OL doing pretty well, actually
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've hear multiple times that Tyrod is near the bottom of the league in time of drop back and release at around 3 seconds. Isn't that factor on why other teams can get pressure. The oline obviously has to hold their blocks longer and of course that would give other teams more time to create pressure. -
All i'm hinting at is that #1 receivers on other teams draw the #1 corner and even get help over the top and still get a 1000 yard seasons and close to double digit TD's. I really thought after watching Sammy coming out of college that he was that type of WR and seeing that he is just a little above average confirms to me that it was a bad draft pick by us.
-
It's Tyrod's fault he doesn't get more balls thrown to him and accurately. Zay's fault when his only job is to catch footballs and he drops them especially the ones thrown that are very catchable. I'm not counting the ones that are behind him or really low or way over his head. Zay showed he can make those catches and even some spectacular ones. Maybe he is one of those WR's you need to get involved early in the game to get them focused and then they are more engaged.
-
It's surprising to me because Woods has become their #1 receiver at least in yardage and catches and Kupp seems to be Goff's other favorite. Sammy only flashes at time and has been very inconsistent. The little bit of game that I have watched he has dropped a few balls.

Does Sammy draw the #1 Corner in LA? I'm asking I don't watch them enough to know.

NY Giants hire Dave Gettleman as GM
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Giants need a RB desperately they have not had any balance on that side of the ball for a long time. Giving Eli a run game could definitely extend his career and reduce the hits he's been taking. They have become so one dimensional and have had the talent at WR to do it that one great ala Saquon Barkley immediately changes their complexion and makes them a better team instantly. Hopefully Gettleman sees that and goes that direction. -
Does the Miami rivalry still matter?
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you think for one second Miami would not revel in the fact that they took us out of the playoffs your sadly mistaken. They have not forgotten the domination in the 90's like we haven't forgotten the 70's and early 80's against them. Sundays game will be no walk in the park. They are too talented a team to look past and as they showed against the Pats can turn it on and be dangerous. That being said Smoking Jay Cutler is probably already in vacation mode and will fake an injury by halftime. -
Penny-Wise? Possible McCoy heir apparent?
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everybody that wishes we still had Mike Gillislee have missed the fact that in a rb rotation after the few first games with the Patriots has completely lost his job and Romo pointed out why. When Gillislee is in he is not a viable receiving threat therefore making the play 2 dimensional instead of three. Either throwing to the WR's or TE or handing it off to Mike G. I found that interesting that is all. I do want a viable rb2 to spell Shady but again I think it should be done 3rd rd or later. I Really want Cousins then work on the Dline and Oline and LB a flier on a WR and RB. -
I loved watching Johnny in college dude could ball out and had such charisma. Really wanted to see it translate into the pro game. Unfortunately Johnny forgot that once you get to the dance you have to prepare and work even harder to stay there. He wasn't the big fish in a small pond anymore and staying out partying drinking and drugging killed his career. That being said I wish him well and hope he can pull a Flutie win couple Gray Cups and come back to the NFL a changed man.

Is the OP saying they would not want Derek Carr or Matthew Stafford on the Bills. Although this is a qb driven league both of these guys cannot win the game on their own it still requires some semblance of defense and special teams. Derek Carr was hurt allot this year. Stafford hasn't had the greatest year. I personally wouldn't want the Bills to pay these guys that much but both teams will rebound with some better supporting personnel.

Sunday is the biggest game since 2004
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm happy that we have a chance at the playoffs and all the games are flexed to help me not have a heart attack. I understand that our chances are low and we are counting on a few teams that have had down seasons but you never know. My biggest fear is laying an egg in Miami. -
[Vague Title]Take this for what it's worth.

I am not sold on any QB in this upcoming draft to bet the house on. Darnold looks like he needs allot of work honestly. Rosen has a real stuck up attitude about things but shows he can make all the throws so you have to wonder if mentally he is all there. Allen is an interesting prospect but doesn't appear pro ready. Mayfield is a wild card to me because of his production being in the Big 12 and his height but, I like his competitive spirit he still needs to mature. Mason Rudolph has the size and numbers as well again Big 12 so * on that. Lamar Jackson is TT with more picks. I know every year the combine and workouts change the draft order dramatically and we could be looking at a completely different board. Right now I think we should sit tight at our spot and take best available QB instead of reaching for prima donnas or guys that need to sit for a year or more. I'm ok with a flyer on Mayfield or Rudolph if they are there and then filling in the rest of the gaps with all the picks we have acquired. -
Should Al Riveron be investigated?

It was obvious that the WR thought about holding a Patriot therefore the flag is justified -Riveron -
Should Al Riveron be investigated?
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to ny33's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone saying we would have lost anyways doesn't understand how important momentum is during a game. To have multiple bad calls stop our momentum and bad calls continue their momentum could have been a multiple td swing. The game could of at least been allot closer at the end. To have a td overturned and all the phantom holding calls and pass interference calls all going against us was enough to kill our spirit and as soon as we were defeated the Patriots saw weakness and stepped on the gas. -
Upcoming fee agent DTs
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is there a Sam Adams available? I honestly think a big run stuffing DT that can take on two blockers immediately helps our pass rush and reduces our need for a DE. That being said Shaq has so far not lighted it up so a DE would be a nice pickup. Another Milano would help tremendously in the LB core. -
Chiefs to Start Mahomes in Week 17
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Meaningless game why not let the young guy get some reps and show what he can do. Alex Smith can sit comfortably and watch why he'll be on another team next year. -
the TT bashing is just so tiresome
buffalobloodfloridahome replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would take pretty much any of those QB's except maybe Bortles over TT and at least Bortles can wing it around and throw for 300 yards. He is just a turnover machine at times. Keenum has played way above what I thought he was capable of even though I remember him in college and he could ball back then. Mariota has been dinged up and hasn't played great this year but, I would still take him Smith and Foles can both sling the ball around. Is he saying that any one of these guys is not an instant upgrade at QB for us?
