  1. No, it’s crazy how people who don’t know the first thing about football will defend an indefensible management of the game. Please tell us how that was a brilliant timeout and that we were so lucky to have someone of his caliber on the sideline there. The guy has done absolutely nothing to improve himself as a coach for 8 years. Had never put in a single days work to better himself as a game manager and you want to call other people idiots for pointing out him calling a timeout that a 10 year old wouldn’t have. Get over yourself.
  2. It’s unreal. Literally kids that play Madden wouldn’t call timeout there. I don’t even think Matt Eberflus would have.
  3. This is so dense. The call by the coach was a disaster in it of itself, there is literally no defending it, which is why you won’t. He cost us with 23 seconds and he’s going to do it again in the playoffs. You could literally see it on Josh’s face. He knew it was over as soon as McD called the most amateur timeout of the season.
  4. No. I never have any faith that McD’s side of the ball will come up with a big stop at the end of a game.
  5. McD made a rookie mistake in year 8 of his career. That’s generous too, I don’t think even most rookies would have called timeout there. How long does he need to stop botching games like that? A decade? Two decades???
  6. Did you actually watch what happened there? Did you see the timeout that literally directly cost us any shot at a comeback?
  7. I’ll love watching how people will defend this
  8. As it should when he has #17. That's rightfully the expectation. Plenty of coaches could have "successful" regular seasons with that level of a QB.
  9. No. McD's side of the ball has failed us in literally every single postseason, along with his game management. Literally every single one. Since going to the AFC title game 4 years ago we've had 3 straight Division Round exits with a generational QB. He has wildly underperformed with what he's had to work with. He's been given a tremendous amount of resources for his side of the ball and a QB on the other side who has with the exception of one game delivered consistently over the years only to NEVER, ever come up big in big moments or games. It has to change in January for that sentiment to go away as many have said, it's that simple. Regular season "success" with at worst the 2nd best QB in the league and a generational talent just doesn't mean much. Potentially wasting his entire 20's with no Super Bowl because of the incredibly lackluster support in January from his side of the ball and game management responsibilities would be a massive problem and disappointment. I don't understand the faction of people who are saying we've had "too much success" to let him go. 3 straight Divisional Round exits with a guy you should be in the SB conversation with every year? One of those exits which directly featured his personal own massive meltdown that cost it for us? I don't get it.
  10. I’m there, I love going to CA! I spend most of my time there in San Diego, that may be why. I’ll just drive up the couple hours that morning for the game. Pumped!
  11. I saw thar, most expensive game I’ve seen this year.
  12. It’s obviously on both Eberflus and Caleb…but I just don’t get how you can be a coach on the sideline watching what’s happening and the clock and just let it happen like that.
  13. That was McD-level stupidity
  14. What is he in January?
  15. I would disagree with you on the comedy part. There's a lot of good comedy out there right now.
  16. I don't really mind them outside of hating Travis for being a Chief. I saw Jason on the Mythical Kitchen Last Meal thing and he seemed cool.
  17. That's how I saw it too. I really didn't think anymore of it.
  18. I would agree on the Beane part
  19. 2021 wasn’t bad luck, it was bad coaching and yes, again demanding for 17 to be Superman. Coaching led by McD has been a massive liability for us, especially in January. I’m not sure much of that part has changed. I think our roster is better than last year overall and hope that’s enough to win in spite of our deficiencies on the sidelines, but again we saw the same thing we’re up against - plays that generally don’t work that Allen has to go off script and especially make great plays on 3rd and longs. He got it done but that’s why it’s so hard for us to win in January. That combined with McD’s D that never comes up big in those games…which he even knew going into that 4th and 2 that they wouldn’t have gotten that stop…and I think it’s the same script that we’re hoping for with a different ending from which is possible with Josh. But I’m not seeing what’s noticeably different…dude still has to wear the cape.
  20. I’m not sure there’s a whole lot that’s different about the overall product though. Not much of what Brady was doing was actually working, it was still a lot of Josh wearing the cape on 3rd and 4th down. Those are not high percentage plays, he’s just an animal but it makes it all so much harder. The ask from him is much more than the ask of the Chiefs from Mahomes. And we knew if we kicked the FG and made them score a TD…they would have. Same if we didn’t convert and they just needed a FG. McD knows his side of the ball can’t get it done when it matters most, especially against that team. I’m still optimistic because I think #17 can win us that game in January. But I think it’s the same story as all the other seasons in the playoffs under this regime…he’s going to have to be Superman for us to do it.
  21. Right. I used to like Barstool years ago, not really anymore, but they have a big following obviously. A lot of people probably disagree because they still have so many followers, which is fine as there’s plenty of content to go around for everyone, but I thought their content started to become much more manufactured than it used to be. Also agree on Gruden. I didn’t like him on Monday nights because he was so afraid to be critical, especially of QB’s because he probably didn’t want to be disliked by them. I think he even glazed on Trent Edwards one night where he was literally just in Captain Checkdown mode and I just couldn’t believe he was watching the same game I was.
  22. I haven't come to this section for a long time because it's so largely just hateful and it become almost impossible to just have normal discussions...but yeah a lot of people here forget that last part. Honestly myself included as I let myself get sucked into it when I was coming here. I'm more detached also because I don't like either candidate but hopefully people are at least somewhat cool to the other side if their person wins. But I have my doubts about that.
  23. It was probably because of last season and how it carried over and he had to basically win a competition to stay
