Makes me dislike McD that much more. -

This is so painful to watch. We would’ve had a great shot at beating either team. If only McD hadn’t gagged away our season. -
Adam Gase in the mix for Pats OC

How does Gase keep doing this? It does make me feel like siding more with Brian Flores. This guy is a horrific coach and just keeps landing good jobs. -
Sean Payton on the end of the Bills-Chiefs game
HomeskillitMoorman replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. It’s a tougher pill to swallow for me knowing McD blew that game, especially after watching 17 leave his blood, sweat, and tears out there. That just should not happen. I hope so with McD, but I’m not as encouraged as you. He was also horrible in last years AFC championship game and had a year to let that marinate and we still saw him bungle it this year. Exactly. That wasn’t asking Bass to do something foreign. He’s right about the D, wrong about the kickoff as he probably just doesn’t have that familiarity with what we did all season. -
Yup, that's what we're stuck with for now. I just wonder what the people who say he's still learning the job think of a guy like Zac Taylor that doesn't need over 5 years of head coaching experience to understand how to make quality in-game decisions.
-
This is truth. If you watched that game, you could see the Bengals coaches were prepared and calm, and even enjoying those big moments. McDeerInTheHeadlights is lost when things get real.

They have a competent head coach.

Allen's there. The problem is McD isn't on his level.

McD is going on year 6 to grasp in-game decision making and build a D that can get any kind of stop late in a game, including basically building this team to beat KC and hasn’t. Zac Taylor and the Bengals just did it in 3. Congrats to them.
-
Why doesn’t Zac Taylor have to “learn and grow” from bumbling away a close game? He looks confident and like he’s having fun while McD looks like a deer in headlights in those moments.

I hope Josh does something cooler than insurance. But I get it, those companies have big dollars to spend on ads. Maybe they’d have a little laugh about this too, like a Geico dude showing them how fast an app can give them an estimate and he says something like “you did all of that in 13 seconds???” Or maybe it’s too soon.

Daboll and Frazier....have they run their course here?!?
HomeskillitMoorman replied to Sweats's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's McD's D. Frazier is an extension of him. It's the strangest thing to me that people want McD to stay and for Frazier to go, as if that's going to make some kind of massive impact. -

Wheres his holding highlights? I’ve been told here that’s much more important than punting abilities -
Frazier/McDummit catching strays

Everyone knows McD blew it -
Spoiler alert: We will have injuries next season too. And the year after that. And the years after that. Every team does.

Frazier getting second interview with Joe Schoen and NYG
HomeskillitMoorman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's McD's defense. It must be so nice for him that people are putting the blame on the DC, the guy who's an extension of what the head coach wants to do. It may be McDermott's biggest accomplishment here that he's somehow free from any kind of accountability from a sizable chunk of the fanbase. -
I don't really understand how people want to keep McD and say Frazier can go. It's McD's defense, Frazier is an extension of what he wants to do. And obviously McD is heavily involved as he should be, but he shares any of the same kind of blame for what the D did as Frazier. What's worse is McD made horrible in-game decisions on top of that. I'm honestly trying to figure out where the logic is in saying the head coach was totally fine but the DC wasn't.

McDermott end of season press conference
HomeskillitMoorman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Capacchio? I remember back in the day when that dude used to do a postgame show on Justin.tv if people remember what that was. He was fun to listen to back then. He is basically just a homer though. You’re not gonna get much good stuff from this Buffalo media. -
What are the top three worst losses in franchise history?
HomeskillitMoorman replied to VaMilBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
We had the rug pulled out from underneath us by our own head coach -
Some of you are acting like he’s a rookie head coach. This was his 5th year!!! People said he’d learn and grow from his terrible in-game decision making after last years loss to the Chiefs and now he just did it again! We shouldn’t expect for a 5th year coach to know to pop up or squib a kick there or that there’s no point to defending the sidelines with 13 seconds when they have all 3 timeouts? I mean what are we talking about here?

Mahomes would’ve had McD on the Bills, so I’d say the Chiefs would’ve won by a similar margin.
