Bills dominating turnover differential - BIG time
SaviorPeterman replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's definitely a concern because we certainly aren't going to get 3+ turnovers every game the rest of the season. But unlike with the Bucs and Bengals, we actually blew out a team today instead of playing very close to the end despite the turnovers. -
We are in solid playoff position right now...
SaviorPeterman replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we can beat the Jets and get to 6-2 then presumably we only have to play .500 football in the 2nd half of the season to get to 10-6 and snag a wildcard, which isn't necessarily a bad thing given how brutal the schedule is down the stretch. Still think the key is going to be the offense and I'd still like to see us pick up another legit WR threat, and back up RB. And if Clay can come back and stay healthy and play like he did early in the season who knows where this team might go. -
Mccoy needs a running mate
SaviorPeterman replied to The Now Moment's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm concerned about this as well because every time McCoy takes a big hit I'm holding my breath. Hence the need for another Gilliselee/Karlos Williams type of player. No way this team can be confident in Tolbert getting 20+ carries a game if something happens to McCoy. -
McDermott - Coach of the Year Candidate?
SaviorPeterman replied to Foxx's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't see how he can't/won't be under consideration considering what McD has done with a roster full of rag tag misfits and castoffs. Plus you have to factor in the 17 year drought should we make the playoffs. Will certainly come down to McD, McVay and St Doug in Jax. -
Mccoy needs a running mate
SaviorPeterman replied to The Now Moment's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope this happens too this year. I have no issues with Tolbert, he's been ok playing the role of grizzled veteran behind McCoy but we need a true change of pace guy like we had with Gillesie and Carlos Williams. No reason we can't find somebody right now with a late round pick in a trade. -
Elston looked like a beast out there. Also worth noting that both Leonard Johnson and Sharice Wright were among the top graded players today by PFF. So much for the glaring holes we thought were going to be apparent in the secondary without Gaines and Poyer.

* Bills have scored 20+ points in 13 straight home games, next closest is the Pats with 9 straight. * Bills have won 4 straight home games to start the season since 1995. * Bills have 3+ takeaways in 4 straight games, longest active streak in NFL and longest streak for the bills since the final 5 games of 2004. * If the Bills win on Thur and get to 6-2 it will be the first 6-2 start since 1993, the last year the Bills were in the SB. Conclusion, it may very well be time to believe again because I certainly feel like a giddy schoolgirl and my concerns and paranoia about this team are slowly receding. What a time to be a fan.

Gameday Thread Bills vs Raiders 2nd Half
SaviorPeterman replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really hate that we are only up 13 points despite 3 TO's again. Raiders can easily get within 6 points with a TD here which would be way too close for comfort... -

Matt Milano making plays! Maybe McD will rethink his comments earlier this week regarding Humber getting the starting job back. -

God this team gives me such anxiety, now hopefully they don't let the Raiders score again on this drive or at least not a TD. -

Nice 5 yard pass on 3rd and 6. Also amazing how the Raiders defense magically looks like a top 10 unit today against the Bills on the road. Guess the PFF metrics were spot on again despite them being among the worst in the league in terms of yards allowed. -

If they go up 14-0 we aren't coming back. Radiers will go for the jugular here just watch, Del Rio is a very aggressive coach and a deep ball is coming especially knowing the Bills are reeling with a horrible call in the Raiders favor. -

Horrendous call but have to stop Oakland on this drive or the game is over. -

Knew this was going to happen. And if we go 3 and out and give the ball right back this will be over quickly the way the Raiders are moving the ball with ease. -
What role did Marrone play in this trade?
SaviorPeterman replied to Captain_Quint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Definitely see them winning the AFC South, they might even get a 1st round bye. St Doug is well on his way to turning around a 3rd straight sports franchise. Too bad he left or we would have definitely been in the playoffs by now. -
I don't think the situation is that dire but with or without Dareus this defense has always been smoke and mirrors and certainly trending in the wrong direction the last few weeks. I'll be very surprised if we do hold the Raiders to under 30 points and Carr has less than 300 yards tomorrow, don't see it happening though.

Jordan Poyer injury - Out for Raiders game
SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. I think this will be a our first blowout loss of the season, no way we are going to hang with the Raiders after what they did against a superbowl team like the Chiefs. But I've sad all along that all playoff teams have a bad loss or two like this over the course of the season, obviously look what happened to a playoff team like the Dolphins just other night. -
What role did Marrone play in this trade?
SaviorPeterman replied to Captain_Quint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sure he'll have something to prove, at least early on. And if St. Doug and his staff keep him motivated he's going to look very good on a defense already loaded with talent at just about every position. -
Jordan Poyer injury - Out for Raiders game
SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Saw a post on the official Bills facebook page from a somebody that claims they know Poyer and he's apparently not going to play tomorrow but hopes to ready for the Jets. If true we are going to get lit up by the Raiders starting two scrubs in the secondary. -
Can we please find a real RB to back up McCoy? Shouldn't be too hard with all the draft picks Beane is hoarding lately.

Brandon Beane already top 3 worst GM's in bills history
SaviorPeterman replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And yet he's still here playing a prominent role on both the Sabres and Bills for Pegula Sports & Entertainment Inc. Also why is Jim Overdorf still employed by this organization? He's equally liable for the horrible Dareus contract and other bad deals that have set this franchise back years. -
What role did Marrone play in this trade?
SaviorPeterman replied to Captain_Quint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
St Doug no doubt had a role in making this happen. And for all the talk of Dareus being a lockerroom cancer and lazy it's very telling that two known discipline focused guys in Coughlin and Marrone took on Dareus's contract. Jags have the look of a dark horse SB team and don't be surprised if a Dareus is motivated on a new team closer to home and they make a deep playoff run. The defense is already good enough and with Dareus could transform into a 2000 Ravens type of squad that can win it all with average to poor QB play. -
Brandon Beane already top 3 worst GM's in bills history
SaviorPeterman replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not going to fully judge Beane until after next year, specifically what he does with all the draft picks. But let's not kid ourselves here, this guy has no proven track record as an NFL GM. People can rave about him being an 'up and comer' but everybody said the same thing about Whaley who was supposed to be the next big thing because he came from the Steelers (who have a much better franchise and legacy than the Panthers). But all Beane has really done so far in Buffalo is distance himself from Whaley and previous regimes and while I have no problem with the Dareus trade, it could still come back to haunt this team if they do have serious intentions of making the playoffs this year because the injuries have been hitting fast and furious on the defense lately. -
Not sure the dline is in shambles, but next year it will no doubt look very different without Dareus. I also think this is Kyle Williams last season in Buffalo and he's not exactly playing like he has in years past anyway. So at minimum we are probably looking at 2 new starters but we certainly have the draft capital to get some good players in the front seven among other areas of need for this team.
