  1. This is the point people are missing. If Taylor was able to pass the ball like an NFL QB and the offense as a whole executed a semblance of a sustained drive the Saints don't have the ball as long as they do and probably don't score as many points even though they were winning this game regardless. Jesus Christ this QB that some people are still defending pass for 58 yards yesterday and led the team to a whopping 3 points (take away the long McCoy run early and Taylor doesn't even get the field goal). He is a deer in head lights out there and McD knows it despite his public comments to the fans and media. This isn't rocket science Scott, when your defense is on the field more than your offense it certainly does mean they will get tired especially when the offense is constantly going 3 and out or having 2 - 3 minute possessions and giving the ball right back to the other team which means the defense is right back out there.
  2. Bills just love setting dubious marks and shattering obscure records.
  3. My biggest problem with this latest regime is they seem to be operating as if they've been told they are getting a minimum of 3+ years here to fix this mess. Which is why we here all this 'process' talk and we've seen the flurry of trades and roster moves since McD/Beane have been here. And it goes back to the Pegulas who I simply don't believe have the faintest clue when comes to owning pro sports franchises. Great people, absolutely. But these are he same folks that have now let two NFL coaches seduce them with big talk and little action and rush into a hire. Jury is obviously still out on McD but his defense is simply no better than Rex Ryan's so far, and even Rex's defense never allowed the type of game the Saints had yesterday. Same people that have also insisted on keeping like the likes of Russ Brandon and Jim Overdorf employed by this franchise instead of draining the swamp so to speak and ridding themselves of every festering piece of garbage from the previous ownership. Bottom line in a league still rife with parity and worse to first finished each year you have to figure the Bills would get lucky at some point. But honestly lucking into the playoffs this year by default at 8-8 or even possibly 7-9 because the rest of the conference is so terrible is the worst possibly scenario for this team. In the end though I still forsee an 18th straight year without the playoffs because the Bills will keep losing and somebody else will play well enough to get in. And watching the two teams behind the Bills in that category (Jags and Rams) actually play great this year and earn a spot in the playoffs will be added salt in the wound so to speak. Especially since the Rams are loaded with former Bills players and the Jags have the best coach the Bills had since Wade Phillips.
  4. This makes me want to puke quite frankly. Yes we are lacking talent just about everywhere but we hired another alleged defensive guru for a lot more than this
  5. Exactly. And at this point a 6th round back up QB has reached whatever ceiling he has. Taylor is the same exact guy he was in 2015 for this team and it's only going to get worse from here on out as opposing defense will continue stack the box and make Taylor be an NFL QB. In just a few series yesterday Peterman came in with poise and confidence and made throws Taylor has never even attempted in 2 1/2 years in Buffalo.
  6. Not really because like I said yesterday, the way this team is playing right now they would probably not be able to beat the Giants, 49ers, Browns, etc on the road. Even in Buffalo can't say for sure because this team is just terrible across the board right now.
  7. I agree with this but I'm honestly not sure who might go after him because when you study the film KW is definitely finished and a clear liability out there right now. Probably the worst DT on the field which is saying a lot considering the other scrubs around him on the DT depth chart right now. Sucks his career had to end like this but it's expected after the abuse his body has taken through the years giving so much for this franchise.
  8. How many more 2 yard dump off do we need to see from Taylor to Mike Tolbert on 3rd and long for this staff to understand Taylor isn't going to look anywhere near the WR's directions because he's too scared. That's just it, Taylor is scared. He's shook out there and looks totally clueless every time he drops back. You can't play QB scared in this league and when you have no confidence it's time to be on the bench and let somebody else try.
  9. Here are the official numbers on TOP courtesy of Mike Rodak: Why is this important? It's tangible evidence proving that the defense is struggling because Taylor has not been able to move this offense consistently. Too many 3 and outs and short possessions. And I've maintained for some time that eventually this defense will simply quit when they know they don't have a legit QB that can move the ball and score points. Not sure what other metrics McD and his staff need to see that it's simply not working with Taylor.
  10. The book on Taylor has been out for some time. And McD and his staff can't be stupid enough to not understand every team we play is going to continue to stack the box and force Taylor to beat them with his arm and he can't and won't do that. Just trying to understand why McD is latched on to a guy that Doug Whaley even tried to get rid off before he was fired. It's time to move on.
  11. Peterman was ranked as the 2nd overall rookie QB behind Patrick Mahones in preseason. And my sources in the scouting world maintain he's a steal where we drafted him and I've already posted many scouting reports and info on him that share similar thoughts. Yes it's still way too early to get giddy but the bottom line we've spent 2 1/2 years on a former 6th round draft pick that was brought here by the previous regime. Time to give a 5th round guy a shot who is this regimes guy.
  12. LOL only a few more weeks until we are on the wrong side of that bracket. It's not Nov/Dec in Buffalo without the words 'In the Hunt' next to the Bills.
  13. Would love to see Peterman start against them but Hoodie loves destroying rookie QB's and devouring their souls. Regardless Pats are doing what they do best once the calender turns November and they aren't losing a game again in the regular season.
  14. NP certainly looked confident and poised today regardless of the situation. And he threw the ball in tight windows and led WR's open which is the polar opposite of what Taylor does. This is why I still given Dennison the benefit of the doubt (other than the unhealthy obsession with giving Tolbert valuable reps in this offense) and believe this passing game would look totally different with a competent QB under center.
  15. I still think the Dolphins are getting into the playoffs and not ruling out the Raiders making a late push either. Bills are still #6 right now by default but give it a few more weeks and they'll be in official 'in the hunt' status and then what few fans left still hanging onto playoff hopes can start the pointless scoreboard watching each week hoping much better teams start to magically play like crap and lose out.
  16. Secretly Sullivan has been licking his chops and waiting to write this article. In fact he probably had the meat of it drafted for some time just needed to edit it and replace the Patriots with the Saints. Regardless we are past the point of concern with this team and can't envision a scenario in which we win a game over the next 3 weeks unless a miracle happens. Not even sure Peterman can provide that miracle either at this point but sure would love to see him play.
  17. For the people blaming the defense and not believing Taylor is at any fault, it seems some of you are simply not grasping the fact that Taylor not being able to move this team and constantly going 3 and out or only holding onto the ball for a few minutes per drive go hand in hand with the defense being gassed. The Saints held the ball for 41:33 today vs the Bills 18.37, basically a 2:1 ratio. Last week the Jets also had a distinct advantage in time of possession basically until the 4th quarter when Taylor dinked and dunked for 5 yards a pop in garbage time for a few late TD's to make the final time of possession misleading even though the Jets still finished ahead. With that said, yes this defense is still not very good regardless but being on the field so much in the first 7 games obviously caught up to them in the last two weeks and been a contributing factor. But 58 yards speaks for itself and that is simply not what a franchise QB does even on his worst day.
  18. Yes but again Dareus isn't the reason the last two weeks happened. This was coming for a myriad of reasons and even if we kept Dareus we were still getting thumped and losing these games.
  19. Also this is the 10 year anniversary since our last SNF appearance, a 56-10 loss against this same Pats team also the last time lost by 34+ points at home like we did today. Pretty scary how this franchise's ugly history seems to come full circle in the present.
  20. Remember that terrible Pats defense, only one team has been better in recent weeks on that side of the ball. Hint: We played them today.
  21. And yet the Rams are on their way to a the playoffs and possible division title. Either way the NFL or rams ownership could probably give a damn about selling out games. They are making a fortune on the TV revenues alone which has always been the endgame with the NFL force feeding a team back to the LA market.
  22. Most of our front seven is backup caliber at best. And even Jordan Poyer is showing why he was mostly a backup on the Browns the last few weeks and in typical Bills fashion playing like trash after a hot start to the season.
  23. Again the problem with having multiple draft picks as trade ammunition is you have to find a willing partner to do it. And the problem is most of the teams drafting ahead of us this year also desperately need a QB including the Giants who obviously will be moving on from Eli Manning. Also have to consider that any team willing to trade with us with have leverage and can ask for a kings ransom in return. And if a team that needs a QB passes on one and trades with us could be very telling as to the quality of the prospects available. In any event McD and Beane need to do the smart thing and completely tank from here on out because at 5-11 we will certainly land a top 10 draft pick and might not need to waste any draft picks to get a QB assuming Peterman won't be the guy. We aren't going anywhere this year regardless.
  24. Just remember Doug Whaley wanted to dump Taylor and McD is the one that said no. That in itself still bothers me to this day and if McD is truly latched on to this guy his tenure in Buffalo might be shorter than Rex's.
  25. There's no guarantees we win another game with the way this team looks right now even against the Colts. And for all the heat I took I still think the Dolphins sweep us, after all they only lost 20-0 against the Saints and that was overseas in London. Also finishing dead last in the division is still very much on the table even though the Jets lost today at Tampa.
