  1. Go beat the Pats at home next week and perhaps this speech will be more than just hollow talk in hindsight. Either way it's still hard to be excited and not be deceived by what happened today....barely beating another bad team in the midst of their own collapse.
  2. That's a valid point but the Pats are a dominant team right now compared to where the Bills are at obviously. And for people thumping Taylor and the QB situation again after today he's got a real chance to prove he's NFL starting material next week especially if Benjamin is back in the lineup. Just don't see it happening and really don't matter who plays QB for the Bills....Hoodie and Brady don't lose these type of games especially in Nov/Dec.
  3. Taylor fans that keep pointing to last week still don't get it. Their guy isn't going to be here next year and Peterman will be. But in the end the long term QB answer for this team probably won't be here until next years draft at the earliest. Either way Taylor is not the answer and go ahead an thump your chest over his jaw dropping stats this week I suppose you deserve it.
  4. Pats have won 7 games in a row and lead the league in every defensive category during this current run. It's going to be very ugly next week sadly.
  5. Peterman having a terrible debut has nothing to do with Taylor being the same guy he's always been which is why he was benched last week in the first place. I just wish Taylor fans could see the obvious, he's a game manager at best and that's exactly what he did today against another team in the midst of a collapse.
  6. So far this looks like one of the better drafts the Bills have had in recent years, but we've been fooled before and the key will be what these guys do in their 2nd, 3rd, etc NFL seasons and if they can avoid injury setbacks that have derailed many promising young players careers with this team. If this new regime can hit on their draft picks in the top 3 rounds like we did this year it will go a long way to ending the drought and getting this team back to relevance.
  7. Chiefs have scored something like 1 TD in their last 30 offensive possessions and that came today against us. Yes it was nice to get a win and end a 3 game skid but this is still a very bad roster with a subpar starting QB that tried his best to blow the game several times in the 2nd half.
  8. It was nice to exorcise some demons but the only way this game will matter down the stretch is if the Bills can figure out how to get to 10 wins and into the playoffs. And with 2 games left against the Pats I don't see that as a possibility. I do see the Chiefs continuing to crumble though especially with a game left against the Chargers who are now just one game back for the division and certainly playing like the best team in the AFCW. Either way it would be nice if the chiefs truly flame out and we get our 1st round pick from them ends up being in the 15th - 20th overall range.
  9. Be careful what you wish for. Today was classic trademark meaningless late season 'big win' by the Bills but reality is coming in a major way next week.
  10. I'm not shocked by todays win, in fact I saw it coming and predicted it this morning. But at the end of the day Taylor is the same guy he's always been...makes a few great plays and can keep a drive alive with this legs, but is wildly inconsistent in most cases including very inaccurate throws that prevent a WR from making YAC or barely catching the ball because of where it's thrown (see the Oleary play for perfect example, a good throw there and obviously that's a 1st down and lot more which the announcers hammered home as well). I think on a team with a truly great defense Taylor certainly can be a playoff QB but this is the 2nd head coach that has tried that model and ultimately has (and will) fail. And let's not be fooled by the defense today playing a Chiefs team that has been terrible in recent weeks on both sides of the ball. Regardless a win is a win and this team has found a way to generate some false hope at least until next weekend when the Pats do their usual thing in Buffalo and embarrass this team similar to what we saw in the previous three games.
  11. Would make sense if this team had a real shot at the playoffs but don't see it happening. Also no way we are replacing such a critical piece of the offense in Mike Tolbert. Not having him in the lineup obviously contributed to NP's rookie struggles last week...not.
  12. I also have a feeling that the Bills find a way to win today in a classic 'suck us back in with false hope' game. All the ingredients are in place against a struggling Chiefs team that has been in a similar free fall as of late. But then again the Bills always seem to be the perfect remedy for other struggling teams to get healthy and back on track so to speak so wouldn't be surprised if KC comes out and puts this team away by halftime like the last two week against the Chargers and Saints.
  13. It's a very bleak situation and if not for a very soft early schedule this team no doubt would be sitting with 2 or 3 wins max right now and be where most expected them before the season. This is why it's almost a worst case scenario for this regime even if they don't win another game because they managed 5 too many wins with one of the worst rosters in the NFL. Year after year the Bills cheat themselves out of a top 3 - 5 draft pick and end up picking around the #10 overall spot which misses the elite blue chip players in most cases including QB's, DE, LT, etc types that are truly franchise changers.
  14. If this regime was willing to make a QB change midseason, I'm still trying to figure out what is stopping them from making multiple changes to the oline. You can't use the continuity up front excuse when most of your starters have been terrible and one has been out most of the year with injury. Simply no excuse at this point for none of the following to not have happened by now: 1) Giving Ryan Groy a shot at RG (or Center if you move Wood to guard). 2) Giving John Miller the start at RG again 3) Giving Henderson a shot at RT 4) Starting Dawkins at RT if/when Glenn plays LT Just really have to question what this team is doing and if it's the oline coach that is refusing to reshuffle the line he probably needs to be fired before Dennison in the offseason.
  15. I'm thankful for family and good fortune in life but not for being a fan of the most pathetic pro sports organization out there 17 years running strong.
  16. I really don't see the Pegulas selling the Bills or Sabres anytime soon because there is always money to be made no matter how bad and how long both of their teams suck. Same reason why Trump was salty after losing out to the Pegulas because owning an NFL franchise is something all billionaires covet.
  17. 17 years soon to be 18. Fans have every right to bash this pathetic organization from top to bottom. And when another (not as) terrible team like the Ravens or Chargers makes the playoffs this year with an 8-8 record it will sting even more knowing this team squandered another chance in a down season to get in.
  18. Still think this will be a carbon copy of 2011 where we'll get one more meaningless 'big win' and look like world beaters for a day. In 2011 it was Denver at home late in the season after a 6 game losing streak when we blew them out at home. This year probably the Colts game although they have actually looked competitive in their recent games unlike the Bills.
  19. Nearly double digit underdogs to team that just lost to the 1-8 Giants and has lost 4 of 5 overall. Just goes to show no matter how pathetic some NFL teams are there is always the Bills that will no doubt make KC look like a powerhouse again this weekend.
  20. The good old 'In the hunt' graphic, wouldn't be Thanksgiving in Buffalo without being mathematically alive for a playoff birth we all know isn't coming. Sad thing is this team could lose the next 3 straight and will still be 'in the hunt' because of how pathetic the AFC is this year.
  21. This is honestly the right move, and might be a good thing for both QB's both in the short and long term. I still think we'll see NP again this year but might as well see if Taylor can show something different against a terrible Chiefs defense. Believe it or not this game is winnable although in the end I still expect another loss even if it's not by 20 - 30 points.
  22. My point is we if we keep St. Doug, obviously Schwartz stays as his DC too unless he would have got another HC offer.
  23. Pegula's hand picked Rex Ryan and McD. And let both of them do whatever they please including Rex bringing in his worthless brother to run the defense and McD dumping Whaley for his buddy in Carolina. Let's not forget about Rex staying the night down at the Pegula's house in Florida to 'seal the deal' so to speak. And just recently you can find a picture of Pegula and McD walking hand in hand boarding the team plane the other day for San Diego. Whether or not Pegulas are meddlesome they certainly have no clue what they doing and should have hired a true professional to make the these decisions with the Bills and Sabres instead of the likes of Russ Brandon, who by the way is still pulling the strings behind the scenes because he's another Pegula favorite apparently.
  24. Really don't care at this point and both will be long gone from this team in the offseason.
  25. Forget Schwartz, it was not keeping St. Doug who I always felt was going to be the next Bill Parcells type of coach and he's well on his way to turning around another pathetic NFL franchise in his first season as HC in Jax. Biggest problem with the Pegulas is they seem to be easily manipulated by the used car salesman types, whether Russ Brandon (who miraculously not only kept his gig with the Bills but had it expanded to the Sabres as well), Rex Ryan and now McD/Beane.
