This is huge news! If they plan to use Nate as a human pinata, that means the defense will all be wearing blind folds. I would HAVE to imagine we can work the ball down the field against a team of blind-folded players. 

Maybe he's a good ra-ra guy, but can anyone name a SINGLE play where DiMarco did anything notable in a game? I've been massively underwhelmed by him. Expected a lot more impact last year (actually ANY impact), and I honestly never saw a single play where I said, "Wow, nice DiMarco." And now he's a captain? I would think a captain would have to have some respect on the field too.

OK, Yes... give AJ/team credit for the 4th qtr (despite 3 putrid qtrs before that)... and remember this legendary stuff happened against 11 Bears who will not be Bears in 5 days. 1st team is still a massive issue.

I was feeling 8-8 after Carolina. Then, we still played 3 more pre-season games. They look beyond terrible. The first half vs Bengals was foreshadowing. OL is horrendous. Doesn't matter who they keep... don't have 5 starting caliber. Defense doesn't look good, and that's what we were all counting on. No pass rush, limited LB help, Davis at CB is not giving confidence. Only hope is.... McCoy, Dawkins, Murphy have not played. If healthy, do they make a big enough difference? Probably not enough. Only other hope is that coaches are holding SO much back that they are strategically holding out for week 1. I really liked the offensive attack vs Car. Maybe that's their plan for season and wanted to test it week 1 in pre-season then lay off it the rest of pre-season to not tip their hand. As it looks now though, I voted for 3-4 wins above.

Yes. AJ and a 1st to Oak for Mack. Gruden needs a backup (surprisingly, EJ is not cutting it)

Gruden was complaining that his backup QB is NOT currently on the roster (hates EJ and the other guy). How about AJ and next year's 1st? That works for me and might be intriguing for them.

Croom, Lee, O'Leary/Logan... 3 or 4 guys. Wasn't saying keep Logan over Clay. One small factor for Logan is I guess he could be emergency QB if ever needed, especially if they only kept 2 QBs. I'm just really down on Clay when I see him playing soft. He's paid A LOT. Need to see 100% effort out of him.

We need to trade Clay right now. I wouldn't want Nick or Logan cut. Croom looks like the real deal too. Clay is expendable. He plays like Mario Williams 50% of the time anyway. I don't care if he's traded for a crap-shoot OL or a 6th round pick. Addition by Subtraction...

I'd trade him. I'd trade Clay. I'd even trade McCoy. If can't get OL help this year through the trades, start stock-piling draft picks. OL is a disaster. This year is gonna be rough, start planning for next year.

Totally agree. O-Line was fools gold-ish last year. Tyrod made them look better than they were. Was my #1 concern going into the year (actually, every year for the last 20). Peterman deserves the start. I agree. He's a gamer, has the poise, and throws a nice ball. Not so sure about the D anymore. Davis looked old. D-Line pressure was non-existent. WTF. Clay can go away as far as I'm concerned. Looks good 20% of the time. We need 100% players. Might be time to put the best blocking TE in to help block every play, and/or along with FB. Only leaves 3/4 guys to make plays, but the alternative is terrible. All 3 games, our 2nd team looks better than their 2nd team... depth isn't a problem. First team is.

Lackluster attitude to begin with. Watch any interview. I thought his play might inspire confidence.... but no.

I wanna like AJ as maybe the bridge or backup, but it's pretty obvious he doesn't have the passion and "will not be denied" attitude.
