The Week 8 Jets-game-in-promising-seasons curse
SaviorPeterman replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I pointed out last night this team is 3-7 in their last 10 division game and one of those was the game in NE last year when they were starting Jacoby Brissett which obviously has an asterisk next to it given the circumstn If you can't win division games you aren't obviously going very far in this league and certainly not going to be in the mix for a wildcard spot let alone the division title. -
The Week 8 Jets-game-in-promising-seasons curse
SaviorPeterman replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are no doubt a solid team and McCown is having a career year at 38 but I still don't see them as a serious playoff contender when it's all said and done. Biggest concern for the Bills is we seem to be a completely different team on the road vs in Buffalo. And given the remaining schedule not sure how we are going to win on a road if we can't win these type of games against the likes of the jets and bengals. -
The Week 8 Jets-game-in-promising-seasons curse
SaviorPeterman replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep I was concerned about this too all week knowing our history with the Jets after a 5-2 start and the scary thing about last night is this year's Jets team is nowhere close to the 2008 and 2011 teams that demolished us and sent us into a tailspin. History very well may be repeating itself with this team given the upcoming schedule and if it does I'm convinced the playoff drought hits 20+ years because McD and Beane are bound for failure if this season goes of the rails after such a promising start. -
Why is Bills offense so dreadful on the road??
SaviorPeterman replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's one of those weird years where this team might go 6-2 or 7-1 at home but go 1-7 or 2-6 on the road which isn't likely going to be good enough for the playoffs. And quite frankly this team is a few plays away from 0-4 on the road and still think the Falcons would have beat us if not for losing their top 2 WR's in that game. Either way things are going to have to change quickly both at home and on the road for this team to win games against much better competition in the 2nd half of the season. Pats, Saints and Dolphins aren't the Bucs, Raiders and Broncos. And not sure how we can win any of the road games left is we were dominated by the likes of the Bengals and Jets on the road. -
Incognito Says "TNF Games are BS"
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He should have just kept quiet and hopefully McD spoke to him after. You just can't make excuses like that for getting your ass handed to you because pretty much every team in the league plays a TNF game and has to prepare on a short week too. -
Why does this happen after EVERY loss?
SaviorPeterman replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This team has truly been terrible on the road minus the Falcons game, but I still prescribe to the theory we should have lost that one too if not for injuries to their two top WR's in that one. Cant see how this team has any chance of winning any of the remaining road games left considering who we have to play. -
Pass rush has disappeared after a good start to the season but aside from Hughes who on the dline scares you if you are an opposing offense? Lawson has certainly been a bust if you consider his strength in college was as a pass rusher. KW obviously showing his age and the rest of these guys are just backups being thrust into starting roles especially now that Dareus is gone. Good news is we should be able to address both DT and DE in a major way next year through the draft and/or FA to find the type of guys McD truly needs for his defense.

Rex happy with TV job but open to NFL return
SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I doubt Rex gets another HC gig again unless he sucks up his ego and takes a DC job again first. -
Hughes hasn't been as bad as last year with this type of stuff but he certainly self destructed last night. Bigger concern is after a fast start to the season he's been virtually invisible in recent weeks in terms of the pass rush.

I fully believe this team will bounce back
SaviorPeterman replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The season is essentially on the line next week because if we lose against the Saints and fall to 5-4 it's last year all over again with 2 straight road games against the Chargers and Chiefs and then home against the Pats. Because best case is going 1-2 in those games for sure. Hard to have much confidence right now when you are supposed to start playing your best football of the season in the 2nd half and the Bills came out and had their worst possible game on the national stage and were blown off the field. -
Win the games you're SUPPOSED to win guys!!!!
SaviorPeterman replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills needed to win this game and get to 6 wins with the upcoming scheduling looming large. Yes this team has been great at home so far but hard to have confidence in a team that can't beat sub .500 teams on the road. This is shaping up to be one of those years where the Bills might actually go 7-1 at home but only 2-6 on the road which might not be good enough to make the playoffs. -
Silver Lining - Zay Jones
SaviorPeterman replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Process is definitely working with Jones the last few weeks. He should flourish with Benjamin starting and Clay back in the lineup down the stretch. -
Why does this happen after EVERY loss?
SaviorPeterman replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If this game was against the Patriots or even the Dolphins not sure most fans would be that concerned. However it was against a 3-5 team that had lost 3 straight games, and looking at the schedule if you can't win on the road against teams like the Jets and Bengals you aren't winning in NE, MIA, KC or even LAC based on how they've played. But regardless these games happen even to playoff caliber teams. Just not sure anymore the Bills are because they were exposed big time on defense which is the major concern going forward since that was the perceived area of strength for this team. -
Why did our D suck so bad tonight?
SaviorPeterman replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
KW is a hell of his former self. Not saying he's been terrible this year because he hasn't but he's not the same guy anymore and last night was certainly his worst game of the year (like most of the players on this team). Go back and watch the game if you have it recorded though, KW was manhandled on a lot of plays not even double teamed either. -
In order of importance: 1) DT - KW is showing his age and the rest of these guys are backup caliber period. Run defense is going to revert back to Rex type of numbers the rest of the way after last night. 2) LB - I would argue all three positions, Preston Brown is overrated and Humber and Zo are full time starting LB's. Time to put Milano back in and see if he can be a starter the rest of the way. 3) RT & RG - Ducasse and Mills are still terrible and have no business being NFL starters, amazing Taylor hasn't been killed yet. 4) RB - McCoy just isn't the same guy anymore and Tolbert shouldn't be getting valuable carries. 5) DB - Wright was fine last week but back to being a liability against the Jets. Can't depend on Gaines to stay healthy even if we keep him Good news is we should be able to address most of these positions with our draft picks without even considering FA moves first.

Why did our D suck so bad tonight?
SaviorPeterman replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our defense sucked because they were exposed for what they are, a bottom third NFL defense whose glaring flaws and deficiencies have been masked by creating multiple turnovers in previous games. Also as I pointed out before, this front seven is terrible and severely lacking talent at just about every postion. Also I love KW but he's been getting blown off the ball badly this season as he shows his age. -
Incognito Says "TNF Games are BS"
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Talk about sore loser mentality, and Incognito played his worst game of the season last night. Pretty sure he wasn't saying this a few years ago when we beat the Jets in NY on TNF. -
Please don't ever question lack of national attention
SaviorPeterman replied to T-Bomb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What's most concerning is this game was probably one of the easiest ones left on paper the rest of the way. Now it looks like it was just a set up for some very ugly losses starting next week against a superior Saints team. -
Please don't ever question lack of national attention
SaviorPeterman replied to T-Bomb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both the local and national media is pounding the Bills right now. Jerry Sullivan has been salivating waiting for this day to come based on his twitter feed LOL. -
They swept us last year. And they are a better team than the Jets this year. Best case is 1-1 against them especially since we can't win on the road.
-
He's not but it's very telling when you are down 3 scores and Taylor is still dinking and dunking all over the field. If that's not Trent Edwardsesque not sure what is.

How do we not have a decent back up RB???
SaviorPeterman replied to The juice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really wish we would have landed Adrian Peterson if those rumors were true. Regardless both the oline and McCoy have been wildly inconsistent this year especially away from Buffalo they have flat out stunk.
