He's not regardless of what the stats say. He sure did make a few great throws yesterday but for the most part he's been the same exactly player we've seen the last few years in that he sucks in more games that he actually plays decent in. Only credit I give him is doing what he can with certainly the worst WR corps he's had during his 3 year run here and now with Matthews sidelined not going to get any easier in the coming weeks unless we make a big time move/trade. At some point though the guy is going to have to win a game when we are behind and the defense isn't doing it's part and he's already failed once this year in Carolina.

Not a good comparison since that team was one and done in the playoffs and that was the only playoff season Dick 'The Stiff' Jarauon had. I think in recent history though this team is on par with the 2004 Bills, at least defensively. But Bledsoe and the offense wasn't that great that season so could be comparable to this years unit.

I'm not a 'professional Taylor hater, but it's not like he's the reason we are 3-1 right now. We are 3-1 because of the defense, ST and coaching. And Taylor for the most part is playing like he has the last few years but now has a significantly better defense to compensate for his (still) glaring flaws. The real test comes with Taylor in crucial Nov/Dec games, and if this team should make the playoffs does anybody really believe he's going to win games there and get the Bills to a SB??

This style of winning is not sustainable!
SaviorPeterman replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In all seriousness, some 'experts' and skeptics will still say the Bills are a smoke and mirrors type of team, and on offense that's largely true since we aren't running the ball as well as the last few years and still have a very shaky QB situation with no true gamebreakers for Taylor to work with outside of Clay who has been the main passing game focus. Personally I'm still tempering my expectations and need to see how this team handles success and the latest injury rash which will no doubt impact this team in one form or another. -
Humber is no superstar but will be interesting to see how the Bills handles this loss, among other current injury issues. Easy to say 'next man up' but it's no secret this team is not loaded with depth and sticking in a mid round draft pick rookie doesn't inspire confidence especially with some other loaded offensive teams coming up the schedule.

Dareus played today, right?
SaviorPeterman replied to McNubbins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure what the deal is with him but if he's not 100% might as well just sit him next week with the bye week coming up so he can get extended time off. Pretty sure that will also be the the plan with Glenn and anybody else that isn't right health wise. -
Don't go too crazy just yet....
SaviorPeterman replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree 100% and I would caution all Bills fans not to get too amped up just yet because the way this team is built we are still a few injuries away from everything changing instantaneously . So far we've weathered the storm but we could be without a bunch of key players next week against the Bengals especially if this coaching staff don't want to take any chances and get guys healthy with the bye week coming. Bengals game does concern me more than a little bit because this team might go in there with a big head now that they just won such a huge road game and the Bengals have looked pretty good since they dumped their OC a few weeks ago. -
This is what makes me think the bills could be for real, the fact we have 3 wins against teams that are all 2-2 or better. And after watching the Panthers go to NE and win, we were only a few plays away from taking that one too. Still a long way to go but until this team truly proves they are legit and makes the playoffs, the memories of 2008, 2011, etc loom large.

Playing with Hauschka Money
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So nice to have a real FG kicker again and not waste multiple roster spots on a separate 'kickoff specialist'. -
I really don't understand this line, yes it's another road game but the reality is the Bengals aren't that good. I will say this though, they have looked a lot better since firing their OC with a blown OT loss at GB and a dominating win against the Browns. So I guess Vegas must figure they are going to have some juice returning home but I still like the Bills in this game especially since we beat them last year in Cincy with a much worse team against probably a better Bengals squad. Regardless Bills need to understand this is a week to week league and not have a let down so it will be yet another test to see how this coaching staff prepares this team who might be without a handful of key guys on both sides of the ball due to injuries.

I'm Surprised by Zay Jones' Slow Start
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Matthews is out next week and beyond it's time for Jones to start doing something. Can't rely on the defense to keep this up every week because even the greatest defense have bad games at some point. -
EJ Manuel in for the raiders...
SaviorPeterman replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have no problem with him compared to some other former Bills QB's, but we had no business drafting him in the 1st round and it was the icing on the cake for Buddy Nix who I still think might be the worst GM in franchise history. -
Sean "Big Steel Balls" McDermott
SaviorPeterman replied to Gavin in Va Beach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure I would say he has steel balls since he decided to kick a field goal after a 10 minute drive on the Falcons 1 yard line and not trusting his team to get into the endzone. Right now though still not sure I'm in love with some of McD's coaching but he is 3-1 and looks like this team might seriously be in the playoff chase come December. -
EJ Manuel in for the raiders...
SaviorPeterman replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At least he threw it up and gave his receiver a chance to make the plays but the Raiders better hope that Carr isn't out long term again or their season is toast. -
All jokes aside, who knows what would have happened on that final drive if Ryan had Jones and Sanu to work with. A win is a win though and about time the Bills catch some breaks.

Ultra conservative play calling at the end
SaviorPeterman replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would have been a much bigger issue if the Falcons came back and won, and they nearly did even without their top two wideouts. -
Does it feel different NOW? (#3)
SaviorPeterman replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll say maybe simply because we have beat three teams that are .500 or better (yes including the Jets who all of a sudden look much better these last few weeks). But again, it's not what you do in the Sept/Oct that matters, it's what you do when the stakes are higher and the pretenders are separated from the contenders come Nov/Dec/Jan. Only real concern at this point is what adjustments this team makes now that we are seeing more injuries settle in. -
Opposing QB's continue to have career days against the Pats defense, don't think that is by accident and if they are truly this bad we very well might beat them once this year even though you have to think they'll figure things out and get somewhat better by the time we play them later this year.

Taylor -- 106.7 rating today
SaviorPeterman replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know, on one hand I still don't think that Taylor is the (long term) answer in Buffalo. But he does have some unique ability that most other NFL QB's simply don't have. Just wish the guy could hit some of these of the wide open throws that he seems to wildly overthrow. Almost like he is shell shocked when guys are so open and overthinks things. -
Stephon Gilmore is Trending
SaviorPeterman replied to Max Fischer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I honestly thought this guy was going to go to the Pats and look like the next Revis, but instead he's looking like Stephon Gilmore. The same average and overrated player he was in Buffalo. -
Bills vs. Falcons Postgame
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great win and might be time to rethink this team especially since they appear to be good enough to overcome mistakes, penalties, questionable coaching, etc. Only concern at this point is the injuries are starting to mount, can't see the defense sustaining this if guys like Lawson, Humber and Gaines are out for a significant amount of time. -
Gameday Thread 2nd Half Bills@ Falcons

I mean seriously we needed one yard and fancy ourselves a run first team but instead decided to play Jauronball? -
Gameday Thread 2nd Half Bills@ Falcons
SaviorPeterman replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll never understand why this team always tries to 'play not to lose' vs 'play to win' when they are hanging with a better team, home or on the road. McD should know how good the Falcons are even without some of their best weapons and now we are in a situation in which we have to rely on Taylor to lead this team down the field again in the 4th quarter.
