  1. If he's practicing on a limited basis the last few days I would imagine that's not a sign that a guy is about to be placed on IR. Obviously he's not playing this week but we really need him back against the Saints.
  2. Yes the TD they took away from the Jets and instead called a turnover and touchback for the Pats. Crazy turn of events but it was a legit rule even though some fans claimed conspiracy.
  3. Don't sleep on Kenyan Drake down in Miami taking over as the primary RB. I had high grades on him coming out of Alabama, he has excellent straight-line speed, and has a good burst to get to the edge on outside runs. Can be a weapon in the passing game as well so I can see why Gase made this move.
  4. Sadly they really do, even if it's really obscure stuff like the TD/touchback play against the Jets that pretty much won the game for them.
  5. There is no conspiracy. The Pats are what they are because they have the greatest head coach and QB of all time period.
  6. Hearing the Colts are asking for as much as a 2nd round pick for Hilton. That's too much IMO and don't see Beane doing it assuming there is any interest in the first place.
  7. Indeed. I picked them to go 12-4 this year as a WILDCARD behind the Pats. Not sure they get to 12 wins but probably at least 10. AFC East is truly a beast of a division again this year with even the Jets playing much better than expected which is why there are still concerns about the game on Thur.
  8. For those that think a 4-3 team is tanking and some how giving up on the season with this trade just remember the Dolphins were struggling on offense last year during their 1-4 start until Adam Gase made the call to abandon his running back rotation and hand the job over to Jay Ajayi. Ajayi ran for 204 yards in a win over the Steelers the week after and the offense was significantly better the rest of the way including the following week against the Bills which sent our season into a tailspin as the Dolphins went on to win 9 of 11. As a Bills fan I hate watching division teams make POWER moves like this but we can only worry about taking care of our own business.
  9. Adam Gase and Mike Tannenbaum are running a tight ship in Miami and this was a shrewd move to get rid of a malcontent and send a message to the locker room. Word on the street is they love Kenyan Drake and feel he's primed to explode as a feature back. Don't be surprised if this sparks the Dolphins to go on a run similar to how they finished last season winning 9 of 11 and wonder if they are looking to make some more moves before the stretch run.
  10. Alex Smith has truly aged like a fine wine during his NFL career. And he's upped his game big time with the presence of a young talented signal caller behind him similar to Taylor stepping up for us this year with Peterman waiting in the wings, eager and ready.
  11. Hoodie is playing 4D chess, don't be surprised if this is a precursor to a bigger move. Hope Beane is ready to counter strike whatever the Pats are about to pull off.
  12. Very shrewd move by Hoodie and company. Guess they must truly believe Brady is playing until he's 45 and given Belichik's history with drafting QB's they'll probably get a guy better than Jimmy G with the 2nd round pick they got from San Fran anyway.
  13. I'm disappointed in Trevor Siemien, seems like he has really regressed after a promising start to his career. All the next gen stats and key metrics pointed to him being the next big star in this league too. Perhaps he was a better fit in Dennison's offense after all.
  14. Apparently Humber was quietly back practicing today on a limited basis. I hope Milano stays in the lineup, this kid is blue collar and has all the makings of being bills fan legend.
  15. PFF's rating on Glenn from yesterdays game is L.A.R.G.E.!!!!
  16. Brady is having one of his best years ever at 40 years old. And yes the prospect of him going against a Jaraun style defense brings back nightmares circa 2007 when Brady dropped a 50 burger on the defense. I still want to puke when I think about that primetime game where the Pats came into Buffalo and embarrassed the Bills, but then again they did it to everybody that year. This years defense is certainly better than that but we cannot rely on 3+ turnovers and limiting teams to FG's instead of TD's every week.
  17. When Peterman was originally drafted they might have just looked at him as a developmental prospect, but behind closed doors I can assure you the conversation has changed. And I still think there are factions within One Bills Drive that would love start him over Taylor if they could. At least that's some of the feedback some sources have mind have passed along. In any even we are fortunate to have drafted such a stud and I look forward to the day he's starting and hopefully lead the Bills to the promised land. Make no mistake about it though this is Taylors team for now though.
  18. I'm with you on that John. They needed to keep feeding the beast so to speak but it was encouraging that Zay took baby steps yesterday and hope he continues to develop this season.
  19. No such thing as luck in the NFL my friend. And as much as I'd love to write them off Gase did for the Dolphins what McD is doing for the Bills. He's a true thinking man's coach and will get the offense producing better than they are right now which isn't necessarily that bad given their 4-3 record. It's all about details and losing Tannenhill was a major blow given how good he was for them last year. I have the Dolphins going 11-5 this year and still sticking by that but assuming we can beat them in Buffalo this year. And right now it's looking like both AFC Wildards might be coming from this division. I wish I was wrong but usually aren't with these things. They are a serious contender sadly.
  20. In a perfect scenario we have success with Taylor the next few years and then unleash Peterman after a few years of marinating on the bench so to speak.
  21. He's open 24/7 like 7-11! Can you believe at one time the Bills WR depth chart had Hogan, Watkins and Woods on it?
  22. We drafted a potential stud and steal in the 5th round. Peteman might not play this year barring injury but I strongly believe he'll be a franchise QB in this league and hopefully for the Bills. My sources are still raving about him during our regular conversations about the Bills and NFL in general.
  23. As of today it looks like we can be competitive with the Pats (and Dolphins) when we play them. But as for actually beating them it's going to be have to proved on the field especially with the Pats. Still think absolute best case is going 2-2 in games against the Pats and Dolphins which will likely be good enough for a wildcard assuming a 2nd half collapse isn't coming for the Bills. But at the end of the day the Pats are 6-2 and on pace for their usual 13-3 type of season especially since they play their best football in the 2nd half of the season. What concerns me the most right now though is how dominant Belichik and Patricia's defense is looking after such a poor start to the season. Since losing to the Panthers and giving up 30+ in that one they are allowing 12.75 points per game in their last 4 (all wins). Yes they are still 32nd in total yards allowed but next gen stats and advanced metrics are certainly trending upwards for them.
  24. Taylor is spreading the football around. Last week with Thompson, this week it was Andre Holmes with a big day:
  25. They are #7 overall defense in yards allowed on defense. PFF also has them graded out as a top 10 unit with their advanced metrics and next gen stats. But yes the one issue with the Dolphins is their offense similar to the Bills they struggle when they can't run the ball. Gase is an offensive mind though and will likely sort things out similar to last year. I'm curious to see what happens when the Dolphins play the Raiders next week as it should be a good litmus test after their ugly 40-0 loss in Baltimore.
