Even thought the Pats defense is vastly improved since the first month of the season, the one achilles heal they might have is their pass defense which has been somewhat exploited again the last few weeks by Cutler and Big Ben. But again that's the problem for the Bills, unless we play NP we don't have any real chance of trying to exploit that matchup which is probably why we do lose big again and the game is over by halftime.

John Murphy Scolds Bills Fans For Being "Negative"
SaviorPeterman replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
John Murphy is nothing more than another paid mouthpiece hand picked by Russ Brandon to spew the same rah rah company line drivel over and over again. A true master of spreading the OBD Koolaid. -
I heard a similar rumor as well from a source in Boston. And it's not that shocking considering that Hoodies loves to sell high and buy low. Either way you look at though it's hard to cut or trade the greatest player of all time regardless of what a team might be willing to offer. As for Jimmy G, he is certainly looking the part so far in San Fran but Pats fans shouldn't have regrets especially if Brady plays another 5 years and wins at least one more championship in the process.

ESPN predicts Alex Smith as starting Bills QB in 2018.
SaviorPeterman replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the choice was between TT and Alex Smith then yes I'd certainly make the swap in a heartbeat. However the more viable (and preferred) solution is to hand the offense over to Nathan Peterman and draft another mid round rookie to develop and be his backup. I truly think NP is going to have a great offseason and be primed for a big year next year as the starter. -
While it's certainly a sad commentary on this team regarding the lack of 300+ yard passing games in recent years with TT as the starter, the bigger issue is playing a complete 60 minute football game which this team has not done under McD so far which is another red flag regarding whether or not he might be the answer in Buffalo long term. Obviously the perfect week to play that perfect 60 minute game regardless of the passing stats would be this week if we have any glimmer of hope keeping the game competitive beyond halftime and possibly pulling off one of the bigger upsets this league has seen in the last 10 years.

Actually I do have a clue, it's called facts. And what exactly have the Pegulas done to indicate they are good pro sports owners so far? The Sabres are hands down the worst team in the NHL under their ownership. The current dreadful situation speaks for itself and I feel sorry for anybody that wastes money watching such garbage. Also no owner with a clue would keep a clown like Russ Brandon employed. In fact they promoted this fool and gave him even more power with both the Bills and Sabres and it's no coincidence the Sabres have gotten progressively worse since Brandon's been involved. As for the bills, there's still a very good chance they bottom out next year even if they somehow miraculously make the playoffs this season. This team is going to look completely different and we still don't know that this current regime is going to provide a long term solution and fix. Bottom line, though the Pegulas (and Russ Brandon) are the reason we let the best head coach we've had since Wade Phillips get away.

Bills do worse in 2nd matchup vs the Patriots
SaviorPeterman replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have yet to play a full 60 minute game all season and they would need to do that just to keep this game close in the 4th quarter and have a chance at the upset let alone actually win. -
Some will laugh at this thought, but why not considering how wide open the conference is outside of New England. In fact I've felt all along that the Jags are the single biggest threat to the Patriots this year because of their defense. And all of a sudden Bortles has been on fire the last month so you have to give St. Doug and Nate Hackett a lot of credit and if they have an offense that can score points in the playoffs look out. Either way I would be very surprised if Marrone doesn't win coach of the year over McVay for the sole reason of salvaging Bortles career and completely turning around a Jags team that was god awful the previous few years. He's done yeoman's work at every level and living up to the young Bill Parcells comparisons. Also yes Marrone does look very smart in hindsight for ditching this organization even if it took him a few years to make it back to the top of the coaching food chain. He obviously had the Pegulas pegged so to speak and realized they had no business being pro sports owners. In five years when the Bills are likely still floundering and Marrone has led the Jags to at least one championship it will be another painful footnote and reminder for Bills fans.

Mike Tolbert - Pro Bowl FB Alternate?
SaviorPeterman replied to BoccesOnTransit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same reason he's still occupying an NFL roster, he must have dirt on a lot of people around the league and not just McD and/or Dennison. Either way the probowl has been a joke for years now and can't believe people still watch the game or pay attention to the voting. -
What happened to Derek Carr?
SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both Carr and Winston were expected to make big strides this year which is why the pundits and experts picked both the Raiders and Bucs as SB contenders this year. Also same reason the Bills schedule was brutal on paper heading into 2017. But in the end it just goes to show that nothing is guaranteed in this league. And while I think both will rebound and have better seasons next year, it goes to show how the bills have their work cut out for them even if they make some sort of blockbuster deal to land a top 5 draft pick and take a QB. -
Bills do worse in 2nd matchup vs the Patriots
SaviorPeterman replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only chance we have is if McD plays some serious 4-D chess and makes a surprise switch at QB right before kickoff and starts NP instead of TT. Either way chances of beating a well oiled machine like the Pats in December on the road is minimal at best regardless who is playing QB for the Bills. -
So if we end up 9-7 and lose a tie-breaker...
SaviorPeterman replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Regardless of the QB decision the defense was terrible and played the same way they did the previous 2 weeks against the Jets and Saints. And while I certainly don't believe TT would have thrown 5 INT's, he obviously wouldn't have scored enough points to match what Rivers and the Chargers did even if it wasn't 40+ because of the early hole. -
Belichick knows our team better than our own coaches
SaviorPeterman replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anybody that wouldn't want BB as their head coach is smoking crack. Sure he might not have 6 championships without Brady but I'm sure he'd have at least one with somebody else playing QB especially considering all the QB's he's drafted in recent years behind him. He simply knows every intricate detail that matters and will always outscheme and outwork your team. -
So if we end up 9-7 and lose a tie-breaker...
SaviorPeterman replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some will insist it was the chargers and that we somehow would have beat them with Taylor starting, but that is a fallacy and the games that truly cost this team the season are the Bengals and Jets. Two terrible teams that we should have beat on the road if not for McD's play not to lose mentality, especially against the Bengals when we had one of the early season 3+ turnover games from our defense. No excuse not to win, let alone the game even be close at the end but it proved this team simply wasn't as good as most thought. So if/when we do miss out by one lousy game that's where the blame falls. In fact it reminds me a lot of 2004 when everybody still points fingers at the season finale at home against the Steelers 3rd stringers, but in reality that game wouldn't have mattered either if not for a ridiculous last second loss to the Jaguars at home in the season opener when Nate Clements completely blew the game and allowed the game winning TD to the Jags. -
Bills have always played better against the Pats in NE vs at home. And quite frankly that's the only small glimmer of hope this team has of winning on Sunday but still think it won't be that close because of the QB situation and not likely being able to score more than 10 points against the Pats when we are going to need at least 24+

SaviorPeterman replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haha, Gase has a long way to go. But he certainly flopped last week against the Bills thankfully. In fact McD was playing some serious 4-D chess and had a great gameplan to smash Miami after their big win on MNF against the Pats. -
Kelly vs Marino -- Bills dominance
SaviorPeterman replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both Marino and JK are all time greats, but I don't care what anybody says and not afraid to admit that Marino was the superior QB to JK. And this is no indictment against JK and the margin is great, but you have to consider what Marino meant to his team and how he truly carried them many years with lackluster teams around him and virtually no running game unlike the Bills who also had an all time great RB, WR, DE, etc to pair with JK. In the end it sucks that both of them never won a SB. -
Pro bowl selections are in
SaviorPeterman replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The probowl has always been a joke. And while I certainly agree with the Hyde and McCoy selections, I think Incognito is actually having his worst season as a Bill and shouldn't be on there. As for Tolbert making it as an alternate, this guy must have dirt on a lot of people around the league and not just McD and Dennison.... -
Jerry Hughes has to step up NOW
SaviorPeterman replied to Real McClappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Won't be surprised if these are the final 2 games of Hughes Bills career especially since this is the 3rd straight year of him not producing for this team. In fact as of today he has 3 meager sacks all season which is lower than the totals he had the two seasons under Rex so there goes the excuse that it's the scheme. And pretty sure he was one of the vocal players beating that drum after Rex left. Regardless his contract don't warrant the production and he's still a liability on the field anyway with his hot headed behavior. -
Belichick knows our team better than our own coaches
SaviorPeterman replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hoodie is always watching. Like a vulture lurking waiting to strike, he knows every NFL team inside and out which is why he's the greatest head coach in all pro sports history not just the NFL. -
Gronk already cost us the playoffs
SaviorPeterman replied to re enlightener's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gronk is a dirty player but his game is filthy. He straight up laughed in the Steelers defense face after scoring the game winning TD the other day. Still can't believe we passed on him for Torrell Troup, one of the bigger busts this team has seen the last 17 years. -
Chargers disappointed against the Chiefs but I still think they are very good and definitely not losing their last 2 games against the Raiders and Jets. Bills should have taken care of business against the same pathetic Jets team (and even more pathetic Bengals team) and they might just be in the tourney without relying on crazy tie breaker scenarios and good teams blowing games against inferior opponents.

Zay Jones right now is a bust
SaviorPeterman replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think he's a bust, but it's weird how he's regressed again after seemingly figuring things out midseason. But in the end it's still unfair to truly evaluate Zay Jones or any WR on this roster with TT as the QB. Even Jordan Matthews made some very telling statements recently suggesting that the WR's weren't the problem. He's likely not going to be back with the Bills next year but he's also posted much better numbers before coming to Buffalo and having TT as his primary QB. -
I heard from a well placed source of mine that if not for the concussion Peterman would have remained the starter for the Dolphins game last week. Same source also told me that there is serious consideration right now to start NP this week in Foxboro, but even if Taylor starts he'll be on a short leash if the offense doesn't do anything against the Pats in the 1st half and the game is still close in the 3rd quarter. Regardess it doesn't take a genius to figure out the Bills have very little chance of winning this game no matter who starts at QB. Although the thinking man certainly realizes that NP is the better option and always has been.
