What can Texans expect for Watson now?
BuffaloBillies replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just think, 15 months ago they had Watson, Hopkins, and JJ Watt and made a run in the playoffs. Everything was going great. Now, just a gigantic cluster**** of a team. -

article on Zack Moss in The Athletic
BuffaloBillies replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll preface by saying that I too am not a big Singletary guy either, and prefer Moss all day. But maybe we are a little rough on him. To me, the most important stat for an RB is Avg Yards Per Rush. Here is the ranking from 2020 (at least 100 carries). I took out QBs. (may have to click on image to zoom) So both are a little below "middle of the pack" in YPR (4.4, 4.3) But look at some of the players they are equal to or better than last year. James Conner (4.3) Kareem Hunt (4.2) Ezekiel Elliot (4.0) Josh Jacobs (3.9) Joe Mixon (3.6) I bet everyone on this board would say they would take any one of these 5 guys over Singletary in a heartbeat. But in 2020, Singletary outperformed them on this key stat. I think what makes us "think" Devin can't cut it, is because he gets so few attempts than the guys listed here. These 5 guys get the ball 20-25 times a game, every game. So they end up with ~100 yards rushing, 1,000 on season, so their avg doesn't look so bad. If we handed to Singletary 20-25 times, he'd probably end up with ~100 too. But since he gets 10 carries, his overall game stats look weaker. During this post, I've kind of talked myself into thinking, maybe it wouldn't be the worst if the RB position was NOT addressed this off-season... using FAs/draft on other positions of need. I don't think the RB position is as bad off as most people think. And since we're now pass-first offense... maybe he's adequate. 4.4 yards per carry is not bad. Tried editing out the bottom of my previous post. It wont save the edit for some reason... just ignore the bottom part. End of post is "not bad" -
Did you play football, at any level?
BuffaloBillies replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Played TE/DE on Varsity in HS. I was only 180 lbs. Broken hand half way through the first season. We used to crush our heads in practice and games all the time. Would get my "bell wrung" often (likely mini concussions) Have back problems to this day and blame football for it. I think that downward impact did something to my spine. My kid stopped playing after 6th grade. I'm glad he did. -

Priority #1: Large, angry men for the OL and DL
BuffaloBillies replied to TheFunPolice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You forgot "ugly". I like 'em large, angry and ugly. The uglier the better. -
I would guess that being in every play you really get to learn of your opponent's tendency and moves (guy right in front of you). He fools you once early in the game, but now you know what to look for and wont let it happen again type of thing. And, they are starters because they are supposedly better than their backup. Even if tired, a better player at 90% may still be better than their sub at 100%.

Let's put how far we've come into perspective...
BuffaloBillies replied to warrior9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every playoff team except 1 ends the year on a loss. Think of March Madness... 65 teams (with play-in games) end the year on a loss. Hurts more that Bills final game was not played well... but think what this board would be like if they lost in first round to Colts (which was quite close). They won lots of big games this year (Balt, Ind, Sea, LAR, SF, Pit, NE x2). It was a great year... just have to deal with a loss at the end like every other playoff team except 1. -
Was that our easiest playoff loss to take?
BuffaloBillies replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In my mind I only gave us about a 30% chance to win. Then we score the first 9 points and I'm thinking... we have a great chance to win now. But once a wheel starting falling off, I figured all 4 would come off soon - and they did. So I ended up right where I started. Not so much disappointed in the loss... more the way we were helpless out there. For instance, AZ was a heartbreaking loss... but at least the Bills played a great game. I'd take the AZ loss over the KC loss. -
My list exactly. Although I would politely ask the others to leave.

Cant waste plays in the red zone. The dumb 1st, 2nd down plays haunt: - handing off to Dingletary for 0 gain - slow-developing roll out right (on short side of the field) Needs to be quick strikes (slants) and McKenzie/Josh runs.

Anyone on this board ever have turf toe? It's obviously painful and takes forever to heal. I'm wondering if (when) he gets shots in it to numb it throughout the game, if that makes him able to use/ push off with that foot normally. I'm guessing he's been practicing this week with the shots to realize what It's going to feel like and what limitations he has. Probably a strange sensation having that part of the foot numb... but how debilitating is that?
