  1. Who cares? Pat's run is over! We have to start thinking differently about them. Kiss my ass, there's a new sheriff in town.
  2. Crazy contact, but what a success story for him. Has any other player gone from being cut (essentially), to a backup, to a starter, to getting a mammoth contact the next year?
  3. Hmmm. I didn't see that stipulation. If true, then that's fine too. Get an additional big ugly and a extra WR or RB out there.
  4. "If/when NFL moves to 17 games, each team receives a bye week in place of a fourth preseason game"
  5. ""Active game-day rosters increased from 46 to 48 players" Like this! We could have used that last year (Duke and Yeldon could have been active all year)
  6. 3 pre-season games is just right. First one the team gets their feet wet. Starters play the first half of game 2. Game 3 the bubble players fight it out. Always hated the fear of injury with 4 games.
  7. Someone start a gofundme. We all put $8.88 in there.
  8. I sat in a chair yesterday for about an hour looking through a window watching it rain outside. This is day 2. I'm not gonna make it. Please keep football on schedule.
  9. Looks like we're rolling with what we've got at TE. You could definitely do worse than: Knox, Kroft, Croom, Smith, Sweeney... although one of these guys might get cut. Solid "B" imo
  10. K-gun Stampede Bruce Smith (greatest bill ever)
  11. I'm fine either way. I'd prefer they pay him (reasonably), but won't cry if another team wants to overpay. Last year he looked really good though.
  12. He's 33 and production has trended down for years...
  13. Good luck to him. Hopefully he won't have to talk to this dufus...
  14. He's probably somewhere around the 250th best receiver option (32 teams X ~7 WRS, plus practice squad WRs). And he's going against CBs in the XFL who are also around the 250th best. Different ballgame.
  15. I am the OP, and you ignored my other examples also (Phillips & snaking draft picks for cast offs - in particular Teller and Bodine (getting the better of NE on that too)). Anyway, not sure what the problem is. I guess you don't like the use of the word shrewd. Whatever.
  16. Giving Duke a second chance from CFL is a "move". McKenzie is cheap and was a smart "move" bringing him in as depth and speed. Taking advantage of the international rule for Wade was a clever "move" (not counting against roster). 4 new starters on the O-Line isn't an overhaul? Maybe it's not perfect yet, but that's an overhaul to me.
  17. Went to Bills/Giants HOF game in 2014. Left at halftime. Terrible. Canton is a weird ass town too.
  18. I have no idea how it would ever be a safety. It's either a TD or touchback.
  19. Right, he "obviously intended" to drop it after crossing the line. No
  20. I have a question for everyone who says he was "obviously" giving himself up. (I know it wasn't), but what if it was a trick play by Houston... and they had another player come around and scoop up the ball he threw to the ground and ran it back (some distance or the whole way), because our KO team stopped playing. If that happened, do you think they still would have called the ball dead for a touchback? Rules are rules. He didn't follow protocol. Call should have stood as on field.
  21. 91. Love the culture and expectation of winning. Many shrewd moves (Phillips, McKenzie, Duke, Wade, overhauling OL, snaking draft picks for cast offs) Great drafts! (young, cheap TALENT) But some clunkers too (Benjamin, Vontae, overpaying Star, pursuing AB, etc) Overall, love riding the upward trend with this team. Next 5+ years look VERY promising!
  22. Would rather have a seasoned vet who knows what he's doing than a rookie out there. They can still draft one and have him develop this year behind the vet CBs.
