  1. We likely weren't winning another game with Taylor as the starter and now we'll at least have a chance to change the entire make up of the offense so yes it was a good move. Also let's say Peterman does play very good to great this week and we win. This gives Andy Reid and Hoodie very little film on Peterman to work with in terms of trying to truly make him look like a rookie in these next few weeks.
  2. If Peterman is terrible this weekend I think it proves that this team was the biggest mirage we've seen during the drought, more so than 2008 and 2011. I also think it's a very bad omen heading into year two of this new regime because unlike with 2008/2011, the coaches of those teams were in their 3rd and 2nd season's with the team and pretty much lame ducks as Jaraun was fired midseason the following year and Gailey after the next year. I really believe that McD doesn't recover from his first year if we lose our or only win another game or two and also why the move was made now to Peterman whether it's truly desperation or not.
  3. Believe me I've been waiting for this moment since we drafted him. And I yearn for vindication after so many folks think my username and avatar is some kind of sick joke. And ironically it's my gut feeling telling me this time big things are coming starting this Sunday even though my in heart I'm always going to think anything this team teach touch is destined for failure.
  4. Remember NP and Pitt handed Clemson their only loss last year, on the road to boot. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/2017/11/17/nathan-peterman-buffalo-bills-signature-college-moment-vs-clemson/873818001/
  5. Arm strength is one flaw that can be fixed through time. So if that was truly the main knock on NP I think we are in goo shape assuming his experience in Pitt's pro style offense translates well with what Dennison wants him to run in Buffalo.
  6. That fact this kid was the only guy running around in gym shorts in the freezing cold when the practiced outside tells me all I need to know. Just like with NP on offense, time to turn to another young rookie stud to help the defense.
  7. Dont be surprised if benjamin makes some crazy catches now that we have a real QB to get the ball to him in the endzone and place it where he can go make a play.
  8. It's not just that Shady, sources have also told me that Peterman has better getting better and better in practice for weeks and pretty has outperformed Taylor in the setting for some time now despite not taking nearly as many reps as Taylor was being the starter.
  9. If NP does what I think he's going to do for this offense and team in the coming weeks stay tuned and buckled up.....drama might be an understatement.
  10. As I was saying with Mariota looking like Tyrod...nice deep pass but still hope they lose. Also anybody find it ironic that the last two coaches that led this team to a 9-7 record in Buffalo are about to take their current teams to the playoffs? Both Mularki and St. Doug in the same division to boot.
  11. No excuse at this point that this young stud isn't out there. Would instantly improve the run defense and bring a permanent blue collar, lunch player presence to the front seven...bloodied gauze firmly inserted up the nose and all.
  12. Luck has been in the league six years and pretty much a finished product at this point. Don't get me wrong, still a very good finished product but my point is that NP is a developmental prospect with tons of upside which is also why he wasn't drafted as high as some experts thought. Already seeing a lot of comparisons out there to guys like Favre and Romo because of his gunslinger mentality. And considering we play some less than stellar passing defenses in the coming weeks his play could be LARGE and we might see some elusive 300 yard passing days and shootouts. Bottom line we need somebody to score points to have any chance of staying in the playoff picture regardless.
  13. He's not living quite up to the hype just yet, actually looks a lot like Tyrod but with much better pocket awareness.
  14. No thanks on Luck, at this point NP has more upside and a higher ceiling. He's a very similar player to Luck anyway.
  15. I honestly don't think we would have won another game with Taylor starting, even a team like the Colts would have defended this offense with ease. And you are right about the game film, I've studied it intensely for weeks now and obviously so has McD and his staff. Our skill position players are much better than the stats something tells me we won't be at at the bottom of the league much longer in terms of completions to WR's.
  16. Fully aware that NP's body of work thus far has been preseason and garbage time but Taylor has also shown he's incapable of processing NFL defenses and making NFL throws regardless of whether it's early in the game or garbage time like the last few weeks. I think some folks are going to be pleasantly surprised when they see NP go against a complex NFL defense and be able to read it quickly and also change plays at the line of scrimmage as coverage dictates. The offense he played in at PITT was as close to an NFL system you'll find in college.
  17. I've always enjoyed Vic's weekly podcasts. Joe Buscalia and Sal Mariana also do some pretty hard hitting weekly analysis via podcast.
  18. Not sure I agree with Carucci on this simply because it's a moot point since we weren't going to the playoffs with Taylor anyway. Also I've made contact with various sources today and they confirmed this change was more about how far along Peterman has come since training camp and has outplayed Taylor in practice for weeks and that this team simply needed a spark to keep their faint playoff hopes alive. Hopefully in these next 7 games (and possibly more) Peterman shows why he has all the tools to be a franchise QB. My gut feeling tells me good things are about to happen regardless.
  19. I'm about as sick and tired of the Steelers and Big Ben as I am Brady and the Pats. Thankfully the steelers similar run of success will soon be over once Big Ben retires. In the near future though certainly need them to beat the titans tonight.
  20. I'm so paranoid, anxious and concerned right now I feel like my chest is going to explode! Sunday afternoon can't get here soon enough.
  21. Gruden seems to love just about every QB but it's not a secret most pundits and experts had a much higher grade on NP than 5th round, some projecting as high as late 1st/high 2nd rounder.
  22. I don't believe TT said it anyway but if so you can't have can't have this in your lockerroom under any circumstance especially with the ongoing Kaernick fiasco and current political climate.
  23. I've also maintained this move was also about defense. But never underestimate a coaches pride and how pissed McD and Beane were being embarrassed at home by a Saints team they faced twice a year in Carolina. I do believe the Saints are a potential championship contender this year but you have to play better at home and show you belong in this league whether you are a 3-13 caliber squad or wildcard contender like many thought of the Bills just a few weeks ago. Bottom line they weren't going down in flames with Tyrod Taylor, if it happens it's going to be with their guy NP.
  24. Shady - I'm still very concerned about this team as a whole especially the defense, but something tells me they will be motivated to play hard if they know they have a guy on the other side of the ball that can help keep them off the field so much and do his part. As for the gunslinger stuff - no doubt NP will probably throw more picks, but he'll also make beautiful well timed throws we haven't seen in Buffalo for some time and take chances to win games. People are going to realize Buffalo does have an NFL caliber receiving corps after all.
  25. I think a full season in most circumstances is adequate but nowadays a lot of teams (including the Bills) simply can't wait for that. NP is in all likelihood getting the rest of this season which will be 7 full games barring injury, and depending on what he does he'll likely get more at least to start the 2018 season. If he's terrible and this team continues to look like they did the last few weeks then obviously we are still in play for a top 10 draft pick and likely going QB right away in the draft.
