Nice article. Combo of factors for sure. A few thoughts... 1) Like many on this board, I haven't really valued Star all that much the last couple of years. But, maybe I've been wrong and his lack of stats didn't matter, that he really was/is a cog that helps the other 10.. chewing up space and blockers. 2) Hughes just can't seem to do it anymore like he used to. Hurts to say that, but it's not there. 3) We need to get bigger and stronger. As you mentioned, getting blown off the ball 5 yards sometimes is unacceptable and unsustainable. 4) Scheme. What do I know... but I do know I saw holes 10 feet wide vs KC. How does that happen? 5) Milano is a difference-maker. Amazing how 1 guy changes the whole vibe on defense. 6) Have Hyde/Poyer peaked and/or on their way down? 7) Could use me some Lorax right now. 8 ) Would welcome a trade for a very large, mean and nasty Interior DL. Home Thurs Night game vs Dallas. Won for 58 minutes and blew it in the most impossible way in front of an awesome home crowd going nuts. Flushed my Bills hat down the hotel toilet that night. It didn't get all the way down but it was stuffed in the hole but good, right where it should have been.

First half, fine with playing small ball to limit kc offense, but waited way too long to open it up! Never went 4 wide. Looked like a high school game. Brown with 1 att for 0 catches. Run D was pathetic. Lame

A positive way to look at it... If the refs didn't call the PI on Rams at end of game (which was a very questionable call), Bills would have lost, then we would have needed to beat Tenn to get to 4-1. ...Well, the Bills are 4-1, so no harm done. He catches the ball cleanly and confidently, and then just GOES... no delay or dancing around with indecision. One, maybe two cuts max. That's how you maximize yardage.

Fair point, my friend. I just get extra worked up when I feel we're getting screwed. Too many BS calls the last 20 years. That one seemed way over the top.
