McD benched TT for NP after the Saints game. He obviously didn't do this for a random reason, it was because he felt NP was ready and wanted to move on from TT who has maxed out as an NFL starting QB. Obviously it backfired in spectacular fashion which is why he went back to TT. But still think had NP played a better game he would have stuck as the starter, even with 2 or 3 INT's probably wouldn't have went back to TT. You can argue that NP might have stayed the starter after the Colts game as well if not for getting hurt.

White pff rookie of the year

No surprise here, people can hype Lattimore all they want but I still maintain that White is far more valuable to this team than Lattimore has been to the Saints. -
Playoff QB’s Ranked - Pete Prisco - CBS Sports

Bortles isn't nearly as bad as some folks think. He's certainly not an elite franchise QB, but you have to give a lot of credit to St. Doug and Nate Hackett for salvaging his career even if he doesn't factor into the long term plans for the jags. But I think in the end the reason he's rated about Taylor is he's a true pocket QB whose capable of some very big days passing the football. I believe the Jags are 8-0 when he doesn't turn the ball over this year. But on the flipside they are very beatable when he turns it over. -
Regardless of where you stand on TT, there's no way this team is keeping him and paying him $18 million next year unless he leads this team to a SB win. And I still think the only reason he's even playing right now because of what happened with NP against both the Chargers and Colts.

Albert Breer: McDermott has Bills pointing up

He's up there, but Gase is a true pioneer and certainly has led the charge for young, aggressive offensive minded coaching in this league. -
Jacks-Ville # 1 rush team in NFL

As of today I still believe St. Doug is a great coach and living up to the young Bills Parcells comparisons. We may or may not regret letting him go depending on what happens with McD the next few years. And technically he did get the Jags back to the playoffs before the Bills since they clinched their spot with 2 weeks left in the regular season. Either way what's done is done and there is no turning back. -
Hard to see any scenario in which the Pats aren't winning it all again this year. NFC however is truly tough to handicap. As much I as love what the Vikings have done and want to pick them to represent the NFC, not a believe in Case Keenum when it matters most. Philly would probably be the favorite with Wentz but is probably one and done now. As for the rest of the field, don't rule out the Falcons making a deep run again if they get past the upstart Rams in the 1st round. But if I had to pick today, I think the Saints are one of the most balanced teams in the NFL and will probably face the Pats in the SB.

Dolphins were a sexy SB pick this year by a lot of pundits. And some of my sources that are well connected to league insiders also felt they could be a championship contender this season. In fact Adam Gase is widely considered the brightest young offensive mind in the league, and hard to argue considering what's he's done in Miami. Either way we can only hope that McD is truly the real deal because the AFC East is loaded with talented coaching staffs from top to bottom. -

I'm very concerned about this matchup especially going against a superior HC in St. Doug, but I have a gut feeling the Bills will find a way to keep this feel good story alive one more week. -
While I agree in theory, White single handedly won games for the Bills this year. Lattimore made a major impact for the Saints defensively but they won games this year primarily with their offense which has always been the case, only difference is instead of Brees having to put up 300+ yards every game they did it with a very dynamic rushing offense.

Dolphins are a very talented team across the board at just about every position, and they certainly weren't a mirage last year. Also unlike the Bills this year they didn't need help to clinch a playoff spot winning 9 of their final 11 games to finish the season. Also you can argue the Bills got into the playoffs this year for the same reason, Dolphins handed them two games. Either way the crux of my argument remains, the Bills could easily disappoint next season just like Miami did this year after ending a playoff drought with a new regime and first year head coach. -
McCoy backup, why so thin at RB?
SaviorPeterman replied to icw70's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm hoping that Beane can find a guy like Kenyan Drake in the draft this year. Because even if McCoy is back next season we need to start thinking about the future of the RB position to compliment NP as we presumably shift to a pass first offense. -
AFC East is going be the toughest division in the NFL next year even if the Patriots decline. And every team has big money to spend in the offseason to bolster their rosters. Beane is going to have to be very strategic to counter moves made by the Jets and Dolphins who are no doubt ready to back up the Brinks truck for key FA's.

Hard not to be excited, this team should have quite the influx of young talent over the next few years. And you are right about guys like Hyde helping recruit key FA's that normally would have no interest in Buffalo even if big money is potentially being thrown their way. -
Rod Watson on the Bills

Seems like this cat is just trolling and looking for attention making an absurd statement like this knowing he's going to get flamed given the circumstances. -

Yes I had the Dolphins going 12-4 this year and making the AFC championship game (losing against the Pats). I was wrong obviously (because they lost their starting QB in preseason) but there are many other predictions out there from pundits having them in the playoffs. Many experts also predicted teams like Den, Oak and TB as SB caliber teams which is why many felt the Bills had little chance this year given the schedule on paper. This is true, just like all the 3-13 predictions for the Bills this year. -

SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like I said before, the Dolphins should be a cautionary tale for all Bills fans heading into 2018. They were a very good team last year (much better than this years Bills team) and were expected to be a SB contender this year by most experts (including myself). But a season ending injury to their franchise QB and other suspensions/injuries heading into the 2017 campaign pretty much derailed their season. Although you still have to give Gase a lot of credit for getting them off to a 4-2 start even if it was a mirage in hindsight. -
Tannenhill is a very underrated franchise QB and basically the reason why the Dolphins missed the playoffs this year. Still think they would have been a legit SB contender if he didn't get hurt and Bills probably don't make the playoffs if that was the case. AFCE is shaping up to be a very strong division in 2018.
-
No Jets fans should have a problem with this considering what Bowles did with a team that most expected to be in the running for 0-16 like the Browns did this year. And unfortunately for the Bills and rest of the division, if they secure a franchise QB in the draft they could have a very quick turnaround and be back in the playoff conversation next year.

Regardless of what happens in the playoffs, going to be a lot of pressure on McD/Beane to have a good offseason and keep the momentum running full steam ahead. And even though it's very realistic this team could take a step backwards this year like the Dolphins, expectations will be sky high in Buffalo heading into the 2018 season. -
How many Bills fans will be in Jacksonville?

I really wish I could go but unfortunately I have prior commitments with high level corporate meetings first thing Monday morning so can't be there.
