    I left out Burrow

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this list going into this season. I do think there is a good chance this list changes dramatically over the next year as some of those players are old (Big Ben and Rivers), most likely plateaued (Tannehill and Carr), or getting progressively worse (Newton). Mayfield, Allen, and Darnold all have a chance to be top 3-5 on this list by the end of the season as long as they don't regress.

I didn't know those were the numbers.  That is alot...  I mean, relative to your point, you aren't wrong.  But, in a vacuum, if 1 to 2% of participants in an activity are being arrested, that is a real problem.

Those numbers are better than the national average, so the racist narrative that the league is made up of criminals and thugs is propaganda from right wing media.

I didn’t say that I think he should sign the tag. I said that the implication was made that he has no choice in what happens next. In fact, he does have a choice. He can hold out, he can sign the franchise tender and try to get the team to trade him, or he can simply play under the tag.

And he can act like a victim on Twitter because his career is being held hostage by some billionaire's kid.. I wouldn't doubt it if he comes out on top by bringing attention to his situation because the franchise tag isn't exactly fair and other GMs know this.

Would you also complain about your situation as though you have it so bad when there’s a global pandemic occurring and you could literally make yourself a life-changing amount of money with the strike of a pen?

Again, it’s his prerogative to hold out and do what he’s doing. No bones on my end. It’s also rather silly to act like he’s being held hostage by a $20M guaranteed contract offer.

But it's not silly at all. It's actually silly to think he should sign the tag. He is easily getting well over 40M guaranteed from any team that signs him.

uhhhhhh, NO. But he would get big money from some sucker GM and/or coach will think they can tame the untamable stallion

I like Allen, but putting myself in an objective GM's shoes, I'd find it VERY hard to sign Allen to any type of long term contract for big money. His level of production has been very mediocre and if he doesn't turn the corner in the next season, he is likely to end up on the bench in season following.

He has played quite a few games now and while I do still see his potential, I am definitely not sold. If he were a free agent today I'd be hard pressed to give him 2 years at 15-18 with 20 guaranteed.

I didn’t see a separate thread on this and felt like circumstances warranted it. I really thought that it was an April Fool’s joke. He hasn’t played since the 2015 season!! Obviously he was a great talent but struggled mightily with addiction.

This one is so interesting to me. Smith’s issues are well beyond that of Josh Gordon IMO. Gordon was a danger to himself. Smith was a danger to everyone. I hope that he stays clean and gets his life back on track. I’m just shocked that someone would take a shot on ANYONE this far removed from their last game, let alone someone with Smith’s checkered past.

Gordon smoked weed. He wasn't a danger to anyone. At all. In my opinion, he should get some type of reparations for all of the money in his contracts that he didn't receive due to his suspensions.

  7. How much would you pay Josh Allen if he were a FA today? 10, 15, 20 mil a year??

Russell Wilson gets 35 a year, Tom Brady just got 25, and Tyrod and Fitz are at 5.5.

He already makes 5.2 a year so I doubt he would take less than that, but in your most objective opinion, how much do you think Josh Allen is worth? How many years and how much guaranteed? Teddy Bridgewater just got 21 million a year.. Has Josh shown enough yet to be worth more than Bridgewater?

  8. I think the defense is going to be top 10 whether they get an elite DE or not. Can't say the same for the offense, and the glaring hole at the RB position. Frank Gore got a lot of touches last year, even when Singletary was healthy. His production should be easy to replace by going for a FA RB with a name I've heard before, or getting one in the earlier rounds of the draft.

    I'm pretty sure you said:

he certainly didn't do a great job coming back from behind.

Ok, lets use rushing then... Jackson had 1200 yards rushing. 80 yards a game. That is roughly what Frank Gore (HOF) and Devin Singletary rushed for COMBINED. While throwing 16 more TDs than Allen on 50 less pass attempts.. Good god, you are the trolls people not me.. Try to be objective. Jackson is better than Allen

EJ never ever made a single pass as good as Allen. If you think there are any similarities between EJ and Allen other than first round picks of the Bills, you know nothing about football. Nothing.

EJ had poor offensive line play, bad WRs.. no run game.. you know all the same excuses that are made for Allen's poor play.
