Cousins will probably be the cream of the crop in terms of possible FA options next year. But have to believe both Rivers and Eli Manning will be available assuming they are willing to be traded or play for another team at this stage of their career. Of course the bills could simply play Peterman now and find out if he's the guy, and speaking of Cousins some scouting reports compared Peterman to him before he was drafted and Cousins was also a mid round pick.

NFL.com: Gregg Rosenthal's QB Index
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is what all the critics have always maintained. It's Trent Edwards ball so to speak and that's what Taylor is if you took away his mobility. And I get that we are lacking weapons in the passing game but sometimes throwing the ball downfield can simply make things happen (i.e. pass interference) and open up the offense. Either way something needs to change in a hurry or we have yet to see this offense truly hit rock bottom. -
McBrothers "Silent Tank" occurring?
SaviorPeterman replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's my theory with Beane/McD, I truly believe that when they made the offseason moves they did (specifically trading guys like Watkins) they did so assuming this team would not be good enough this year to make the playoffs. I don't believe they thought they would be terrible because this team certainly isn't, but they were banking on a 'transition' season in which the team would be competitive and ultimately fall short of the playoffs before they enter a true rebuild mode next year. However fast forward to where we currently stand after 5 games (1st place in the AFCE) and looking around at the rest of the conference they probably do very well believe they have a team that can make the playoffs this year which is why I do believe they are probably trying to make some marginal moves to improve the roster (i.e. they wanted to add Adrian Peterson) but they certainly aren't going to deviate from their process and trade valuable assets they stockpiled for next years draft to land a player on a rental for the rest of the year. Long story short, don't be surprised if nothing happens during the next few weeks in terms of adding outside help, but if it does it will be marginal in terms of dumpster diving for somebody on the street or making a trade for a late round pick to get another teams depth WR, oline, etc. -
Donald Jones on bringing in new receivers....

John Murphy is nothing more than another Russ Brandon lapdog and on OBD's payroll to spread the Bills koolaid and company line. -
Tom Brady has sprain to non-throwing shoulder
SaviorPeterman replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Guarantee this is nothing and he'll come out and throw for 350 yards and 4 TD's against the Jets on Sunday just watch. -
I don't think loosing 'booby' dixon or Felton has had anything to do with the current offensive struggles. It's a combination of many factors including new coaches/scheme, McCoy possibly slowing down, No QB or passing game that challenges defenses, etc. And the more I think about it this is probably what McD and Beane expected, but they didn't expect the defense to be this good which is why they are now in a tough spot between figuring out if this team is truly rebuilding or good enough to make a push for a wildcard spot.

That would probably be the most extreme worst case scenario at this point, but I do think we probably finish anywhere between 6-10 to 8-8 when it's all said and done. The next few game are key because we have been good at home but I think both the Bucs and Raiders (with Carr) are primed to explode offensively and make respective strong runs this year and I don't think we can win these games unless we magically figure out how to move the ball and score points. So don't be surprised if we are sitting at 3-4 very soon heading into the Jets game.

Kyle Williams' play in 2017
SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At least so far, I'm not sure this is one of Williams better seasons but I do believe this is his if final year in Buffalo especially if this latest fast start fizzles out and we aren't in the playoffs again which at this point I believe is where things are heading. Just sad that we could never make the playoffs at least once during his great career here in Buffalo but that's how bad the last 17 years have truly been. -
I'm guessing no especially since he's been out of the league since the 2015 season and was basically averaging 500 yards from his last 3 NFL seasons, all of which he didn't even play the entire season due to injury.

All pro sports coaches have egos, it comes with the territory given their positions of power. And when a team is winning nobody really cares. But the issue (at least for Bills fans in recent years) is finding guys with both egos and the ability to actually know what they are doing and at least in recent years that wasn't certainly wasn't the case with good old Rex despite all his spouting off at the mouth. The jury is still out on McD but if this season does crash and burn and we finish .500 or worse it will certainly magnify the coaching and personnel decisions this team made heading into the season and the belief we were going to be able to win with glaring deficiencies and no depth to speak of at certain positions (i.e. WR, Oline). Also despite all the draft picks we have next year, we could be in a true rebuilding situation once all the veterans are gone like Taylor, Kyle Williams, McCoy, etc.

Bills reportedly interested in acquiring another RB
SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We do need another RB because Tolbert is wasting carries and space. Not saying I want to cut him but we need another weapon in the backfield behind McCoy. But I'd still take another WR, Oline, TE, LB, etc first. -
How Bills Treat This Bye Week Will Show Their Cards
SaviorPeterman replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd love to believe some moves are the works but I'm guessing you're right based on how this new regime seems to think. Because if anything the thinking right now at OBD is probably 'well if we can play .500 football for a month or so while these guys are out, we can likely make a push late in the season when they are all presumably healthy'. There are multiple problems with this thinking though most notably by the time all these guys come back and are back into the swing of things the playoffs will likely be out of reach especially with 2nd half games against the Chiefs, Pats x2, etc. The bigger issue though is even at 100% strength the WR depth chart is below average at best and there are no vertical threats to truly challenge opposing teams and be a serious playoff threat even if we somehow made it there. Bottom line, if this team really thinks they can be a playoff team this year you have to make at least one move of significance in the next few days or week. -
Not sure but he was absolutely horrid with the Jets which was his longest stint and there is a reason why he was one and done with the Bears, Ravens and Vikings too. This team seems to be obsessed with players like this through the years which is yet another reason why it's been 17 years and counting since our last playoff birth.

Greg ward jr and Malcolm Jenkins?
SaviorPeterman replied to Bray Wyatt's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly, no more gimmick players and guys who won't immediately help. We are doing that with Kailen Clay because of McD/Beane's Carolina connection and belief this guy might turn into something down the line. Any trade for a WR or TE has to be a proven commodity that can catch passes in the NFL even if his numbers aren't eye popping. -
Would be pointless to do that when we can just cut him. If I had to guess we are in the process of a last ditch trade effort, possibly even asking Dareus and his agent to restructure to help facilitate a trade with a willing partner and if Dareus wants out of Buffalo don't see why he'd not be willing to agree to do this unless he truly doesn't care and is done with football after we dump him.

Saints Trade Adrian Peterson to the Cardinals
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Cardinals truly believe they are still a SB contender they would no doubt covet a veteran like Glenn and/or Dareus that fills major holes they have on their roster. Beane needs to make a move especially if he want's Glenn and/or Dareus gone and I'd take just about any WR on the Cardinals roster right now. -
Sammy Watkins complaining about targets again
SaviorPeterman replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely why not, but only for a reasonable deal and sadly I think some team will be dumb enough in the offseason to offer him top WR money. -
Sammy Watkins complaining about targets again
SaviorPeterman replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anybody else think it's weird that Watkins still has a picture of him in a Bills uniform on his twitter avatar and background? They guy tweets regularly and would think he'd update it to his current team.
