Anybody else concerned about the Tampa game?
SaviorPeterman replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bengals go on a tear and end up making the playoffs than yes in hindsight it's a 'good loss' so to speak. We'll find out where they are truly at as well this week coming out of their bye and playing a huge game at Pitt where they have a chance to get to .500, steelers have some serious momentum after their big win in KC last week. -
Juan Castillo Talks Bills' OL Blocking Schemes
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just wish we went a different direction for OC and some of the coaches and I still think this will be a move that McD regrets should the offense continue to flounder and we don't make the playoffs. But for better or worse we are stuck with Dennison, Castillo, etc the rest of this year. -
Not necessarily in this case but let's not pretend humber is a proven commodity. He's another guy that's been mostly a backup/ST player his entire career but he was off to a decent start. In the end Humber is a true stop gap though and not saying Milano is the long term answer, still think we address OLB next year in the draft or FA.

Hypothetical Trade - Buffalo and Seattle
SaviorPeterman replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been an advocate of trading Glenn for the right situation but I wouldn't make this move, at least as is. Mostly because Graham is nearly 3 years older than Glenn and TE isn't a glaring need right now even with Clay out for a while. Now if Seattle threw in another player and/or mid round draft pick it might be more appealing. -
While I tend to agree with this, Tampa will still try and do what other teams have against us and that's stacking the box and forcing Taylor to beat us with this arm. However unlike some of these other teams their probability of success is diminished because of their overall defense and struggles they've had.

Isn't he still week to week? Milano has played fine in his absence and is probably better in coverage anyway.

Bucs have always been a bad match up for the Bills for some reason hence my original concern. But at least our only win against them in the last 20 years has been in Buffalo so hopefully history can repeat itself although I still have my doubts. -

I'm not as concerned as I was earlier in the week since the Bills should be getting some guys back and they have been at their best offensively at home so far against the Jets and Broncos. But the stakes are very high for this game because all of a sudden the game against Raiders looms large after what they did last night. So if the Bills do drop this game against the Bucs it certainly doesn't bode well for next week against the Raiders whose high octane offense seems to be back. -
Marshawn pushes Ref: Predictions

Some things never change with Lynch, he's a straight up gangsta! -
Have to see what the Bills do first this week against the Bucs, but the Raiders essentially saved their season last night with an epic come from behind win making the stakes very high next week in Buffalo compared to riding a 5 game losing streak. As for the Chiefs though, their defensive issues are starting to come full circle like most expected when they lost their lynchpin Eric Berry for the season in the opener. So I think that had also had a lot to do with the Raiders offense suddenly waking up.

Regardless of retooling the running game, we still have to take some shots downfield to at least make an attempt to back off opposing defense from the line of scrimmage. Bucs are getting healthy on defense and getting some key guys back this week so their 31st ranked may not be so terrible this week.

I really don't think that fans of any other NFL team (except maybe the Browns) can truly understand a Bills fans pain and sorrow given the events of the last 17 years. I'm pushing 40 years old and the last time this team made the playoffs I was in college, truly puts life into perspective.

Through 6 weeks, also important to note they have Trey White graded out as the 5th best overall DB in the NFL (including rookies and veterans). https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-ranking-all-32-nfl-defenses-after-week-6?utm_content=bufferb90d0&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=nfl

I wouldn't sleep on Hundley, sources of mine out west loved this kid coming out of UCLA and felt the Packers and Rogers were an ideal situation for him to sit and marinate so to speak. The athleticism and talent certainly isn't a question mark. Whether he's actually ready to step up and produce remains another story but guess we'll find out. I still think the AFCN is wide open though but if there was a team that could sneak up and win it don't sleep on the Lions who have been up and down so far this year.

Stop linking to Buffalo News aritcles
SaviorPeterman replied to xsoldier54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would anybody have a problem paying a nominal fee to read the Buffalo news? I'm actually surprised it took them so long to follow suit and stop posting their content for free like many other major newspapers did years ago. Either way BN definitely worth the money to be able to read Jerry Sullivan, Vic Carucci, etc. They know the pulse of this team and have leveraged their sources for years to bring the most unbiased, tell it like it is take regarding the Bills, Sabres, etc. -
What Would It Take For You To Quit The Bills?
SaviorPeterman replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was extremely close this year because I did believe the Bills were going to be terrible entering year one of the latest rebuilding venture, but I bought into the 'you never know' idea and at least so far this team has been better than expected. Still not sure they will sustain it but I'm along for the ride at least one more season anyway..... -

I've pondered walking away from this team for several years now but always seemed to get sucked back in. But if McD/Beane are not successful and this drought hits 20+ years then I probably have to walk away for good. Because this type of ineptitude is not good for any casual, or hardcore fans health and well being quite frankly. -
I'm Surprised by Zay Jones' Slow Start
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jerry Sullivan pointed out these numbers regarding Zay Jones NFL production so far: Obviously a big difference between the NFL and college, but this is somewhat concerning for a player that was very productive in college and the start he's off to in the NFL.
