  1. I certainly am. Jerry Sullivan has done yeoman's work for years covering this team and he's not afraid to tell it is and not going to give credit unless this team deserves it.
  2. ESPN is a joke and they're ratings will continue to plummet given their obsession with political correctness and related garbage nobody cares about.
  3. Not good only one week into the season and this type of injury will certainly linger... http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Quick-Hits-McCoy-sits-out-Friday-practice/5c0d5f44-6daa-47df-b98f-ad5c9c1005b9
  4. It's the title of the article from Rochester D&C hence the thread title. And why would Dareus care if he plays 50% of the snaps each game when's he's collecting a ridiculous payday and don't have to give max effort?
  5. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/2017/09/13/marcell-dareus-playing-time-not-issue-bills-coach-sean-mcdermott/661670001/
  6. Even when the Bills dominated the Colts and healthy Andrew Luck in Rex Ryan's debut a few years ago I wasn't fooled. Also anybody remember 2003 when we shut out the Patriots 31-0? How about 2008 and 2011? Barely beating a ragged Jets roster is just that...and pretty sure just about every team on our schedule this year has the Bills game circled as a win,
  7. Pretty sure we have until week 10 to cut the players needed to get the comp pick. And if we are out of the playoff picture by then pretty sure that will happen.
  8. We won't be able to run the ball like we did against the Jets so I can definitely see this type of score. And even if the Bills were to steal this game it would be one of those very ugly 13-10 type games.
  9. Exactly, this team could go 6-0 and it would mean very little to most astute fans that have paid attention the last 17 years. It's a 16 game season and I want a team that plays their best football in Nov/Dec/Jan, not Sept/Oct. But given the Bills schedule down the stretch they really do need to stack some wins early on assuming they aren't going to be terrible throughout.
  10. Atlanta certainly got a scare in Chicago but they won and I suspect they will start looking a lot better in the coming weeks and certainly by the time we play them. And the Panthers also took care of business against a 49ers team that many believe will be in the running for the #1 overall pick next year alongside the Jets. But they did win by 20 points coming all the way across country which was certainly more impressive than our 9 point victory at home against the Jets especially factoring in Newton playing a Tyrod Taylor type of game or worse.
  11. And it was week one in the NFL where you can never truly gauge a team and project the rest of their season (See patriots/chiefs). I still think we'll know who this team really is after the next three games because most pundits expect us to be 1-3 after that stretch would also project another non playoff/losing season.
  12. It would be nice but I see ZERO chance of winning the Falcons game. Broncos is best chance given home field and if we are going to steal one we should lose it would be this week in Carolina even though I still don't like the chances.
  13. We are thin at most positions on this team hence why most folks don't think this team is going to win many games this year especially once injuries start to happen to starters. I just hope that McDermott and Beane realize in the long run you can't go very far in this league with a top heavy roster and you need true depth and guys that can actually play more than special teams.
  14. Ducasse has no business on an NFL roster and I'm still baffled why Jordan Mills is starting for this team.
  15. Sadly it's true because nobody will ever take this team seriously until they end the 17 year drought. Even if this team were to start 4-0 or 6-1 nobody outside of the Bills fanbase is going to care unless they sustain it through a 16 game season and get into the tourney.
  16. Bills will have a real shot in this game if they can play aggressively and take an early lead on the Panthers and force Newton to throw the ball more times than the Panthers want to give his current condition. Also no excuse to not bring tons of pressure and blitzes compared to the Jets game but like most coaches in years past with this team something tells me McDermott and Frasier will insist on getting pressure from just the front four.
  17. Bills need to win 2 of the next 3 games before there is any real movement in the national power rankings and that's probably not going to happen. Best case is they find a way to upset the Broncos at home and have respectable losses at CAR & ATL.
  18. I'm not because it's true at least for the time being. Jets are widely considered the worst team in the league even by their fans and local media. And if we somehow go to Carolina and beat the Panthers the national pundits will say 'Newton isn't close to 100% and/or McDermott and Beane had the edge because they know the Panthers so well' Bills need to prove they are for real and you do that by beating good teams on your schedule not bottom feeders.
  19. I don't think the Bills can win this game because I still believe this is a 4 or 5 win team that's going to struggle mightily on the road this year regardless of the level of competition. I'm not sure if the Panthers are back to being a championship contender yet, but even if they are a .500 type of team that should be enough against the Bills.
  20. While this may prove to be true assuming this team isn't as bad as most think, you aren't going to truly contend with the elite teams in this league or win playoffs games without a QB that can put up yards and score through the air. And even with the Pats and Brady possibly on the downswing, it took a career game from Alex Smith to beat them. Certainly don't see Taylor being able to do that especially with this WR depth chart.
  21. I think our current WR depth chart is as good as it's going to get aside from any dumpster diving and swapping out PS guys throughout the year. I have to believe that WR will be among the top of offseason priorities and we'll draft at least one with one of our 4 picks in the 1st/2nd rounds.
  22. I've always believed these type of scenarios are overblown. Yes McDermott and Beane know the Panthers players, coaches, etc but it doesn't mean they are going to take an inferior roster into Carolina and win because of that. Conversely Ron Rivera, Cam Newton and most of the current offensive depth chart knows McDermott's defense and how to play against it. If we do win this game it will simply be because the Bills are better and expected and the Panthers aren't as good as expected.
  23. Hill was a massive bust for the Jets and a Rex Ryan pick, can't imagine why we are even diving this far into the dumpster unless we are truly concerned with the WR depth chart.
  24. Interesting move and essentially another Gerald Hodges type of player.
  25. Dareus is always going to be under the microscope given the size of his contract and his history in Buffalo. And while nobody should overreact either way in terms of his play against the Jets in a victory, it's when we lose and lose big he'll be under a much bigger microscope. Something tells me this latest 'lingering hip injury' is going to be an excuse for what supporters he has left in Buffalo if he does flame out again this year. He has a golden opportunity this week against an elite QB who isn't 100% to make some noise though.
