing yards, 3.5 yards per pass - Allowed 5 conversions on 15 attempts on 3rd and 4th down (33%) - 1 Interception, 3 sacks, and a forced fumble Yeah, the rushing yards allowed were not great, but the overall production and defense was not bad.

And I expressed my opinion that NONE of them deserve a Superbowl.

I don't think anyone deserves a superbowl win. If you want one, go win one.

With KC and Baltimore losing games, it makes sense for Allen to be leading. The MVP usually goes to the QB of the best team, and the Bills are the best team in the league right now, even if his numbers aren't eye popping. But it is really early.

He is your classic gunslinger, just like Bo Nix is. You live and die by that mentality. They throw the ball all over the field and play with confidence, and sometimes that works out really well. Sometimes it leads to bad turnovers. Josh Allen had that in him some, but at least he always held onto the ball and tried to read the defense and find open receivers, even when he was young. Gunslingers usually predetermine where they are going and fire it off quickly. Against experienced coaches like McDermott, that mentality is going to get you in trouble. He might have a really nice drive or two where it looks like he is carving up the defense, but then adjustments will come and he will make throws he shouldn't, and that's when the turnovers happen.

This is the kind of nonsense that just makes me gag. It's like you have never watched NFL football before. This is not the reality of the NFL. Every game is a challenge. It is a week to week league where anything can happen. Any team can beat any other. It has been proven time and time again.

Wait, what? McDermott doesn't get credit for wins. Only Josh Allen does. We only count his losses.

Nobody makes a win feel as terrible as a Bills fan can.
