  1. We can all look at this negatively. But, maybe this lights a fire under Tyrod, maybe he was sitting there thinking he was untouchable and this was the rude awakening he needed to get out there and be hungry and take shots downfield. Similar to the end of last year when he was trying to show what he was capable of.
  2. You can be done all you want. I think allot of the AFC is done this year. We have real opportunity this year to back into the playoffs with a losing record. NFC is dominating football and only a handful of AFC teams look decent. Patriots, Steelers and you can say but it's hard to admit Jaguars. Beyond that no team has been consistent and even those teams have shown glaring weaknesses. If we can right the ship even a little bit and win two or three more games we can make the playoffs. I know winning one game is hard to believe right now.
  3. Like my grandfather always says. You should draft a low risk QB every year because you never know when one turns out to be the next great QB. With a 5th rd it was a very low risk and we needed a backup. He outplayed Cardale and Yates in the preseason and earned the backup job. I still don't think we have seen the last of Peterman and I do believe he's not as bad as he showed in Los Angeles. Traveling to the west coast and going against the best pass rushing duo in the league was a tall task to hand over to an inexperienced rookie.
  4. With how terrible Kansas City is playing we may actually have a chance to win with Tyrod in there. Not because he's a great QB but, because the other team is playing terrible 9 points may actually win it.
  5. I've sat down on Sunday and watched the game in real time and seen guys waving wide open down the field only for him to look at one guy covered and either tuck and run or dump it to the RB or TE. I'm tired of screaming throw the dang ball and if it gets picked occasionally it happens. Even the best QB's throw picks. Take a risk make a second read, throw a pass on time and accurately. It's been a frustrating 17 years.
  6. I know Preseason doesn't count and garbage time doesn't count. At some point the National Media needs to watch some game tape and really see what allot of fans have seen this year. Peterman outplayed Tyrod in every facet in Preseason and in the same garbage time that Peterman had Tyrod still couldn't hit the broad side of a barn against the Saints. Why are they so sure Peterman isn't going to come out and play well. I really hope Peterman proves them completely wrong and gets this offense running on all cylinders. Then I can say once more screw you National Media.
  7. Getting the Ball out quickly negates the pass rush. Brady has been doing it to us for years. He dink and doinks us to death then when our dline is tired he starts taking shots down the field. Has anyone been paying attention. Then the passes down field open up the run and screen game just to bait us into crowding the line then he throws it over the top again or does slants and short routes. It's how a game is supposed to be called against a good defense.
  8. It's gonna be weird seeing a QB that actually throws to WRs and not just TE's and RB's. Maybe we will find out our WR's weren't that bad to begin with.
  9. Washington drafted RG3 and Cousins in the same draft. No one expected Cousins to be the franchise QB just goes to show you keep taking QB's until one sticks.
  10. It's almost like they didn't watch Peterman Scramble in preseason. Is he the athlete that Tyrod is absolutely not, but he showed he is no one trick pony and has a little speed to him.
  11. I agree with the fact that you can't assess Peterman in garbage time. But, I wonder if McCoach is trying not to turn the locker room against him by benching a captain. Like back when we started Robosack over Flutie because we paid Rob Johnson so much money. I just wanna see something different out of this team.
  12. The game was out of hand by the 4th quarter and Tyrod still wasn't throwing the ball around. Usually when a QB is way behind they throw for allot of yards trying to comeback. They'll take deep shots and throw into tighter windows. Tyrod did not have an answer and Captain check down was at it again. They kept him in a bubble in the backfield and he clearly showed that he cannot get the ball out quickly. I'm not saying Peterman is the answer to Buffalo's QB riddle, but if every time we go down two scores we have to hear that Tyrod is not a QB capable of mounting a comeback then maybe he shouldn't be a QB at all.
  13. With how terrible our offense was today I can't put this blowout on the defense. They were in all game and were winded by half time. We need to be able to sustain drives and at least get a few first downs to give the defense a breather. The Gap control and pushing the pocket back technique used by the Saints and even the Jets last week has given a blueprint to teams on how to make Tyrod ineffective. His inability to get the ball out quickly is killing our offense.
  14. I know that the Saints Defense has improved, but give me a break they aren't that good. No way they are better than Carolina or Denver and we put up a decent amount of points on Denver. Threw for more than 56 yards against Carolina too. No more excuses with lack of weapons on offense we had our full array other than Zay and still couldn't move the ball until Peterman got in.
  15. After seeing what Woods has been able to do with Goff and Watkins to a lesser extent. I am starting to believe that wr's were not the problem to begin with, having a QB capable of getting a ball to the playmakers is. Why not let the rookie show his stuff Tyrod has had plenty of time to show what he has and even in our wins this year hardly any of it would I say is because Tyrod played so well. He's a glorified game manager that has shown his vision is flawed and he doesn't trust his eyes.
  16. We have to beat the teams that we should beat. I don't care how well we play against the best teams in the league. You have to have 10 wins to get in, maybe get lucky with 9. Loss to Cincinnati and the Jets are hurting us right now. Two teams that are very beatable. Falcons and Broncos have struggled this year making our wins less impressive. Miami is not a team to sleep on when Cutler is on they have the weapons to be dangerous even without Ajayi and that defense can be good at times as well. Jacoby Brissett has played pretty well for Indy they are lacking the defense is all. There is no Gimmies in the NFL (sans Browns LOL)
  17. I know you guys knock on SaviorPeterman's post's but, he starts allot of the good conversations on here and you have to have someone stirring the pot. We've all been there at some point during the last 17 seasons. It's not hard to have no faith in this team after being let down for so many years in a row. It's even worse when they start fast and finally look like it's all coming together only for our depth or scheme get dismantled mid way through the season and not be able to recover. Crossing my fingers that this year is different but, the jets game was very disheartening. Glad to be a part of this forum. Even though I am no longer in western new York it will always be my home and the Bills will always be my team. GO Bills!
  18. We lost for the exact same reason we have been winning. Turnovers stopping the run and limiting penalties. Playcalling was an issue when i was counting eight guys in the box and we kept trying to run dive plays with Tolbert. With shady sometimes he finds a crease even with a stacked box but, Tolbert usually gets stopped. Stupid penalties and costly turnovers really swayed the game towards the Jets and our defense was getting gassed because the offense couldn't stay on the field.
  19. I can see Benjamin playing a similar role this game to Justin hunter last year where he comes in on 3rd downs or red zone plays and catches a td. Psyched for tonight! Go Bills! Big game!
  20. I for one living in the Tampa Bay Area cannot face another year of losing to the Buccaneers I'm tired of my friends ridiculing me and making fun of my team. I can't do it for another 4 years. Last time we went into Tampa favored they had Glennon at QB and they beat us in all phases on my birthday no less. C'mon guys win won so I don't have to hide for another 4 years. Wanna wear my Jersey with pride.
  21. I usually only watch the Thursday, Sunday and Monday night games if it has some sort of fantasy impact for me: The Bills are playing, or it's a great matchup. Other than that it's not worth being tired the next day.
  22. I think the fans in Buffalo look at the greatest QB's of all time Brady, Manning, Montana and see pocket passers that lead the teams to championships and they are envious of that. Having a 6 foot tall QB that can run fast and struggles to read defenses and rarely throws wrs open just does not instill confidence in our QB. I think his height is a bigger factor to him JP Losman was white he was athletic out of Tulane and he had a huge arm but had the same problem. We are just sick of rooting for mediocrity. On the other hand Flutie was short and extended plays and when the chips were down he could step up and make plays. Very Athletic even shorter but he was able to throw wrs open and read defenses. We just wanna win and have a sustainable way to do it. Leaning on your defense to bail you out because your offense is almost non existent is not sustainable.
  23. Injuries have also had a huge factor in why allot of teams are around .500. For instance the Raiders who were favored to go deep in the playoffs are on a 4 game skid with an injured QB who came back too early. Tennesee is under performing without Mariota. Buffalo's passing game as anemic as it was is even worse now without its only true weapon in clay and no Mathews to spell him and Zay not being reliable. David Johnson really set back the cardinals who have since replaced him with Peterson. Bucs linebackers absence has turned their defense into swiss cheese. The Jets and Bills have exceeded expectations while the dolphins and Patriots have been inconsistent. Steelers finally had a decent win KC struggled yesterday. Eagles look like the class of the NFC. I am enjoying this season except for my pickems.
  24. I live in the tampa media area. The Buccaneers are a very talent filled team on both sides of the ball. Even with Fitzpatrick at QB he's throwing to Mike Evans, Desean Jackson, Cameron Brate, OJ Howard and Adam Humphries. They can put up points in chunks. Doug Martin is back and looked good he wasn't effective yesterday because the Game was out of hand too early. The defense is banged up the Linebacker tandem of Lavonte David and Kwon Alexander is as good as any in the league but they have been injured and not playing for allot of games this year. Gerald Mccoy anchors the middle of the D Line. They have two corners that are very up and down one minute they look like superstars the next they are dunces. That being said Lesean Mccoy should be able to run against them and Tyrod will have all day to run bootlegs to either side given they don't have a great pass rush. If our defense can continue to dominate and we pound the rock and eat clock we have a chance to win ugly in this one.
