  1. Teams draft according to need. They just do. It should be pretty obvious that the teams who draft a lot of offense are the ones who are weak there. Same with the defense. So, if a team isn't drafting a lot of one position, either they are good there or they don't see the value. I agree with you for the most part. It seems there is an inverse correlation. For instance, the Bills have one of the best olines in the league and have for the past couple of years. Should they be drafting oline high? Obviously not. The Bills will plummet in OL draft capital rankings in this current stretch of years. This doesn't mean they don't value the offensive line.
  2. Palmer is an excellent route runner and excellent against man coverage. He separates. Also, Cooper missed games with injury last year. The offense still performed well without him. Shakir was out against the Texans, and it was clear that HE was the one the offense couldn't operate without. Are we really saying that a 4th or 5th round rookie WR is the difference between the Bills having a successful offense or not? I think they proved last year that they can make things work. We do need investment at receiver, but the defense was far more urgent. You can't upgrade everywhere every offseason.
  3. I'd say Patriots, Jets, Browns, Titans, Raiders, Falcons, and Panthers. There are a few other candidates as well, but the ones I listed I think are easily worse.
  4. A-. My only critique is that they could have traded up more and picked fewer players late. We had 9 draft picks and I doubt they will all make the roster. Beane nailed the first three picks, and those are the important ones.
  5. It was a focus last year. They spent money in free agency, drafted one high, and traded for a big name.
  6. Because you have a QB like Allen 😆 You answered your own question.
  7. It is obvious. Safety.
  8. You can't upgrade everything every offseason. Resources are limited. You have to pick and choose what to focus on. This year, WR was not a focus. It doesn't mean that the Bills don't know the WR room could use improvement.
  9. Knox is an athletic pass catching TE. You are absolutely wrong about that. He is only an ok blocker. He has an RAS of 9.25. He has elite speed and explosiveness for a TE and only ok size. Yeah, Kincaid is a little lighter and faster, but they are in the exact same mold as athletic pass catching TE's.
  10. Yeah, that's their job! Why would they do something to not make money?
  11. He was the best blocking TE in the draft and we needed a TE 3. Slam dunk pick in the 5th round. He will make the roster. For those wanting a WR, who was available? ALL of the rosterable ones were gone. Knox is an athletic pass catching TE. Hawes is a blocker. Hawes is Lee Smith 2.0.
  12. Pretty poor decision to do that. At least it was against a rich kid who has had everything handed to him his entire life. Still not nice, but it would be worse if it was a normal kid just hoping to get drafted. But the world goes on. This is not a serious thing in the grand scheme of things.
  13. There isn't room for another RB on the roster. So, unless Cook is traded, they are set. I'm sure they will bring in some camp bodies if they need any.
  14. Wow. He seems like a real douche. Pardon my language, but I couldn't think of a single other way to describe him.
  15. I'm sure they were prepared to take a DT if the board fell a certain way, like if there was a run on corner before their pick. But I'm sure they were prepared to pivot depending on any number of scenarios.
  16. Need a 1 tech. A WR would be good. Maybe a TE. Interior offensive line. Linebacker. Safety. Really just any player that they like who they think can make the team or practice squad for the later round guys. But they need a 1 tech for sure.
  17. Get a DT and an edge rusher.
  18. The Bills were TERRIBLE at defending the quick passing game last year. Everyone was killing us with it. This guy should help and he should be able to jump routes.
  19. Wait, that is bad, right? Wouldn't you want low yards per coverage snap allowed?
  20. Tre would be a terrible safety. Safeties are supposed to be good at playing the run and tackling. Tre sucks at that.
  21. They added speed with Elam. So your wish should have already been granted!
  22. Oh, that's the guy. Well, I'm sure the Bills will pass on him.
