Bills Chargers Most Important of next 4 games
SaviorPeterman replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes we have historically not played well against the Chargers regardless of the venue. And ironically the last time (and only time) we beat them with Rivers as their QB was the blackout game in buffalo back in 2008 which ironically also came during one of our 5-2 starts that year. We actually were 5-1 after beating the Chargers in that game. Will likely be a large contingent of Bills fans in attendance but won't be nearly enough to slow down the Chargers who actually are still in very good position to win the AFC West now with KC losing 3 of 4 and simply not looking good either which is why I think we have a real shot to win that game if we can figure out how to play better on the road. -
Me too sadly. I think we hang tough early and show a decent response at home after being embarrassed by the Jets on National TV. But in the end the Saints will expose the fatal flaws that were on full display against the Jets for everybody to see, namely a very poor oline and dline that simply has not been very good this year outside of a few games. Also what is of major concern is the Bills offense is 26th overall (Saints #2 overall), defense 21st overall (Saints 15th overall). Something had to give eventually with these poor metrics.

I think he could still develop as a more complete player because like you mentioned a lot of scouting reports said he could struggle as a pass rusher, but some also said it might take him several years to develop in that area and just like with WR's, DE's are a position in which a lot of young players don't necessarily reach their potential right away. Either way I'm happy with the pick and in many ways this is still a 'rookie' season for Lawson playing in an entirely new defense and considering the circumstances last year as a true rookie not playing a whole season.
-
I understand that but he was a better pass rusher in college and that's why most scouts were high on him. He's not terrible by any means but certainly not living up to a top 20 draft pick and you can find many similar players in the mid to late rounds.

Bills Chargers Most Important of next 4 games
SaviorPeterman replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, these next 4 will pretty much determine the season and whether or not it's 2011 all over again or close to 2014 when we last finished above .500 The way the AFC is going 9-7 might get us in the tourney but still think 10 wins is a must to ensure it. -
How much impact will Benjamin have Sunday?
SaviorPeterman replied to JM2009's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't expect Benjamin's play to be LARGE right away until he gets acclimated to Taylor and the offense. And by the time he is a solid contributor it might be too little to late in terms of the bills possibly not being in the wildcard mix anymore. Either way I wouldn't expect much from Benjamin or the entire offense this week against the Saints. Lattimore is playing like Revis Island in it's prime 8 games into his rookie season and will likely be blanketing Benjamin all game long. -
While it's still early, I would say yes he's a bust because he's not delivering on his perceived strength coming out of college as a premier pass rusher. He's had moments and decent against the run, but you don't spend 1st round picks on players like that.

Sean McVay has the Rams playing LARGE and they are a legit SB caliber team with both their offense and Wade Phillips defense. Reminds me of the Kurt Warner's greatest show on turf teams circa 1999 - 2002.

Bills Chargers Most Important of next 4 games
SaviorPeterman replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with this only because of the wild card ramifications, but if the Bills go only go 1-3 in the next 4 that puts them at 6-6 with 2 games against the dolphins and one against the Pats left and no way we are sweeping those games (assuming an Indy home win in there well) to finish 10-6. Absolute worse Bills need to go 2-2 in the next four to have any real playoff shot. -
Is every team with 3 losses doomed?
SaviorPeterman replied to DisplacedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everybody should be very concerned and worried going forward. The Jets, while not terrible, are probably in the same boat as the Bengals (scrappy but not .500 or playoff team in the end) who also beat the Bills despite 3 turnovers. And speaking of turnovers, I've said all along that this team isn't going to be able to sustain that pace and without any turnovers we were soundly beat. I'm petrified about the Saints game for a number of reasons mostly because they aren't close to the caliber of any of the teams we've played this season, home or on the road. This sunday very well may dictate where the rest of the season is heading. -
SNF: OAK vs. MIA at 8:30 PM ET on NBC
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unreal. Dolphins defense are very opportunistic and well coached now watch Miami drive down the field for the go ahead and possibly game winning score. -
SNF: OAK vs. MIA at 8:30 PM ET on NBC
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a better chance they sweep us than us sweeping them. I have us spitting but only because Miami will likely have a playoff spot clinched in the final week of the season when we play them so we'll probably be going against backups. Would love to see the Raiders win tonight but Miami will likely find a way to win it late like contenders do. -
I love White and think he's going to be a great player but Lattimore is THE TRUTH and next Revis type of player in this league.

Saints might smoke us Sunday
SaviorPeterman replied to The juice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we'll be competitive early until the Saints pull away in the 2nd half. This weekend was a true 'separation sunday' where you saw the real contenders emerge and dominate their opponents, in fact that's what happened against us on Thu too although I don't believe the Jets are a playoff team or contender. -
The saints game will determine the season ?
SaviorPeterman replied to Cygnus99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we beat the Saints it proves Thu was simply a bad fluky loss. But at this point it's hard to see it happening for two reasons: 1) Saints are riding a 6 game winning streak and the metrics say they have one of the best offenses and defenses in the league. 2) Bills have not beat a team that is currently over .500 this season. I predict will come out and play as best we can and hang with the Saints early but they'll pull away in the 2nd half and likely win by 10+ points. -
Predicting the rest of the schedule
SaviorPeterman replied to Cygnus99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hard to see more than 2 wins the rest of the rest of the way unless what happened Thur and was a true fluke and anomaly. My gut feeling tells me that wasn't the case though the more I watch other teams around the league. For example both the Bengals and Bucs were crushed today and the Bills needed multiple turnovers to barely beat one of them and hang around with the other before losing. Both of these teams are flat out terrible. Won't be surprised if this is truly 2011 all over again with out only other win coming against a team like the Colts (who actually won on the road today). -
Chiefs game could be flexed to 4:25
SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pretty much. Chiefs own the Bills as it is and Andy Reid will be playing 4-D chess with his understudy and truly take him to school. -
Why is Bills offense so dreadful on the road??
SaviorPeterman replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes we do, Miami's front seven is one of the best in the league and certainly better than the Panthers and Jets. Going to be ugly for sure going against a defense like that, not just once either. -
Taiwan Jones out for the season
SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed, Tolbert is a grizzled vet and have no problem him on the roster but he should be getting as many carries as he is. Ducasse on the other hand is just grizzled period. It's baffling to me why Groy has not got a chance there or even Dion Dawkins now that Glenn is back at LT. -
Bills CAN get back on track vs New Orleans
SaviorPeterman replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we don't beat the Saints the ghosts of 2008 and 2011 loom LARGE for sure. Upcoming schedule could truly derail the season. -
Aaron Williams: Tanned, rested and ready
SaviorPeterman replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haven't heard Miami as one of the teams interested, but St Doug and the Jags brought him in for a workout right before the season. He was looking for too much money then though and not sure he was healthy either. -

Sorry to hear about your experience. Rowdy football fans + copious amounts of alcohol = NOT GOOD!
