  1. With all the draft picks this team currently has there is no excuse to not go out right out and make a move to help the team this season unless Beane and McD truly believe we aren't getting to the playoffs. But still not sure how you could come to that judgement at 4-2 even though the schedule does get much harder on paper. But yes nothing is guaranteed and it's pretty clear that regardless of the final outcome of this season, what Beane does next year with all these draft picks will define this franchise and whether or not we do make it back to the playoffs (assuming we don't this year) or the drought hits 20+ years.
  2. We don't have Aaron Rogers so I disagee (although I have a hunch that Peterman is going to be the next Rogers type of QB 5 years from now).
  3. Your going to be labeled a troll for this but I agree for the most part. If we lose against the Raiders like most expect, 4-2 can easily become 4-4 in the span of 5 days. And even if we win against some equal to worse teams record wise, not sure where the wins are coming from against the Dolphins x 2, Pats x 2, Saints, Chiefs, Chargers, etc. Bills won't be favored in any of those games. Realistically though I think Beane and McD know this isn't a playoff team this year but they are doing what they can to stay competitive while looking ahead to the future. And while stockpiling draft picks is nice, it won't matter if we don't hit on them and/or trade most of them away to move up for a QB or player like we did with Watkins and that guy don't pan out.
  4. Never a dull day in Buffalo it seems. I give Beane a lot of credit for making this happen because I was pretty sure we were going to have to simply cut Dareus after the season. But make no mistake about it, this was a 'we have to get this guy of the team ASAP' move and I can understand why some fans are made about a mere 6th round pick in return. But at least we got something and are rid of Overdorf and Whaley's horrendous contract (speaking of Overdorf can anybody explain why this clown is still employed here?) Only problem I have is with all the injuries piling up this could come back to bite the Bills. Conversely this move probably makes the Jags a legit Superbowl contender and could transform an already great defense into 2000 Ravens caliber meaning they could in fact win with a mediorce QB like Bortles. Will be interesting to see how this defense plays this week because if we do lose the Raiders as most expect and the defense is horrible again some critics will no doubt point the finger and Beane and McD for their eagerness to unload a player like Dareus.
  5. I'd love to believe this but my gut feeling tells me they are about to go on a serious run especially now they got their 'bad loss' out of the way similar to last year with the Ravens as well. Metrics on Cam Wake and their defense are truly concerning and not in a bad way. I've said all along that this Dolphins team reminds me a lot of Parcells Jets teams, particularly the 98 squad that started 0-2 and finished 12-4 and made it all the way to the AFC Championship against the eventual SB champions (Broncos). A similar run could be in store for Miami this year.
  6. Steelers are the only AFC team that can challenge them and they will lose as always in the playoffs against them. And while the Eagles and Carson Wentz are the cream of the crop in the NFC right now it's still early and can't see them seriously challenging the Pats either in a SB matchup.
  7. Just want to reiterate, Dolphins lost at Baltimore last year 38-6 amid a torrid 9-2 finish after 1-4 start. This year they started 0-2, and currently sit at 4-3 (and still a top 10 defense) despite last nights ugly 40-0 loss. Bottom line here is bad games happen and the Ravens own Miami, it's simply a bad match up for them. Chiefs lost at home this year and home in the playoffs to the Steelers, another example of this. Same argument most Bills fans can make against teams like the Steelers, Chiefs, Pats, etc who they always play their worst against and find ways to lose even in close games against these squads.
  8. I didn't mean it to come off the wrong way, just saying I'm usually right with the Bills and other NFL matters. Not just because I used to work in the scouting world either, just have been an astute observer particularly of this franchise being a long time Bills fan. And sadly the realist in me usual prevails over the homer in regardles to the Bills. My point is valid though (regarding the Dolphins/Ravens), last year they started the season 1-4 an finished 10-6. That's a 9-2 run in the final 11 games and one of the losses was late in the season against the Ravens 38-6. Basically the same type of beat down and Adam Gase and the team knows this.
  9. Nope, I admitted I was wrong about the game last night (although I'm rarely wrong). But I guarantee the Dolphins are going to rebound from what was simply a team that has their number, similar to the Pats and Chiefs dominating the Bills every time we play them. Adam Gase is a very detailed oriented coach and still won't be surprised if the Dolphins win 11 or 12 games this year because of key metrics that are still on their side.
  10. Unless it's for a true game changing player not sure I see Beane wanting to give up anything more than a 4th to 7th round pick. Or if we do trade Glenn/Dareus I suppose that's an option as well. I still think that the trade deadline will come and go like it does every year without the Bills or most other teams making any deals of note.
  11. Dolphins have the same number of wins as the Bills regardless of the stats, metrics, etc. At this point I'm worried about the Bills beating the Raiders and holding first at #2 in the division behind the Pats.
  12. No way we are giving up a 3rd round pick for this headcase regardless of his talent and potential. If we spend a 3rd rounder on a WR it will certainly be somebody else.
  13. Not in all cases, and according to PFF Taylor is a top 10 NFL QB and even his most ardent supporters can't really believe that. In any event I could care less about the Dolphins but I still think Bills fans are underestimating them especially since they swept us last year and also beat us in Buffalo with the same Matt Moore who didn't look very good last night.
  14. This year might be the easiest path to the superbowl and another championship that the Pats have ever had because not sure I see a real threat to them in either conference right now.
  15. Any realistic fan should be extremely paranoid and concerned about this matchup. My anxiety level has been off the charts all week and will certainly peak by halftime on Sunday if it's another close game or we're losing!
  16. They are both equally important IMO. Because it would be very disappointing to beat the Raiders and then lose to the Jets because they are a division opponent. I don't believe we are winning the division anyway so it's somewhat moot but any faint chance we do have would assume sweeping the Jets.
  17. I understand the metrics on the Dolphins offense, but they have graded out well in specific areas by PFF (especially Jay Ajai and the rushing attack). Also defensively they are graded out well and still a top 10 unit despite last nights shallacking and Cameron Wake is still highest graded pass rusher in the NFL. Anyways like I've been saying, the Bills are going to have a game like this at some point. Hopefully not a 40-0 blowout but there will be at least one very frustrating and ugly Sunday afternoon even if we are a playoff caliber team.
  18. Winston is a top 10 NFL QB and he did what he could to lead his team to victory last week. But I do think Carr is also a top 10 QB and better at this stage of the game because he has a playoff season under his belt (even though he didn't play in the playoffs last year because of injury).
  19. No question we should be able to move the ball against this team just like last week, because if we can't we definitely aren't going to have a much of a chance in this one.
  20. Ravens have been a bad matchup for the dolphins the last few years, I believe they also were dominated by them last year too. It happens, but still think the Dolphins are a contender and every playoff team has a bad game or two. It's coming for us too and hopefully we get it out of the way sooner than later and still think we could get routed at home this week by the Raiders which means we'll be exactly where the Dolphins are at 4-3.
  21. Cooper is a beast. I'm very concerned about him, even more concerned about Khalil Mack and the prospect of him lining up against Jordan Mills....
  22. I really don't understand the Boldin story. Does he want to play or not? Why on earth did he sign her in the first place if he doesn't want to be in Buffalo? And if he does, has he not been paying attention to the Bills? If he has something left he would be a major addition to the WR corps. Talk about another primadonna and headcase!
  23. I'd still like to see Taylor take more chances and I believe he's going to need to this week against another high octane offense and QB. Extremely L.A.R.G.E indeed!
  24. I was certainly wrong about the game last night and didn't see it coming but still think the Dolphins are a very good team and possibly 2nd best in the division behind the Pats. But losing such an ugly game is sometimes tough to recover from and don't get any easier for the Fish with the same Raiders team we are playing this week heading down there next.
  25. According to some on this board if you are a non-homer your really a pats fan and Brady ball licker. Either way hopefully all this will be over soon once Brady is finished and/or retires but at this rate looks like all the once absurd talk of Brady wanting to play until he's 45 is very realistic and we might have a little while longer before this nightmare ends. A great way to do something about it though would be to finally win a game against them this year even if they still cruise to another division title which I expect to be the case.
