  1. Didn't even notice but not like we needed to throw the ball much anyway. Good to know he's ok then.
  2. Any word on Deonte Thompson? Is his injury minor or out multiple weeks??
  3. Again just stating the obvious. I like where the bills are at (will like it even more with a win on Thur) but deep down I'm still realistic and concerned in that I'm not sure the Pats lose another game the rest of the season rendering all this talk about the Bills or anybody else challenging them for division or AFC crown. The talk that they are weak is ludicrous since they have just won 4 straight games with a defense that is quietly shutting down teams after being terrible early. In fact most of their defensive success in recent weeks has been without prized FA addition Stephon Gilmore ironically. As for the Dolphins, again would love for them to suck this year but they were in a much worse spot last year at 1-4 before winning 9 of their final 11 games including a sweep of the Bills during that stretch. Also the only 2 losses they had down the stretch was at NE and at BAL similar to what happened last week. At 4-3 this year they should be thrilled given the circumstances and key metrics are still trending in the right direction for them sadly. Bottom line the Bills will have a chance for redemption this year with how the schedule shakes out.
  4. If this team was truly after AP then I'm holding out hope we are still looking to make a move for another good RB to take carries away from Tolbert.
  5. Call me crazy, but I could see the Bills sweeping the AFC West this year. KC and LA games loom LARGE. And both games are winnable although the Chiefs will be difficult for obvious reasons including their ownage of the Bills in recent years.
  6. Not to get off track, but after that game I was plagued with visions for months that the Bills went on to the win the SB that year if they beat the Titans. Also involved Rob Johnson getting hurt in the next game and the little general starting again and leading the Bills to a championship. Truly made me believe in the whole 'Doug Flutie curse' for years. Anyways, the Bills have an opportunity to exorcise some serious demons this year if they can beat the pats once in December and make the playoffs. Now if they were to actually win the division talk about HUGE.
  7. Horrible news and a reminder that NFL players truly risk their health and well being regardless of the big paydays.
  8. Agreed, it's a brutal finish regardless of whether or not the NFL thought the Bills would be good or not when they drew this thing up. What sucks the most about not playing the fish or Pats yet is we truly don't know how good we are compared to them who were both playoff teams last year. Plus it's typically easier to catch the Pats early on and get a win against them vs playing them in December when they are near impossible to beat home or on the road. But as a Bills fan you do have to appreciate that we will likely be involved in some meaningful games come December that very well may decide the division, wildcard race, AFC seeding etc.
  9. Still way too early but as of today somewhere in the B+ to A- range based on the following: White - looks to be a future all pro Zay Jones - looks like a typically rookie WR but did take baby steps against the Raiders Dawkins - haven't seen enough but has been up and down when he's played Milano - could be a potential steal, looks like a starter for sure Peterman - future franchise QB once he plays, hopefully it will be for the Bills Vallejo - ST player, need to see more Could very well be one of the best drafts in the drought an Beane hasn't even done his own yet.
  10. Not touting anything but remember they were a playoff team last year and started the season much worse than their current 4-3 record. I know some fans don't want to hear it but still think the loss against the Ravens was an anomaly and they will bounce back strong. For all the talk about the AFCW being the best division in football, I believe the true claim is the AFCE. And you could very well see the division and both wildcard spots decided in december with H.U.G.E matchups pitting all 3 teams against twice even if the Pats continue to roll and don't lose another game until then. Would certainly bring back memories of the good old days with the Bills and Dolphins facing eachother in high stakes games come December.
  11. From Clark Judge of CBS Sports fame: http://www.talkoffamenetwork.com/23270-2/
  12. Getting to 6-2 would be massive for this team for a number of reasons. And I've pointed out before that this team has never been better than 5-5 through 10 games since the first year of the drought in 2000. Talk about truly changing the culture and direction of this team if we can get our 6th win in the first 8 games.
  13. I'm less skeptical than I was a few weeks ago, but I need to see this team win at the Jets on Thursday to truly be on the playoff train. Because it's no secret we have one of the most difficult 2nd half schedules in the NFL on paper. But a 6-2 start goes a long way to absorbing some losses and theoretically we would possibly only need to play .500 football the rest of the way to finish 10-6 and get in the tourney. A jets loss would be a major setback though and shades of 2011 when they routed then then 5-2 Bills at home and was the first of seven straight losses for this team.
  14. Still think KC is the cream of the AFCW crop and it's going to be a big challenge for the bills to go there and win. So probably need/want them to beat Denver. However on the flip side of the coin, since we have the tiebreaker over the Broncos already and believe KC could be in the midst of a slide and it's a winnable game there in a few weeks than maybe it makes sense for Denver to win.

  16. Very true but I sure hope not because it would be very deflating and kill this teams momentum. And if we can't beat the Jets on the road doesn't bode well for the rest of the road slate including brutal games at KC, Mia, NE and LA. We really need a 6-2 start to absorb some impending losses in the 2nd half.
  17. I love the grimy looking hoodie, especially since McD was sporting in in the post game interview still soaked with rain although Belichik might be pissed since that's his trademark look.
  18. If we don't have a let down I see this being a 2nd straight blowout win for the Bills. Which would be impressive since the Jets have played hard and hung around with playoff teams the last 3 weeks. Time to send a message to the rest of the NFL on primetime!
  19. Yes they aren't release or trade him. If they did release him the Pats would also pounce like they did with Blount.
  20. Not going to lie, like most 'experts' and pundits I predicted a 3-13 type of season this year. But McD and Beane have proven that a new regime and the right roster moves can turn around a team in just one season. And considering what they are getting out of a roster loaded with castoffs and average talent, just think what will happen with talent influx over the next few years.
  21. Be serious Royale, Jets had a feel good start but they are not going to the playoffs and closer to the team most pundits expected this year. But they certainly aren't terrible. Dolphins are still playoff bound IMO though but not worried about them until December. Focus this week is taking care of business in primetime!
  22. Doubt the Steelers are scared of the Bills or any other AFC team except for the Pats. The reason they won't trade Bryant is principle and to send a message that being a whining malcontent isn't going to get you a ticket out of town.
  23. Milano has been a MONSTER. Not sure how McD can justify taking this beast out of the starting lineup. Nothing against Humber but his play was average and no where close to what Milano is doing. And you have to trend towards the rookie with upside vs. a veteran whose mostly been a backup and ST player in his career.
  24. Love that this is a true TEAM. Bills family be putting in work!
  25. LARGE indeed and the prospect of getting off to a 6-2 for the first time since 1993 should send chills down most Bills fans spines since that was also our last SB appearance. Yes there are some concerns with the Jets, mostly because they have held a lead in the last 3 games which they ended up losing including 14 points leads against playoff teams in the Pats and Dolphins. And throwing the Falcons in the mix that's the two SB teams from last year they could have beat. Also a painful reminder that the last 5-2 start in 2011 was pretty much derailed by the same Jets team that was the first of 7 straight losses. And while I don't see that happening this year we definitely need to stay focused against a very tough 2nd half schedule. Regadless I predict a Bills victory on Thur, what are you concerns if any?
