  1. I still think that both the Jags and Titans are a lock, regardless who wins the division. So it still boils down to one spot left and looks like it will in fact be the Ravens. Flacco is a shell of himself and their offense is terrible but they have a defense that is capable of carrying them which is what everybody expected the Bills to do the last few years with Rex Ryan and now McD. If the Ravens beat the Lions this week (the first team they've faced in weeks with a competent QB) it's definitely over unless a miracle happens and the Bills find a way to upset the Patriots.
  2. As sad as the Browns organization is at least they've been to the playoffs once in the last 17 years unlike the Bills. Either way they need to get serious and make sure they finally get a franchise QB this year since they are likely getting the #1 overall pick even if they manage to win one game.
  3. It's very typical indeed and going 9-7 and missing the playoff does nothing but hurt this franchise in terms of draft position and sell more false hope heading into 2018. Ravens defense is legit and if they beat the Lions this week they are definitely getting into the playoffs and probably only losing one more game (at Pit). And still think Jax and Ten are locks just still TBD in terms of who wins the AFCS and who gets one of the WC spots. Just wish this team would have truly tanked this year so they could control their own destiny with a top 3 draft pick instead of pretending they were good enough for the playoffs.
  4. This team has a history of being overly cautious with players even when they want to suit up and play so I have a hard time seeing them risking further injury and damage and letting Benjamin play this week or anytime soon. And the fact he hasn't been placed on IR yet must be some sort of Russ Brandon marketing ploy to sell tickets (and false hope).
  5. Bills are 5-2 with Gaines in the lineup. But the big issues is obviously keeping this guy healthy and in the lineup. Will be interesting to see if we resign him but obviously still need to address the position either way because guys like Shareece Wright aren't the answer.
  6. Mayfield certainly is a talented player. But too many red flags and personality issues similar to Johnny Manziel. Still think NP has tremendous upside and franchise QB potential anyway so if the choice was between him and Mayfield I'm sticking with NP.
  7. It's downright scary what an evil genius Belichik is. He certainly know the AFC East teams from top to bottom. Tredavious White will probably be starting alongside Gilmore for the Pats when his rookie contract is up.
  8. I'll never forget the classics like when he called Ryan Denney a dominant force on our dline and said there's no coach in league he respects more than Dick Jaraun.
  9. I've never seen such hype and misleading information on an NFL QB in my life. From the way some of these outsiders speak about TT you'd think he's a former #1 overall draft pick. Good grief the guy was a 6th round pick and backup most of his career in Baltimore for a reason. If we are going to hype up a QB on our team can it at least be NP? At least he was drafted by us and higher than TT was.
  10. Why would he? Also the Pats have had some worse upsets since he's been there including one in Cleveland not too long ago when they had one of their standard 3-13 type of seasons.
  11. Interesting numbers here, particularly the Bills playoff chances only dropping 4% with an expected loss to the Pats on Sunday:
  12. Maybe if Benjamin was healthy and acclimated to the offense we'd have prayer but the only lathering this week end will be the Pats likely coasting to an easy win by halftime.
  13. I really do wonder if that's the case. Most long time fans know RW is why Flutie was benched for Rob Johnson in the Music City Miracle game. And while I don't necessarily have a problem moving on from TT, I hope the Pegulas truly aren't dictating the QB situation behind the scenes or it really don't matter who we have at GM and HC they are both destined to fail. Either way can't imagine Pegula Sports and Entertainment truly enjoys watching both of their pro sports teams continue to suck, especially the Sabres talk about a full blown dumpster fire and worst team in the NHL.
  14. I don't think Matthews fits into the future plans here especially since we have similar and better players in Zay Jones and Benjamin. And while I like what Deonte Thompson has done, this team still needs to find a true burner and deep threat and I expect that to happen via FA or the draft.
  15. Do we really have to go through this again? The bottom line is the metrics on Taylor don't tell the whole story, specifically the intangibles like winning games when trailing by 7+ points, making tough throws in coverage, etc. He's nothing more than Trent Edwards with mobility (who by the way Belichik also praised back in the day). How many more games do you need to see this guy running out of bounds like a coward or throwing 3 yard passes on 3rd and long to understand that's why his QB rating is good? Yes exactly. Hoodie is always playing 4-D chess and when he's talking a player up you know he's terrible hence the reason he's heaping praise on TT this week. The way the Pats defense is playing lately they are going to feast on TT or NP so it really don't matter. But I'm guessing TT will have about 75 yards at haltime, if that and only start taking chances when down 2 TD's or more if he's not pulled before then. Also the tape on TT from the Chiefs game was atrocious upon further review, we are certainly fortunate we played the Chiefs and the defense had the game they did.
  16. I know that's why I posted it, and he has a habit of talking up the opponents worst players and coaches. I remember when he said classic stuff like he respects Dick Jaraun the most of all coaches in the NFL and Ryan Denney is dominant player on the dline. I fact I think this was before they trashed the Bills 52-17 on Sunday night football in 2007. This week it's TT and he cited the low turnover rate and rushing ability which we all know is misleading anyway and funny Hoodie specifically mentioned it since that's what all the TT defenders keep citing as well. Here's some more good Hoodie quotes from today:
  17. But the biggest question is did this order come from the Pegulas? And if so did they also tell McD to bench Taylor for NP a few weeks ago? http://buffalonews.com/2017/11/29/rex-ryan-says-he-was-told-to-bench-tyrod-taylor-last-season-which-led-to-his-firing-bills/
  18. Based on how they've looked the last few weeks and their upcoming schedule they probably aren't losing another game and will win the AFCW. Also will make NP's performance not so bad in hindsight. Chargers are one of the most complete teams in the NFL loaded with talent and playing their best football of the season when it matters most right now.
  19. This is a misleading thread/title. And even if we were to pull of a huge upset there are no guarantees we get into the playoffs even with 10 wins. Other teams have the advantage right now because of conference records specifically Ravens, Jags and Titans and I believe all of them would beat out the Bills if they all finished with the same record.
  20. Today at the Pats press conference there was vintage Hoodie propping the opposition up and throwing random credit at the Bills including: - Taylor being tough to be prepare for because he don't turn the ball over and leads the league in rushing for QB's - Bills defense hides their coverages well. - McD has done a great job this year - They are a tough team to face, can't take a division opponent lightly on the road. Here is the link if anybody is interested: http://www.patriots.com/media-center/videos/press-conference Edit, here's also an articles summarizing BB's praise for McD and the Bills: http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/11/what_patriots_bills_belichick_had_to_say_about_sean_mcdermotts_buffalo_bills.html
  21. I truly give credit to the optimistic fans that believe things are going to be different this year and that a win last week against an atrocious Chiefs team that might lose the rest of their games was some sort of spark for the Bills despite what happened the previous 3 weeks. In reality though I simply do not see the Bills having any chance against the Pats and doubt they probably will find a way to lose against the Dolphins and even a team like the Colts at home in true Bills December fashion.
  22. I have a feeling we'll see NP next week after Taylor does what he does best against a superior team like the Pats and runs out of bounds or throws 3 yard passes on 3rd down when we are trailing by 14+ points. There is a reason why McD has a short leash on him and we all know he did absolutely nothing to beat the a terrible Chiefs team. So hopefully NP gets the start the rest of the way. In hindsight the NP game against the Chargers won't look so bad when they make a deep playoff run this year. Looking at the Chargers schedule they are going to win out and finish 10-6, worse case 9-7 and take that division.
  23. Giants are another potential team that TT may end up on next year because they are going to need a veteran to keep the seat warm for Darnold, Rosen, etc.
  24. Hopefully it changes someday and I'll jump for joy when the Bills finally find a QB that's even half as good as Brady.
  25. I still think NP is the better player simply because of upside and prototypical NFL QB ability. And pretty sure that's why McD made the move against the chargers even though it backfired in spectacular Bills fashion. Also same reason he isn't committing to Taylor the rest of the season and beyond next week because pretty sure we'll see NP again after the Pats destroy us and Taylor continues to throw 3 yard passes and run out of bounds on 3rd down when we are down 14+ points to the Patriots. TT has hit whatever ceiling he has in this league and anybody that honestly believes he's going to magically get better on a new team next year is kidding themselves.
