Lacanfora: Seahawks tried to trade for Glenn
SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wrong, Peterman has all the tools and is ready to start now. Too bad the Pegulas weren't meddling owners like Ralph Wilson or they probably would have told this regime to bench and cut Taylor. -
Lacanfora: Seahawks tried to trade for Glenn

Most armchair GM's and casual fans could have made better moves than the clowns this organization has employed the last 17 years. Beane and McD may or may not be the answer, but sticking with one of the worst starting QB's this team has ever seen certainly don't inspire confidence. Not too mention completely dismantling and offense and starting worthless players like Kierlen Clay and Vlad Ducasse because they have connections to the Panthers or coaches on the staff. -
At least we fleeced the Rams in this trade, too bad it will be a late 2nd round pick though because the Rams look like a playoff team.

The wheels will come off quickly if we lose to the Bucs and Taylor plays like trash in the process. Beane and McD need to understand that in the NFL 'trusting the process' means win now or find a new job in a few years. They have the assets to immediately improve this roster, not too mention benching Taylor for Peterman to get things moving. -
Around The League: NFL Week 6 (I think?)

Remember the Cardinals, Rams and Brady less pats last year? I have no idea what the Broncos and Falcons records will be when the dust settles but right now they don't look like very good teams so yes our wins over them mean very little have the classic asterisk next to them. -

If we can get a WR and 3rd/4th round pick for Glenn not sure how we don't pull the trigger ASAP. Glenn is average and his better days are behind him. Time to move on and facilitate this rebuild. -
FitzMagic again next week? Winston hurt in TB game...
SaviorPeterman replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both the Broncos and Falcons also came off their bye this week and I'm truly concerned about where the Bills heads will be at after a crushing loss to the Bengals. Bucs are a very desperate team at 2-3 coming into Buffalo next week and you better believe they will move the ball and score points no matter who their QB is. -

This is why being a Bills fans is gut wretching at times. After the Falcons win this team was riding high after knocking off two alleged SB contenders. But today reality comes crashing to earth as the 'lowly' dolphins won more impressively than we did in Atlanta coming back from a 17-0 deficit and at halftime the winless Giants are dominating the Broncos on the road 17-3. If that holds up and they win it's diminishes what the Bills did even more. Make no mistake about it, if we come out sloppy after they Bye and the Bucs jump out to a lead they will crush this team and it's all she wrote as the season goes up in flames. -

Simeon looked great the first two weeks but they were home games and in hindsight against two sub .500 teams (Cowboys and Chargers). But yah, not sure our win against them will mean much in the grand scheme of things and starting to think both they and the Falcons might be .500 (at best) teams this year just like the Bills are ultimately destined to be. -
Just like with the Bills and Taylor, but unlike us they don't have Brady and the Pats in their division and might actually win it by default. I think Marrone is a decent coach but even if the Jags get to the playoffs this year they will be one and done because of the QB situation.

At this point Fitz might give the Bucs a better chance of winning considering how inconsistent Winston has been this year. I got a very bad feeling about this game. -

If Denver loses this game boy all of a sudden do two 'big' wins look diminished. I still think we lose next week against the Bucs unless some serious moves are on the horizon the next few days... -

Wonder what the Bills were asking for? Regardless good to know the Bills are actually trying to make moves during the bye week. Still time to improve this roster before the trade deadline in a few weeks. -
Because deep down I know the Bills season is over unless we make a move to Peterman and try and ignite this team again. I've spoken to several contacts I have in the scouting world this past week and they all said the obvious....Bills are spinning their wheels and delaying the inevitable sticking with Taylor and not starting the better player on the bench.

Fitz is heating up, just threw his 2nd TD pass today....matchup with the bills looms large if he starts. -
I could care less about them, just pointing out the obvious facts and conceding their greatness, which yes is hard to as a Bills fan. The Pats are in 1st place in the division and it's up to the Bills to keep pace and do something about it. History says they won't and in a year where all 4 teams are .500 or better after 6 weeks doesn't bode well for any slim hopes we had at a wildcard spot either.
-
Diminish their greatness. Yes I'm sick and tired of the pats like most Bills (and NFL) fans but only a fool would not acknowledge their greatness especially after the SB comeback against the Falcons. The Hoodie and Brady continue to do their thing but some folks insist their finished and simply getting lucky like today because of such an obscure call even though it's the rule. Don't be surprised if they win out because that's how good they really are.

It's truly amazing that after all these years people still try and diminish what the Pats have done, especially this year. Yes that TD play that was reversed was questionable but it was the right call according to the rules sadly. The point is they won, and are now 4-2 after a lot of folks claimed they were finished again after another 2-2 start. As for the Bills though, realistically this team was always playing for a wildcard anyway but serious changes are needed if they are going to do that, let alone win 3 or 4 more games period this year.
