  1. It's not that this team doesn't have pride, they just don't have players that knows what it's like to win consistently, make the playoffs, etc. They have a bunch of veterans who have been on losing teams their entire careers and that's where it starts. And as much as it sucks some of these guy may never see playoff game in Buffalo (especially Kyle Williams) it's simply time to move on.
  2. Like McD himself said, "I'm not disappointed in the decision, I'm disappointed in the result' And that probably does some up the Chargers game perfectly for NP but at least we'll get to see him the rest of the way because even if Taylor is healthy there is no value add to waste time starting him at this point especially if this team truly wants to get an idea of what they have in Peterman heading into a crucial offseason.
  3. First and foremost, this obviously was expected today. The Patriots are who they are and they simply don't lose games in December whether it's a game at home or on the road, bottom feeder or contender. They would have likely done the same to another division leader or contender today like them today because it's simply how they roll. - With that said, you do have to wonder if the outcome might be different had we scored a TD on what up until the TT turnover was an impressive drive. Not going to heap on Taylor because most expected him to play his usual game and he did. But it sucks his Bills career (likely) ended in the way it did. Either way it's obviously not meant to be here and he'll certainly get a chance to compete for a starting job elsewhere next year. - Peterman time again, made some nice throws today and should have had at least a few more completions if not for drops. Overall nothing overly impressive other than looking like a real NFL QB when he throws the ball. But will be interesting to see what he does next week against the Colts at home. Most probably had next week as the game he would officially get his first start anyway but looking forward to seeing him in the final 4 games of the season and still think we should double down on QB's even if he lights it up. Even if he's flat out terrible though can't imagine we'll see Taylor on the field again this year. - Eric Lee, if this wasn't some sort of fluky type of performance that seems to happen with no name guys against the Bills you have to start to immediately question how this coach and GM let this guy go. Because with this defense as bad as it's been in recent weeks no way this guy didn't deserve a roster spot. But if he's some hidden gem it will prove to be a massive failure of talent evaluation. - Gronk dirty play, was completely uncalled for and you hope White is ok. But you do have to wonder if that was payback for him running his mouth. Hoodie is always watching and will certainly sweep the leg when he gets a chance. Either way Gronk better be suspended. Fitting the Bills were basically screwed anyways having to start 1st and 25 because of the Hughes penalty. - Playoffs, hopefully nobody is still expecting this regardless of the 'in the hunt' graphics but if they are everything that needed to happen for the Bills to still have a chance didn't today which is pretty typical this time of year. I didn't think the Ravens were that good but they are if their offense has all of a sudden come alive they will be very dangerous team with that defense. Going to also suck seeing both St. Doug and Mularkey take their teams to the playoffs too especially since they were the last HC's to lead the Bills to winning records. Still very possible Anthony Lynn and the Chargers go to the playoffs too which adds more salt in the wound since there are still folks out there that felt we should have kept him as the head coach. Either way if the Bills finish 9-7 it's not going to be good enough this year. Even 10 - 6 they probably lose out on tiebreakers. Regardless enjoy the last 4 games of the season and the holidays with your families. There's a lot more to appreciate in life than a pathetic football team that's going to be sitting home for the 18th straight year when the playoffs start. The full cycle of a baby becoming an adult, graduating high school, old enough to smoke, drive and heading to college.
  4. If the defense gave up because they believed they couldn't win with Peterman, what was their excuse against the Jets and Saints when Taylor was starting? Remember he was completely terrible in both games when it mattered. What about the last 2 years when Taylor has had similar performances? Just think some folks are putting too much stock on the team as a whole and some perceived loyalty to Taylor. He's long gone after this season is over and so will any vets who aren't happy with the decision.
  5. I don't either and it's a moot point but some folks will continue to insist otherwise. Chargers look to be firing on all cylinders right now and they were the last team to even keep a game with the Patriots close and hold a lead against them. Still think they are about to win out looking at their schedule which would have them winning their division in the process. So in hindsight its' not going to look nearly as bad knowing we beat every other team in the AFCW but the eventual division winner and playoff team.
  6. They aren't everything especially when evaluating QB sometimes because they also rely heavily on advanced metrics and QB rating type of formula which can be easily manipulated like it is with TT (i.e. running out of bounds or throwing a 2 yard pass on 3rd down instead of trying to actually convert it and possibly turning the ball over). But their formulas with most other positions have been rock solid because you can't manipulate those metrics. Olinemen either make a block or they don't, and in Glenn's defenese he's also had some decent ratings in the past from PFF.
  7. Aside from the gamelpan, Tyrod Taylor has to understand that he's playing not just for the rest of the season in Buffalo this week, but a shot at getting another starting job elsewhere next year. This game is a true audition in every sense of the word. So if he comes out and posts the usual statline (170 yards 1 TD, 20 rushing yards, etc) it's not a smart career move on his part. And he said himself that 16 points won't cut it against the Pats this week so hopefully at the very least he plays aggressive and doesn't worry about turnovers. I do fully expect us to turn back to NP if Taylor looks terrible again this week and we're blown out. No need to hold onto any false playoff hopes any longer and use the 'but we can still win the other games and get to 9 wins' excuse.
  8. It was a sad end to a great career for JK and overall run of dominance by the K-Gun era Bills but I wouldn't consider that game among the worse losses in Bills history, especially since that was the beginning of a very good Jags team that went on to multiple playoff season under Coughlin/Brunell. They also knocked off a much better team that year in Denver with John Elway the next week after beating the Bills.
  9. It's pretty obviously that McD/Beane are trying to rid themselves from the previous regime as much as possible given the flurry of big name players and recent draft picks that are long gone since they got here. They certainly aren't done either and I think it's pretty obvious Taylor will be one of the first players to go in the offseason unless he miraculous lights it up down the stretch and gets this team to the playoffs. And yes Glenn has no off the field issues but he has a big contract which is still the main reason we moved on from Dareus in addition to the off the field and character issues. Who knows what they will ultimately do with Glenn but I can't imagine at the very least a condition of him staying would have to be a restructured contract.
  10. Here's another interesting video of Hoodie analyzing the Bills game film and heaping praise on Hyde, Taylor and Alexander: http://www.patriots.com/video/2017/12/01/belestrator-previewing-buffalo-bills
  11. Either way the injuries the last few seasons are magnified because of his contract and age. And I still get the sense he's a guy this new regime simply wants to move on from just like with Dareus although it wasn't as big an issue right away because Glenn doesn't have the off the field baggage like Dareus did.
  12. This is absurd for a number of reasons. No loss is worse than the 4 SB games. And right after that the Music City Miracle is also significant for number of reasons, most notably since it was our last playoff game since the drought began the following season. But let's say we do finish 9-7 and miss the playoffs by one game, why should we look at just the Chargers game? The Bengals and Jets were equally horrible, especially the latter considering it's the only game the Jets have won in the last 6 games since starting 3-2. Also I think a lot of people are underestimating the Chargers especially since 4 days after the Peterman debacle they went into Dallas and made a much better QB than Tyrod Taylor look pathetic as well on Thanksgiving. And something tells me in hindsight the Peterman game won't look nearly as bad either when the Chargers win out and win the AFCW and likely make a serious playoff run. Bottom line we weren't winning that game no matter who started at QB.
  13. Respecting what NE has done doesn't make me a pats fan. Again, we are privy to something truly special. Not saying all Bills fans need to embrace it and enjoy because I certainly don't and can't wait until it's all over. But at the end of the day nothing is changing the fact that BB and Brady are the GOAT even if they never make it to another SB again or win one.
  14. Personally I have no issues with Glenn, I've always thought he's a very solid player who certainly shows elite flashes. Basically like Wood has been for this team through the years. But just like with Wood there have been some injury issues, and my biggest concern right now is age and his contract. Also doesn't anybody else think it's odd that we didn't really hear much about Glenn during the offseason in terms of serious injury concerns? Then come training camp and he's magically dealing with a serious issue. Not saying he's faking it but this should have been addressed in the offseason especially if surgery is/was needed. Just think at the end of the day it's time to move on especially since it now appears we have his heir apparent.
  15. Wish White wouldn't have said this, Hoodie is always watching and will now look to make an example of him.....
  16. Agree, that's Jerry Rice who is hands down the best WR ever. Not a knock on Montana by any means as he's certainly a top 5 QB of all time but Jerry Rice truly one of the best players ever at any position.
  17. Dawkins has quietly had a good rookie season and improved as the year has gone on. Have to believe we've seen the last of Cordy Glenn. Only concern at this point is whether or not we can trade him given the injury issues and essentially missing most of the 2017 campaign.
  18. The official reason for the BBMB shut down is not that complicated, Russ Brandon (not the Pegulas) hired a sock puppet named Derek Boyko in Feb to be the new VP of communications for the Bills. One of the reasons Brandon brought this guy on is because he was trying for years to shut down the Eagles official message board on their website due to 'negative fan experience' inadvertently hurting ticket and merchandise sales. Keep in mind the Eagles have had a many good years the last 10+ years compared to the Bills but yet a few down seasons truly riled up the fan base there especially before they landed Carson Wentz a few years back. In any event, after the latest regime change Brandon and his new errand boy made a very quick decision to shut down the BBMB for good because they new the situation there was going to get progressively worse with the expectation of a truly terrible 2017 in a full blown rebuilding campaign. It's no secret many long time 'homer' type of posters even stopped drinking the koolaid flowing from Orchard Park. Same reason Bills official beat reporter Chris Brown was forced to stop posting on the forum as well because he was relentlessly attacked from all sides for posting the usual pro Bills drivel and canned response type of statements. So you can believe this story or not but this is what one of the former mods I've kept in touch with shared with me after the dust settled and they figured out what happened. Also the moderators weren't even told this was happening either that's how sudden it was. Same mod also acknowledged what most long time BBMB already know....T&C is/was truly a major loser that got off on banning people on an online forum, apparently the only reason he/she was a mod in the first place is because of a relation to somebody that worked at One Bills Drive. Either way good riddance, no hardcore fans should ever waste their time on official team run forums to being with. Private, unofficial ones like this are always the best route for engaging in serious hardcore discussion.
  19. Hoodie and Brady are the GOAT period, not just in the NFL but all pro sports. Yes it sucks as Bills fans to have to watch this given our own circumstances the last 17 years and the Pats being in the same division but we'll never see something like this again and it has to be respected no matter how much you love or hate the Patriots.
  20. A couple more Patriots metrics to ponder.... 1) Patriots allowed 32.0 PPG in Weeks 1-4 (31st in NFL) Since Week 5, they have allowed the fewest PPG in the NFL (13.1) 2) Patriots have not trailed at any point of a game since 10/29 against the Chargers. Just insane how good this team gets as the season wears on.
  21. Despite the outrage over his benching, Manning is pretty much finished. We need to stick with NP as the starter heading into 2018 and double down on drafting another QB to compete with him.
  22. I think NP will start next week and the rest of the year if Taylor doesn't show anything different in this game which is pretty much expected to be another lopsided loss. Also why McD said TT is only the starter again this week and wouldn't comment beyond that. Can't stick with a QB (whose not going to be here next year anyway) that has no guts and continues to run out of bounds and throw 2 yard passes on 3rd down. In fact I believe TT was quoted this week saying 16 points against the Pats won't cut it so there's some accountability right there.
  23. Doesn't look like it at this point, unfortunately for them looks like a step back season but they've had their own issues with QB and injury. Goes to show just how valuable Ryan Tannenhill was to that team after all. Either way still think their future is brighter than most teams (maybe even the Bills too) with the Tannebaum/Gase combo in place.
  24. I still think we are going to see NP play again this season as soon as the 2nd half in this weeks game if TT insists on playing the way he always does. And as bad as his debut was people still need to consider it was his first NFL start, on the road against a team that now looks like one of the best in the NFL. Also Casey Hayward (who picked off NP several times) is now graded out as the #1 DB in the entire NFL by PFF. I still believe NP could be the answer but time will tell.
  25. Very true and the same applies to the Bills. This is why I caution all the fans that think we are in some sort of can't lose proposition this year with all the draft picks we have in terms of addressing the QB position Because it won't mean a thing if... 1) A team in the top 5-10 range isn't willing to trade with the Bills no matter what we offer 2) We draft the wrong guy 3) We do draft the right guy but ruin him with bad coaching or he gets hurt behind a terrible oline (both very much in question as it pertains to this team right now) So many things truly need to line up to find an elusive franchise QB....
